    After installing using stsadmin, and activating using site UI "Site Collection Feature" these columns shows up but no title is showing for them. So no link is attached. It looks like this.   • Are there any TFS 2010 Dashboards that support multi-project queries?

    Does anyone know of a TFS 2010 Dashboard that is able to utilize multi-project queries? Our group has several distinct projects that must be managed at the same time. TFS itself supports this. Simply by excluding the Project = @Project (or whatever) we can get back the results we're looking for. Our issue is that we would like to find a nice dashboard (like Telerik Work Item Manager) that also supports this.

    Hi, I'm writing a sharepoint web part. It writes logs into a file (by using StreamWriter). However, logs are written only for users whose accounts are administrators on the server hosting the web part. I want to detect which account (probably not by using SPUser) is executing web part's code, so that I can have logs generated for less privileged users. Is that possible? Thanks

  • Inheriting list item permissions via permissions on lookup field item

    Say you have two lists in Sharepoint, let's call them "house" and "region". Each house is assigned to a region via a lookup field. List item permissions are set on regions. Now I want the users only to only see the houses which belong to the regions they have read access to. I reckon it should be relatively simple I see no easy way of doing this. Am I over looking something.

    Hi, When I make a document library in Sharepoint 2003 and select the document template type etc and come back to edit/administer the document library, how can I find out what document template type I selected at the time of creation? Another way of putting it: If an administrator makes a document library and selects a document template type and he/she leaves without documenting his/her settings for the document library, how could I find out what document template type he selected?     Am I doing something wrong here? I have a text area on a view and am posting back the html contents. In VS 2008 and MVC 1.0 the following code successfully prevents input validation: [HttpPost] [ValidateInput(false)] public ActionResult Index(int? id) { return View(); } If I execute this code in VS 2010 / MVC 2.0 I always get this error: A potentially dangerous Request.Form value was detected from the client (body=""). Any ideas?

    I wonder how can I enable the nullptr in the just released Visual Studio 2010. (C++ project, not managed). This is one of the new features but it is not available by default and looking inside the documentation at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/4ex65770(VS.100).aspx it seams that it is enabled by /clr but this is managed! Is this a feature added only for .NET?

    Whatever changes made on the UserInformtion in AD, it is not getting updated in users Mysite. Farm Information: SharePoint 2007 + SP2 + Dec-09 CU. Issue: AD-Team changes the user email-id. changes are getting updated in SSP. changes are not getting populated from SSP to Mysite/Site-collections. any thoughts?

  • Which process retrieves the silverlight xap file?

    We're using silverlight on our SharePoint site. When someone navigates to the page containing the silverlight object, they are prompted for credentials. Other pages work fine. I'm wondering if the client is trying to retrive the xap file (which is in a location the process hosting the web application has access to, but not the user). Is the xap file retrievd by the IIS process or the client?

    On the WrkStat.aspx page I would like to add emphasis to the status of each approval stage. e.g. I want to show "Approved" in green and "Rejected" text in red. I tried editing the page in SharePoint Designer but it gives an error about application.master. Does anyone know how to add color to this wrkstat.aspx page or any custom workflow status page?

    After full fresh Windows XP system reinstallation, I've installed SQL Server 2008 R2 and Visual Studio 2010. Soon I've found that I also have some very handicapped version of VS 2008 IDE installed as a part of VS2010 or SQLServer. At the same time there are a lot of interesting projects on the Web still targeting VS2008. Can I install a full-featured VS 2008 now, without it breaking something (for example by replacing some files with older versions)?
