  • How to redirect 'aaa.com' to 'www.aaa.com'?

    - by Nan Li
I've mapped 'aaa.com' and 'www.aaa.com' to the same ip address with my hosting service provider. But because my SSL certificate only works for 'www.aaa.com', so what I want is when the user visit 'aaa.com', he will be redirected to 'www.aaa.com'. I'm using ASP.Net MVC and IIS 7. Thanks

  • Using UCMA to connect to 3CX?

    - by Rodney Burton
Has anyone used Microsoft's UCMA 2.0 SDK to connect to 3CX's free IP PBX to add voice capabilities to their application? If so, does it work? What I am trying to accomplish is having a windows form app running on 2 or more computers, and each person can connect to another person and carry on a voice conversation using their headset connected to their computer. App is in C# w/ .NET3.5 SP1.

  • finding distance between two UK addresses

    - by effkay
Hello; I need to write an application which is to calculate the estimated driving distance between two UK addresses; I think I can use Google as following: http://maps.google.com/maps/nav?q=from:London%20to:Dover However, anyone knows what is the daily/monthly limit of querying the database from a single IP address? I need to implement in a commercial application (freight services), is there any reliable alternative? Development language/platform: C#, .NET Regards,

  • Public Wildcard Domain Name To Resolve To 127.0.0.1

    - by Rahul
Is anyone aware of a public wildcard domain name that resolves to IP address 127.0.0.1. For example if I wanted to test a URL locally such as mywebsite.localhost.com or example.localhost.com but I don't have control of DNS settings (hosts file or whatever) then I would use this public DNS to resolve to 127.0.0.1. It needs to be wildcarded so that no matter whatever comes before localhost.com it still resolves to 127.0.0.1.

  • What's the right way to communicate between 2 or more .Net applications running on a same computer w

    - by Ivan
If my applications run on a same computer or even on different computers in a same LAN and need intense and quick communication, it seems illogical for me to use text-encoded web services and HTTP. I could possibly use IP/TCP/UDP sockets and invent my own protocols, but believe there is a standard way for .Net applications to send/receive object instances (and, maybe, even sharing an object by reference?). Can you tell me what's that standard way? I am only interested in .Net Framework 4 applications and don't need to support legacy frameworks.

  • Lighttpd check request headers in configuration

    - by Mike Hayes
Hi I was wondering if it was possible in the configuration of Lighttpd to read request headers, I've searched and searched.. apparently it's not possible. For example, conditional configuration based upon IP address: $HTTP["remoteip"] == "0.0.0.0" { // Do something } Is there something similar to check headers, for example: $HTTP["X-Some-Header"] == "Value" { // Do something } I'm thinking there isn't but thought I would post here as a last resort. Google didn't help much, and Lighttpd documentation would suggest this is not possible. Thanks Mike

  • Middleware with generic communication media layer

    - by Tom
Greetings all, I'm trying to implement middleware (driver) for an embedded device with generic communication media layer. Not sure what is the best way to do it so I'm seeking an advice from more experienced stackoverflow users:). Basically we've got devices around the country communicating with our servers (or a pda/laptop in used in field). Usual form of communication is over TCP/IP, but could be also using usb, RF dongle, IR, etc. The plan is to have object corresponding with each of these devices, handling the proprietary protocol on one side and requests/responses from other internal systems on the other. The thing is how create something generic in between the media and the handling objects. I had a play around with the TCP dispatcher using boost.asio but trying to create something generic seems like a nightmare :). Anybody tried to do something like that? What is the best way how to do it? Example: Device connects to our Linux server. New middleware instance is created (on the server) which announces itself to one of the running services (details are not important). The service is responsible for making sure that device's time is synchronized. So it asks the middleware what is the device's time, driver translates it to device language (protocol) and sends the message, device responses and driver again translates it for the service. This might seem as a bit overkill for such a simple request but imagine there are more complex requests which the driver must translate, also there are several versions of the device which use different protocol, etc. but would use the same time sync service. The goal is to abstract the devices through the drivers to be able to use the same service to communicate with them. Another example: we find out that the remote communications with the device are down. So we send somebody out with PDA, he connects to the device using USB cable. Starts up the application which has the same functionality as the timesync service. Again middleware instance is created (on the PDA) to translate communication between application and the device this time only using USB/serial media not TCP/IP as in previous example. I hope it makes more sense now :) Cheers, Tom

  • Motion detection in compressed domain (JPEG/Mpeg4/H264)

    - by paft
everyone! I process video from IP cameras and have wrote a motion detection algorithm based on decompressed video analysis. But i really something more fast. I've found several papers about compressed domain analysis but have failed to find any implementations. Can anyone recommend me some code? found materials: http://www.ist-live.org/intranet/school-of-informatics-university-of-bradford001-7/41410206.pdf/view http://doc.rero.ch/lm.php?url=1000,43,4,20061128120121-NA/Bracamonte_Javier_-_A_Low_Complexity_Change_Detection_Algorithm_20061128.pdf

  • Can I make ruby send network traffic over a specific iface?

    - by rjorgenson
I am writing a script that grabs the external IP address along with some other information about each iface. I can't figure out how to make ruby send traffic over a specific iface(eth0 and wlan0 for example). I am currently using the open-uri library to open http://whatismyip.org and read it into a variable. def get_external_ip begin open("http://whatismyip.org") { |f| return f.read } rescue return "none" end end Is there any way to specify this at runtime of the script or from within the script itself(ideally)?

    I have this XML at http://localhost/file.xml: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <val:Root xmlns:val="http://www.hw-group.com/XMLSchema/ste/values.xsd"> <Agent> <Version>2.0.3</Version> <XmlVer>1.01</XmlVer> <DeviceName>HWg-STE</DeviceName> <Model>33</Model> <vendor_id>0</vendor_id> <MAC>00:0A:DA:01:DA:DA</MAC> <IP>192.168.1.1</IP> <MASK>255.255.255.0</MASK> <sys_name>HWg-STE</sys_name> <sys_location/> <sys_contact> HWg-STE:For more information try http://www.hw-group.com </sys_contact> </Agent> <SenSet> <Entry> <ID>215</ID> <Name>Home</Name> <Units>C</Units> <Value>27.7</Value> <Min>10.0</Min> <Max>40.0</Max> <Hyst>0.0</Hyst> <EmailSMS>1</EmailSMS> <State>1</State> </Entry> </SenSet> </val:Root> I am trying to read this from my c# code: static void Main(string[] args) { var xmlDoc = new XmlDocument(); xmlDoc.Load("http://localhost/file.xml"); XmlElement root = xmlDoc.DocumentElement; // Create an XmlNamespaceManager to resolve the default namespace. XmlNamespaceManager nsmgr = new XmlNamespaceManager(xmlDoc.NameTable); nsmgr.AddNamespace("val", "http://www.hw-group.com/XMLSchema/ste/values.xsd"); XmlNodeList nodes = root.SelectNodes("/val:SenSet/val:Entry"); foreach (XmlNode node in nodes) { string name = node["Name"].InnerText; string value = node["Value"].InnerText; Console.Write("name\t{0}\value\t{1}", name, value); } Console.ReadKey(); } } Problem is that the node is empty. I understand this is a common newbie problem when reading XML, still not able to solve what I am doing wrong, probably something with the Namespace "val" ?

  • How to simulate a dial-up connection for testing purposes?

    - by mawg
I have to code a server app where clients open a TCP/IP socket, send some data and close the connection. The data packets are small < 100 bytes, however there is talk of having them batch their transactions and send multiple packets. How can I best simulate a dial-up ut connection (using Delphy & Indy components, just FYI)? Is it as simple as open connection wait a while (what is the definition of "a while"?) close connection

  • Using WAMP's MySQL with Cygwin Ruby on Rails

    - by Andrei
I'm trying to install a Rails app on a Cygwin Rails + WAMP MySQL setup, but rake trows an error : Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (2) Of course, it's trying to connect to MySQL trought a Cygwin socket, and since there's no MySQL server running on Cygwin, it fails. How do I get Rails to connect to WAMP's MySQL (perhaps through TCP/IP instead of a socket) ?

  • closing MQ connection

    - by OakvilleWork
Good afternoon, I wrote a project to Get Park Queue Info from the IBM MQ, it has producing an error when attempting to close the connection though. It is written in java. Under application in Event Viewer on the MQ machine it displays two errors. They are: “Channel program ended abnormally. Channel program ‘system.def.surconn’ ended abnormally. Look at previous error messages for channel program ‘system.def.surconn’ in the error files to determine the cause of the failure. The other message states: “Error on receive from host rnanaj (10.10.12.34) An error occurred receiving data from rnanaj (10.10.12.34) over tcp/ip. This may be due to a communications failure. The return code from tcp/ip recv() call was 10054 (X’2746’). Record these values.” This must be something how I try to connect or close the connection, below I have my code to connect and close, any ideas??
