    I am using jalava library as a diagram drawing tool. It displays firgures as images in order to maintain compatibility with majority of browsers. When diagram block is being resized a request is being made and new gif image is generated and send to browser. What I need is generating image of basic blocks, like rounded rectangle, circle, diamond with specified parameters (height, width and color). I want to do all server-side; my server part is written on Perl.

  • Does a lazy-programmer "document template" with tags exist for Windows?

    I was wondering (if possible) if there was a program/tool/utility that when I create a new file and provide it with an extension that it creates the tags automatically? For example, a new file I create called index.php would have the appropriate tags auto-generated inside: <?php ?> I hope you get the idea. Does one, or could one, exist, preferably Windows based? Any information regarding this would be helpful.

  • iptables logging not working?

    OS: Ubuntu 10.04 Logging daemon: rsyslog For some reason i'm not getting any iptables logs, even thought i don't look through them very often i'd still like to get it working for the sake of it working XD Here is my /etc/ryslog.d/iptables.conf :msg, contains, "[IPTABLES]" -/var/log/iptables.log & ~ My iptables logging prefix is "[IPTABLES]" followed by whatever else (example [IPTABLES] Denied xyz) the /var/log/iptables.log file is being created, however its not getting any entries. I can see the logging entries in dmesg but not in syslog or messages. Whats going on?   • Converting PDF to PCL5 on Windows?

    In my application, I need to convert PDF docs to PCL5 generic files to send to FTP PCL capable printers. Printing to file would be a last resort, I would prefer a small-footprint command line tool or API that will do the job.   • Is NAnt in the dead pool?

    I know NAnt sees frequent use (well, I always use it for my CI builds) but there has been no new official release since December 2007. Is the project receiving active development any more or is it dead-pooled? It worries me that if I carry on using it, and it stops tracking the latest version of .NET, I'll eventually be left with a massive job when it comes to upgrading systems to a version of the framework that it can't build. Has everyone else gone over to some other tool like MSBuild these days?

  • Generic Open Source REST Client?

    I want a simple client that takes a few parameters (Method, URL, Parameters), makes an HTTP request, and shows me the results that were returned. A browser obviously can easily send GET and POST requests, but I have no good ideas on DELETE and UPDATE. Did I miss something in browser 101, or is there a common freeware tool to do this? I've seen other threads that give me Java APIs for a simple client, but that's not what I'm looking for.

    Can anyone recommend decent software that could replace a physical whiteboard, as used in Agile development? I've had a look at http://www.brightgreenprojects.com/ but ideally we'd like something we could host ourselves. We use Jira for issue tracking, and are looking at integrating GreenHopper for project management at the moment. The general feeling among users so far seems to be that GreenHopper is a little clunky. Is there a more straight-forward agile whiteboard software tool out there?

I don't want the "pasted-to" application to perform any actions on the clipboard (e.g. formatting text, converting).
