  • C# Extend array type to overload operators

    - by Episodex
I'd like to create my own class extending array of ints. Is that possible? What I need is array of ints that can be added by "+" operator to another array (each element added to each), and compared by "==", so it could (hopefully) be used as a key in dictionary. The thing is I don't want to implement whole IList interface to my new class, but only add those two operators to existing array class. I'm trying to do something like this: class MyArray : Array<int> But it's not working that way obviously ;). Sorry if I'm unclear but I'm searching solution for hours now... UPDATE: I tried something like this: class Zmienne : IEquatable<Zmienne> { public int[] x; public Zmienne(int ilosc) { x = new int[ilosc]; } public override bool Equals(object obj) { if (obj == null || GetType() != obj.GetType()) { return false; } return base.Equals((Zmienne)obj); } public bool Equals(Zmienne drugie) { if (x.Length != drugie.x.Length) return false; else { for (int i = 0; i < x.Length; i++) { if (x[i] != drugie.x[i]) return false; } } return true; } public override int GetHashCode() { int hash = x[0].GetHashCode(); for (int i = 1; i < x.Length; i++) hash = hash ^ x[i].GetHashCode(); return hash; } } Then use it like this: Zmienne tab1 = new Zmienne(2); Zmienne tab2 = new Zmienne(2); tab1.x[0] = 1; tab1.x[1] = 1; tab2.x[0] = 1; tab2.x[1] = 1; if (tab1 == tab2) Console.WriteLine("Works!"); And no effect. I'm not good with interfaces and overriding methods unfortunately :(. As for reason I'm trying to do it. I have some equations like: x1 + x2 = 0.45 x1 + x4 = 0.2 x2 + x4 = 0.11 There are a lot more of them, and I need to for example add first equation to second and search all others to find out if there is any that matches the combination of x'es resulting in that adding. Maybe I'm going in totally wrong direction?

  • Getting Data For Webpages?

    - by fuzzygoat
When looking to get data from a web page whats the recommended method if the page does not provide a structured data feed? Am I right in thinking that its just a case of doing an NSURLRequest and then hacking what you need out of the responseData(NSData*)? I am not too concerned about the implementation in Xcode, I am more curious about actually collecting the data, before I start coding a "hunt & peck" through a list of data. gary

  • Use jQuery Fancybox(lightbox type dialog) with dynamically loaded links

    - by Pjack
I'm trying to bind Fancy box links so that when the new links are created it will still work. I've seen a few other question on here but not really answered. This is what I'm trying to do. jQuery("a#[id^='domore_']").fancybox({ 'autoDimensions' : false, 'width' : 'auto', 'height' : 'auto' }); This works fine but when the page or links are reloaded by ajax it doesn't work. I tried using live() but I couldn't get it to work. How do you rebind or implement live on fancybox? Any way to do this? Thanks

  • Assigning a selector via SEL type?

    - by fuzzygoat
I just spotted the following in an online tutorial. It showed 001 as a method for assigning a selector, however I could not get this to work. Am I right in thinking that 001 is not right and 002 is the correct way, or am I doing something wrong with 001? // 001 SEL mySel = [self something]; // 002 SEL mySel = @selector(something); . -(void)something { NSLog(@"YAY"); } Gary

  • Type casting in TPC inheritance

    - by Mohsen Esmailpour
I have several products like HotelProduct, FlightProduct ... which derived from BaseProduct class. The table of these products will be generated in TPC manner in database. There is OrderLine class which has a BaseProduct. My problem is when i select an OrderLine with related product i don't know how cast BaseProduct to derived product. for example i have this query: var order = (from odr in _context.Orders join orderLine in _context.OrderLines on odr.Id equals orderLine.OrderId join hotel in _context.Products.OfType<HotelProduct>() on orderLine.ProductId equals hotel.Id where odr.UserId == userId && odr.Id == orderId orderby odr.OrderDate descending select odr).SingleOrDefault(); In OrderLine i have BaseProduct properties not properties of HotelProduct. Is there any way to cast BaseProduct to derived class in OrderLine or any other solutions ?

  • How to attach multiple files to a Wordpress post?

    - by erik.brannstrom
I'm currently working on a project where we are using Wordpress 3.0 RC. The idea is to create custom post types with meta boxes to make the system easier to use for the client. Some of these posts need to have multiple files attached to them, and by attached I do not mean inserted to post but rather we'd like to keep them separate from the post body (in fact, a given post type might not even have text, only files). I'm wondering if there is a standard approach for allowing multiple files to be attached to a Wordpress post? I've managed to add a meta box that allows one file from the media library to be selected, but I have no idea how to extend this to allow an arbitrary number of files. Hope someone can help!

  • Get instance of type inheriting from base class, implementing interface, using StructureMap

    - by Ben
Continuing on my quest for a good plugin implementation I have been testing the StructureMap assembly scanning features. All plugins will inherit from abstract class PluginBase. This will provide access to common application services such as logging. Depending on it's function, each plugin may then implement additional interfaces, for example, IStartUpTask. I am initializing my plugins like so: Scan(x => { x.AssembliesFromPath(HttpContext.Current.Server.MapPath("~/Plugins"), assembly => assembly.GetName().Name.Contains("Extension")); x.AddAllTypesOf<PluginBase>(); }); The difficulty I am then having is how to work against the interface (not the PluginBase) in code. It's easy enough to work with PluginBase: var plugins = ObjectFactory.GetAllInstances<PluginBase>(); foreach (var plugin in plugins) { } But specific functionality (e.g. IStartUpTask.RunTask) is tied to the interface, not the base class. I appreciate this may not be specific to structuremap (perhaps more a question of reflection). Thanks, Ben

  • Cannot implicity convert type void to System.Threading.Tasks.Task<bool>

    - by sagesky36
I have a WCF Service that contains the following method. All the methods in the service are asynchrounous and compile just fine. public async Task<Boolean> ValidateRegistrationAsync(String strUserName) { try { using (YeagerTechEntities DbContext = new YeagerTechEntities()) { DbContext.Configuration.ProxyCreationEnabled = false; DbContext.Database.Connection.Open(); var reg = await DbContext.aspnet_Users.FirstOrDefaultAsync(f => f.UserName == strUserName); if (reg != null) return true; else return false; } } catch (Exception) { throw; } } My client application was set to access the WCF service with the check box for the "Allow generation of asynchronous operations" and it generated the proxy just fine. I am receiving the above subject error when trying to call this WCF service method from my client with the following code. Mind you, I know what the error message means, but this is my first time trying to call an asynchronous task in a WCF service from a client. Task<Boolean> blnMbrShip = db.ValidateRegistrationAsync(FormsAuthentication.Decrypt(cn.Value).Name); What do I need to do to properly call the method so the design time compile error disappears? Thanks so much in advance...

  • 284 GiB of data, 217.4 GiB of space

    - by Malfist
I want to reinstall my OS, but I don't have the hard drive space to backup any more (I have a RAID 1 array, so I haven't done it for a while). In my /home I have 284.8 GiB of data, and I have a spare 250 GB (or 217.4 GiB) hard drive that I've been using for backup. What type of compression algorithm (if any) is capable of this type of compression? I don't care about the time, I have a quad core though, so something that utilizes all 4 cores would be great. I have tried 7zip with no success. Ran on one core for two days and failed because of lack of space. Any ideas?

  • Difference between KeywordQuery, FullTextQuerySearch type for Object Model and Web service Query

    - by Raghu
Initially I believed these 3 to be doing more or less the same thing with just the notation being different. Until recently, when i noticed that their does exists a big difference between the results of the KeyWordQuery/FullTextQuerySearch and Web service Query. I used both KeywordQuery and FullText method to search of the the value of a customColumn XYZ with value (ASDSADA-21312ASD-ASDASD):- When I run this query as:- FullTextSqlQuery:- FullTextSqlQuery myQuery = new FullTextSqlQuery(site); { // Construct query text String queryText = "Select title, path, author, isdocument from scope() where freetext('ASDSADA-21312ASD-ASDASD') "; myQuery.QueryText = queryText; myQuery.ResultTypes = ResultType.RelevantResults; }; // execute the query and load the results into a datatable ResultTableCollection queryResults = myQuery.Execute(); ResultTable resultTable = queryResults[ResultType.RelevantResults]; // Load table with results DataTable queryDataTable = new DataTable(); queryDataTable.Load(resultTable, LoadOption.OverwriteChanges); I get the following result representing the document. * Title: TestPDF * path: http://SharepointServer/Shared Documents/Forms/DispForm.aspx?ID=94 * author: null * isDocument: false Do note the Path and isDocument fields of the above result. Web Service Method Then I tried a Web Service Query method. I used Sharepoint Search Service Tool available at http://sharepointsearchserv.codeplex.com/ and ran the same query i.e. Select title, path, author, isdocument from scope() where freetext('ASDSADA-21312ASD-ASDASD'). This time I got the following results:- * Title: TestPDF * path: http://SharepointServer/Shared Documents/TestPDF.pdf * author: null * isDocument: true Again note the path. While the search results from 2nd method are useful as they provide me the file path exactly, I can't seem to understand why is the method 1 not giving me the same results? Why is there a discrepancy between the two results?

I'm trying to create a Export method of a VCF file to our CRM application. I'm running the new VS 2010 but target the project as .NET 3.5 what is the technique to hook up into this context menu? I'm very new to AddIns but as a logical line of thought is to create an Outlook AddIn, but I'm failing miserably to add a menu item to this context menu :( Thank you for any help on this

  • Decrypting and reading a FileVault sparsebundle in Linux?

    - by Eemeli Kantola
Hi, My MacBook's HD started failing recently. Fortunately most of the data was properly backed up and most of the other important data could be retrieved by hooking up the drive with the help of an external USB enclosure, but the problem is that my home directory has been encrypted with FileVault and I currently don't have easy access to a Mac. So can the FileVault sparsebundle be somehow decrypted and read with Linux?

What is this strange precision based on ? My CPU is Intel Core 2 Duo T7100

  • Passing NSArray Pointer Rather Than A Pointer To a Specific Type

    - by mattmccomb
I've just written a piece of code to display a UIActionSheet within my app. Whilst looking at the code to initialise my UIActionSheet something struck me as a little strange. The initialisation function has the following signature... initWithTitle:(NSString *)title delegate:(id UIActionSheetDelegate)delegate cancelButtonTitle:(NSString *)cancelButtonTitle destructiveButtonTitle:(NSString *)destructiveButtonTitle otherButtonTitles:(NSString *)otherButtonTitles As you can see the otherButtonTitles parameter is a pointer to a String. In my code I set it as follows... otherButtonTitles: @"Title", @"Date", nil Although this compiles fine I don't really understand how it works. My reading of the statement is that I have created an inline array containing two elements (Title and Date). How come this then compiles? I'm passing a NSArray* in place of a NSString*. I know from a little of understanding of C++ that an array is really a pointer to the first element. So is this inline array that I'm creating a C array as opposed to a NSArray? What I'm hoping to achieve is to be able to pass a static NSArray* used elsewhere in my class to the otherButtonTitles parameter. But passing the NSArray* object directly doesn't work.

  • European alternatives to Dropbox?

    - by torbengb
Dropbox is positively brilliant, but the data center is probably in the US somewhere. Since I'm in Europe, there's plenty of lag and a poor upload rate. Are there any similar services using data centers in Europe? I'm looking for a free plan (cirka 2GB), so sites like Amazon S3 aren't good answers.

  • C# 'is' type check on struct - odd .NET 4.0 x86 optimization behavior

    - by Jacob Stanley
    Since upgrading to VS2010 I'm getting some very strange behavior with the 'is' keyword. The program below (test.cs) outputs True when compiled in debug mode (for x86) and False when compiled with optimizations on (for x86). Compiling all combinations in x64 or AnyCPU gives the expected result, True. All combinations of compiling under .NET 3.5 give the expected result, True. I'm using the batch file below (runtest.bat) to compile and test the code using various combinations of compiler .NET framework. Has anyone else seen these kind of problems under .NET 4.0? Does everyone else see the same behavior as me on their computer when running runtests.bat? #@$@#$?? Is there a fix for this? test.cs using System; public class Program { public static bool IsGuid(object item) { return item is Guid; } public static void Main() { Console.Write(IsGuid(Guid.NewGuid())); } } runtest.bat @echo off rem Usage: rem runtest -- runs with csc.exe x86 .NET 4.0 rem runtest 64 -- runs with csc.exe x64 .NET 4.0 rem runtest v3.5 -- runs with csc.exe x86 .NET 3.5 rem runtest v3.5 64 -- runs with csc.exe x64 .NET 3.5 set version=v4.0.30319 set platform=Framework for %%a in (%*) do ( if "%%a" == "64" (set platform=Framework64) if "%%a" == "v3.5" (set version=v3.5) ) echo Compiler: %platform%\%version%\csc.exe set csc="C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\%platform%\%version%\csc.exe" set make=%csc% /nologo /nowarn:1607 test.cs rem CS1607: Referenced assembly targets a different processor rem This happens if you compile for x64 using csc32, or x86 using csc64 %make% /platform:x86 test.exe echo =^> x86 %make% /platform:x86 /optimize test.exe echo =^> x86 (Optimized) %make% /platform:x86 /debug test.exe echo =^> x86 (Debug) %make% /platform:x86 /debug /optimize test.exe echo =^> x86 (Debug + Optimized) %make% /platform:x64 test.exe echo =^> x64 %make% /platform:x64 /optimize test.exe echo =^> x64 (Optimized) %make% /platform:x64 /debug test.exe echo =^> x64 (Debug) %make% /platform:x64 /debug /optimize test.exe echo =^> x64 (Debug + Optimized) %make% /platform:AnyCPU test.exe echo =^> AnyCPU %make% /platform:AnyCPU /optimize test.exe echo =^> AnyCPU (Optimized) %make% /platform:AnyCPU /debug test.exe echo =^> AnyCPU (Debug) %make% /platform:AnyCPU /debug /optimize test.exe echo =^> AnyCPU (Debug + Optimized) Test Results When running the runtest.bat I get the following results on my Win7 x64 install. > runtest 32 v4.0 Compiler: Framework\v4.0.30319\csc.exe False => x86 False => x86 (Optimized) True => x86 (Debug) False => x86 (Debug + Optimized) True => x64 True => x64 (Optimized) True => x64 (Debug) True => x64 (Debug + Optimized) True => AnyCPU True => AnyCPU (Optimized) True => AnyCPU (Debug) True => AnyCPU (Debug + Optimized) > runtest 64 v4.0 Compiler: Framework64\v4.0.30319\csc.exe False => x86 False => x86 (Optimized) True => x86 (Debug) False => x86 (Debug + Optimized) True => x64 True => x64 (Optimized) True => x64 (Debug) True => x64 (Debug + Optimized) True => AnyCPU True => AnyCPU (Optimized) True => AnyCPU (Debug) True => AnyCPU (Debug + Optimized) > runtest 32 v3.5 Compiler: Framework\v3.5\csc.exe True => x86 True => x86 (Optimized) True => x86 (Debug) True => x86 (Debug + Optimized) True => x64 True => x64 (Optimized) True => x64 (Debug) True => x64 (Debug + Optimized) True => AnyCPU True => AnyCPU (Optimized) True => AnyCPU (Debug) True => AnyCPU (Debug + Optimized) > runtest 64 v3.5 Compiler: Framework64\v3.5\csc.exe True => x86 True => x86 (Optimized) True => x86 (Debug) True => x86 (Debug + Optimized) True => x64 True => x64 (Optimized) True => x64 (Debug) True => x64 (Debug + Optimized) True => AnyCPU True => AnyCPU (Optimized) True => AnyCPU (Debug) True => AnyCPU (Debug + Optimized) tl;dr
