    For my blog I am wanting to use the Output Cache to save a cached version of a perticular post for around 10 minutes, and thats fine... <%@OutputCache Duration="600" VaryByParam="*" %> However, if someone posts a comment, I want to clear the cache so that the page is refreshed and the comment can be seen. How can we specify the "Text" (key of dictionary as Text of drop down) and "value" (value as Value) for the dropdown? Could you please help?     The MSDN documentation for using an asynchronous controller mentions choosing an asynchronous controller when you want to provide a way for users to cancel requests. I couldn't find any documentation related to actually allowing users to cancel asynchronous requests, however. Is there a way to indicate to ASP.Net and/or the MVC framework that a request should be canceled?

  • Asp.net web service: Problems accessing without www

    I have a Asp.net web service running on www.domain.com/Service.svc that I connect to using jQuery from my asp.net website. Everything works perfect if the user access my website with www.domain.com. But if the user uses only domain.com I get error: There was no channel actively listening at 'http://domain.com/Service.svc/get?date=2010-10-09'. This is often caused by an incorrect address URI. Ensure that the address to which the message is sent matches an address on which a service is listening. In my web.config I use the serviceHostingEnvironment tag to get the service running on my webhost (it doesn't work otherwise). Maybe this is what causes the error? A Website project does not have a .csproj file (not to be mixed up with Web Application which does). In the case of a Website project, can I create a makefile equivalent, or does it use a build process/instructions stored elsewhere in the system or app?

  • .NET ComboBox Autocomplete failing on slashes

    The .NET ComboBox autocomplete will not fully autocomplete with the display text contains a slash. It completes only up to the slash, leaving SelectedIndex == -1 and SelectedValue == null. This behavior stupidly persists no matter whether your autocompletesource is set to ListItems rather than FileSystem or URL. Is there any workaround for this that doesn't involve just throwing the ComboBox class away and writing a "MyComboBox" class?

    Hi, I'm trying to accomplish something like this (http://picturegroup.com) , where you have images displayed in several columns, but as you resize your browser, columns will (dis)appear so to fit what you can see on the screen.
