  • sphinx xmlpipe2 cassandra and ruby 1.9

    - by user369083
    Hi, I start to using cassandra and I want to index my db with sphinx. I wrote ruby script which is used as xmlpipe, and I configure sphinx to use it. source xmlsrc { type = xmlpipe2 xmlpipe_command = /usr/local/bin/ruby /home/httpd/html/app/script/sphinxpipe.rb } When I run script from console output looks fine, but when I run indexer sphinx return error $ indexer test_index Sphinx 0.9.9-release (r2117) Copyright (c) 2001-2009, Andrew Aksyonoff using config file '/usr/local/etc/sphinx.conf'... indexing index 'test_index'... • NSURLErrorBadURL error

    - by Victor jiang
    My iphone app called Google Local Search(non javascript version) to behave some search business. Below is my code to form a url: NSString *url = [NSString stringWithFormat:@"http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/services/search/local?v=1.0&q=%@", keyword]; NSMutableURLRequest *request = [[[NSMutableURLRequest alloc] init] autorelease]; [request setURL:[NSURL URLWithString:url]]; [request setHTTPMethod:@"GET"]; //get response NSHTTPURLResponse* urlResponse = nil; NSError *error = [[[NSError alloc] init] autorelease]; NSData *responseData = [NSURLConnection sendSynchronousRequest:request returningResponse:&urlResponse error:&error]; NSString *result = [[NSString alloc] initWithData:responseData encoding:NSUTF8StringEncoding]; When the keyword refers to english characters, it works fine, but when refers to chinese characters(encoded in UTF8, such as '???' whose UTF8 code is 'e5a4a9 e5ae89 e997a8'), it will report NSURLErrorBadURL error(-1000, Returned when a URL is sufficiently malformed that a URL request cannot be initiated). Why? Then I carry out further investigation, I use Safari and type in the url below: http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/services/search/local?v=1.0&q=??? It also works, and the output I got from Macsniffer is: /ajax/services/search/local?v=1.0&q=%E5%A4%A9%E5%AE%89%E9%97%A8 So I write a testing url directly in my app NSString *url = [NSString stringWithFormat:@"http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/services/search/local?v=1.0&q=%E5%A4%A9%E5%AE%89%E9%97%A8"]; And what I got from the Macsniffer is some other thing: /ajax/services/search/local?v=1.0&q=1.687891E-28750X1.417C0001416CP-102640X1.4CC2D04648FBP-9999-1.989891E+0050X1.20DC00184CC67P-953E8E99A8 It seems my keyword "%E5%A4%A9%E5%AE%89%E9%97%A8" was translated into something else. So how can I form a valid url? I do need help!

  • What is the worst programming language you ever worked with? [closed]

    - by Ludwig Weinzierl
    If you have an interesting story to share, please post an answer, but do not abuse this question for bashing a language. We are programmers, and our primary tool is the programming language we use. While there is a lot of discussion about the best one, I'd like to hear your stories about the worst programming languages you ever worked with and I'd like to know exactly what annoyed you. I'd like to collect this stories partly to avoid common pitfalls while designing a language (especially a DSL) and partly to avoid quirky languages in the future in general. This question is not subjective. If a language supports only single character identifiers (see my own answer) this is bad in a non-debatable way. EDIT Some people have raised concerns that this question attracts trolls. Wading through all your answers made one thing clear. The large majority of answers is appropriate, useful and well written. UPDATE 2009-07-01 19:15 GMT The language overview is now complete, covering 103 different languages from 102 answers. I decided to be lax about what counts as a programming language and included anything reasonable. Thank you David for your comments on this. Here are all programming languages covered so far (alphabetical order, linked with answer, new entries in bold): ABAP, all 20th century languages, all drag and drop languages, all proprietary languages, APF, APL (1), AS400, Authorware, Autohotkey, BancaStar, BASIC, Bourne Shell, Brainfuck, C++, Centura Team Developer, Cobol (1), Cold Fusion, Coldfusion, CRM114, Crystal Syntax, CSS, Dataflex 2.3, DB/c DX, dbase II, DCL, Delphi IDE, Doors DXL, DOS batch (1), Excel Macro language, FileMaker, FOCUS, Forth, FORTRAN, FORTRAN 77, HTML, Illustra web blade, Informix 4th Generation Language, Informix Universal Server web blade, INTERCAL, Java, JavaScript (1), JCL (1), karol, LabTalk, Labview, Lingo, LISP, Logo, LOLCODE, LotusScript, m4, Magic II, Makefiles, MapBasic, MaxScript, Meditech Magic, MEL, mIRC Script, MS Access, MUMPS, Oberon, object extensions to C, Objective-C, OPS5, Oz, Perl (1), PHP, PL/SQL, PowerDynamo, PROGRESS 4GL, prova, PS-FOCUS, Python, Regular Expressions, RPG, RPG II, Scheme, ScriptMaker, sendmail.conf, Smalltalk, Smalltalk , SNOBOL, SpeedScript, Sybase PowerBuilder, Symbian C++, System RPL, TCL, TECO, The Visual Software Environment, Tiny praat, TransCAD, troff, uBasic, VB6 (1), VBScript (1), VDF4, Vimscript, Visual Basic (1), Visual C++, Visual Foxpro, VSE, Webspeed, XSLT The answers covering 80386 assembler, VB6 and VBScript have been removed.

  • iPhone UITableView populateing from connectionDidFinishLoading

    - by fourfour
    Hey all. I have been trying for hours to figure this out. I have some JSON from a NSURLConnection. This is working fine and I have parsed it into an array. But I can't seem to get the array out of the connectionDidFinishLoading method. I an am getting (null) in the UITableViewCell method. I am assuming this is a scope of retain issue, but I am so new to ObjC I am not sure what to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers. -(void)connectionDidFinishLoading:(NSURLConnection *)connection { [connection release]; NSString *responseString = [[NSString alloc] initWithData:responseData encoding:NSUTF8StringEncoding]; [responseData release]; SBJSON *json = [[SBJSON alloc] init]; NSDictionary *results = [json objectWithString:responseString]; self.dataArray = [results objectForKey:@"data"]; NSMutableArray *tableArray = [[NSMutableArray alloc] initWithObjects:nil]; for (NSString *element in dataArray) { //NSLog(@"%@", [element objectForKey:@"name"]); NSString *tmpString = [[NSString alloc] initWithString:[element objectForKey:@"name"]]; [tableArray addObject:tmpString]; } } - (UITableViewCell *)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath { static NSString *CellIdentifier = @"Cell"; UITableViewCell *cell = [tableView dequeueReusableCellWithIdentifier:CellIdentifier]; if (cell == nil) { cell = [[[UITableViewCell alloc] initWithStyle:UITableViewCellStyleDefault reuseIdentifier:CellIdentifier] autorelease]; } // Configure the cell. //cell.textLabel.text = [self.tableView objectAtIndex:indexPath.row]; cell.textLabel.text = [self.tableArray objectAtIndex:indexPath.row]; NSLog(@"%@", tableArray); return cell; }

  • Two different assembly versions "The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assem

    - by snicker
    I have a project that I am working on that requires the use of the Mysql Connector for NHibernate, (Mysql.Data.dll). I also want to reference another project (Migrator.NET) in the same project. The problem is even though Migrator.NET is built with the reference to MySql.Data with specific version = false, it still tries to reference the older version of MySql.Data that the library was built with instead of just using the version that is there.. and I get the exception listed in the title: ---- System.IO.FileLoadException : Could not load file or assembly 'MySql.Data, Version=1.0.10.1, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=c5687fc88969c44d' or one of its dependencies. The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131040) The version I am referencing in the main assembly is 6.1.3.0. How do I get the two assemblies to cooperate? Edit: For those of you specifying Assembly Binding Redirection, I have set this up: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?> <configuration> <runtime> <assemblyBinding xmlns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:asm.v1"> <dependentAssembly> <assemblyIdentity name="MySql.Data" publicKeyToken="c5687fc88969c44d" culture="neutral"/> <bindingRedirect oldVersion="0.0.0.0-6.1.3.0" newVersion="6.1.3.0"/> </dependentAssembly> </assemblyBinding> </runtime> </configuration> I am referencing this the main assembly in another project and still getting the same errors. If my main assembly is copied local to be used in the other assembly, will it use the settings in app.config or does this information have to be included with every application or assembly that references my main assembly?

    - by ?????
    I have a groovy/grails application that needs to serve images It works fine on my dev box, the image is returned properly. Here's the start of the returned JPEG, as seen by od -cx 0000000 377 330 377 340 \0 020 J F I F \0 001 001 001 001 , d8ff e0ff 1000 464a 4649 0100 0101 2c01 but on the production box, there's some garbage in front, and the d8ff e0ff before the 1000 is missing 0000000 ? ** ** ? ** ** ? ** ** ? ** ** \0 020 J F bfef efbd bdbf bfef efbd bdbf 1000 464a 0000020 I F \0 001 001 001 \0 H \0 H \0 \0 ? ** ** ? 4649 0100 0101 4800 4800 0000 bfef efbd It's the exact same code. I just moved the .war over and run it on a different machine. (Isn't Java supposed to be write once, run everywhere?) Any ideas? An "encoding" problem? The code is sent to the response like this: response.contentType = "image/jpeg"; response.outputStream << out;

  • Django: Unicode Filenames with ASCII headers?

    - by TheLizardKing
    I have a list of strangely encoded files: 02 - Charlie, Woody and You/Study #22.mp3 which I suppose isn't so bad but there are a few particular characters which Django OR nginx seem to be snagging on. >>> test = u'02 - Charlie, Woody and You/Study #22.mp3' >>> test u'02 - Charlie, Woody and You\uff0fStudy #22.mp3' I am using nginx as a reverse proxy to connect to django's built in webserver (still in development stages) and postgresql for my database. My database and tables are all en_US.UTF-8 and I am using pgadmin3 to view my tables outside of django. My issue goes a little beyond my title, firstly how should I be saving possibly whacky filenames in my database? My current method is 'path': smart_unicode(path.lstrip(MUSIC_PATH)), 'filename': smart_unicode(file) and when I pprint out the values they do show u'whateverthecrap' I am not sure if that is how I should be doing it but assuming it is now I have issues trying to spit out the download. My download view looks something like this: def song_download(request, song_id): song = get_object_or_404(Song, pk=song_id) url = u'/static_music/%s/%s' % (song.path, song.filename) print url response = HttpResponse() response['X-Accel-Redirect'] = url response['Content-Type'] = 'audio/mpeg' response['Content-Disposition'] = "attachment; filename=test.mp3" return response and most files will download but when I get to 02 - Charlie, Woody and You/Study #22.mp3 I receive this from django: 'ascii' codec can't encode character u'\uff0f' in position 118: ordinal not in range(128), HTTP response headers must be in US-ASCII format. How can I use an ASCII acceptable string if my filename is out of bounds? 02 - Charlie, Woody and You\uff0fStudy #22.mp3 doesn't seem to work... EDIT 1 I am using Ubuntu for my OS.

  • Problem with TextViews running into each other in RelativeLayout

    - by Janusz
    I have a problem with two Textviews on the same height in a RelativeLayout running into each other. I use the following Layout. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <RelativeLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent"> <ImageView android:id="@+id/logo" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:adjustViewBounds="true" android:scaleType="centerInside" android:src="@drawable/icon" /> <TextView android:id="@+id/name" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:text="NameNameNameNameNameNameName" android:layout_alignParentTop="true" android:layout_toRightOf="@id/logo" android:gravity="clip_horizontal" android:lines="1" /> <TextView android:id="@+id/information" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:text="information" android:layout_alignParentRight="true" android:layout_alignParentTop="true" /> <TextView android:id="@+id/nrcoupons" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:text="Number" android:layout_alignRight="@id/information" android:layout_alignBottom="@id/logo" /> <TextView android:id="@+id/subcategory" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:text="Subcategory" android:layout_alignLeft="@id/name" android:layout_alignBottom="@id/logo" /> </RelativeLayout> This gives me this view: Everything is as I need it except the two textviews name and information are displayed on the same screen space with the one on top of the other. How can I avoid this?

  • XML Catalog file failing to resolve

    - by newt
    I'm using an OASIS v 1.1 compatible resolver (Norm Walsh's XMLResolver in conjunction with the catalog below. However, I'm pretty sure I've made some sort of obvious error here (this is the first time I've needed to use v 1.1 features) since attempting to resolve OxChapML.dtd fails. Can anyone see something obviously wrong with this? Or even subtly wrong? <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE catalog PUBLIC "-//OASIS//DTD XML Catalogs V1.1//EN" "http://www.oasis-open.org/committees/entity/release/1.1/catalog.dtd"> <catalog xmlns="urn:oasis:names:tc:entity:xmlns:xml:catalog"> <group xml:base="file:///Volumes/Ac-EDP/DTG/SP%20DTD%20management/OUP_DTD/"> <public publicId="-//OXFORD//DTD OXCHAPML//EN" uri="OxChapML.dtd"/> <public publicId="-//OXFORD//DTD OXENCYCLML//EN" uri="xEncyclML.dtd"/> <public publicId="-//OXFORD//DTD OXLAWML//EN" uri="OxLawML.dtd"/> <public publicId="-//OXFORD//DTD OXSTRUCTML//EN" uri="OxStructML.dtd"/> <public publicId="-//OXFORD//DTD OXLAWREPML//EN" uri="OxLawRepML.dtd"/> <public publicId="-//OXFORD//DTD OXBILINGML//EN" uri="OxBilingML.dtd"/> <public publicId="-//OXFORD//DTD OXMONOLINGML//EN" uri="OxMonolingML.dtd"/> <public publicId="-//OXFORD//DTD TIMELINES//EN" uri="timelines.dtd"/> <systemSuffix OxChapML.dtd" systemIdSuffix="OxChapML.dtd"/> <systemSuffix uri="xEncyclML.dtd" systemIdSuffix="xEncyclML.dtd"/> <systemSuffix systemIdSuffix="OxLawML.dtd" uri="OxLawML.dtd"/> <systemSuffix systemIdSuffix="OxStructML.dtd" uri="OxStructML.dtd"/> <systemSuffix systemIdSuffix="OxLawRepML.dtd" uri="OxLawRepML.dtd"/> <systemSuffix systemIdSuffix="OxBilingML.dtd" uri="OxBilingML.dtd"/> <systemSuffix systemIdSuffix="OxMonolingML.dtd" uri="OxMonolingML.dtd"/> <systemSuffix systemIdSuffix="timelines.dtd" uri="timelines.dtd"/> </group> </catalog>

  • MS Ajax FilteredTextBox stopped working

    - by TenaciousImpy
    Hi, I'm using Microsoft's AJAX library via their CDN. Everything was going fine in an old project. I then created a new project and copied and pasted some of the AJAX code hoping that it would work. However, my code isn't working and I've been struggling to figure out why. I'm trying to implement a filtered textbox: <script src="http://ajax.microsoft.com/ajax/jquery/jquery-1.4.2.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <script src="http://ajax.microsoft.com/ajax/beta/0911/Start.debug.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <script src="http://ajax.microsoft.com/ajax/beta/0911/extended/ExtendedControls.debug.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function() { Sys.require(Sys.components.filteredTextBox, function() { $("[id$='UserName']").filteredTextBox({ InvalidChars: ".", FilterType: Sys.Extended.UI.FilterTypes.Numbers | Sys.Extended.UI.FilterTypes.UppercaseLetters | Sys.Extended.UI.FilterTypes.LowercaseLetters | Sys.Extended.UI.FilterTypes.Custom, FilterMode: Sys.Extended.UI.FilterModes.ValidChars }); }); }); </script> When I run this, the textbox isn't filtered and I can enter any character. In Chrome, I used the Dev Tools and it found two errors on the page. In my .aspx page, I have: Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'Numbers' of undefined (regarding the Sys.Extended.UI.FilterTypes.Numbers in the code above). In filteredtextboxbehavior.debug.js, I have the error: Uncaught TypeError: Object #<an Object> has no method 'registerComponent' Any ideas why I'm getting this error? The code has been working previously so I'm not sure if I had added any extra settings in my old project which the new one doesn't have. Thanks! ps:The textbox can be found as any other actions on it are recognized.

  • MSMQ first Message.Body in queue is OK, all following Message.Body in queue are empty

    - by Andrew A
    I send a handful of identical (except for Id#, obviously) messages to an MSMQ queue on my local machine. The body of the messages is a serialized XElement object. When I try to process the first message in the queue, I am able to successfully de-serialize the Message.Body object and save it to file. However, when trying to process the next (or any subsequent) message, the Message.Body is absent, and an exception is thrown. I have verified the Message ID's are correct for the message attempting to be processed. The XML being serialized is properly formed. Any ideas? I am basing my code on the Microsoft MSMQ Book order sample found here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms180970%28VS.80%29.aspx // Create Envelope XML object XElement envelope = new XElement(env + "Envelope", new XAttribute(XNamespace.Xmlns + "env", env.NamespaceName) <snip> //Send envelope as message body MessageQueue myQueue = new MessageQueue(String.Format(@"FORMATNAME:DIRECT=OS:localhost\private$\mqsample")); myQueue.DefaultPropertiesToSend.Recoverable = true; // Prepare message Message myMessage = new Message(); myMessage.ResponseQueue = new MessageQueue(String.Format(System.Globalization.CultureInfo.InvariantCulture, @"FORMATNAME:DIRECT=TCP:192.168.1.217\private$\mqdemoAck")); myMessage.Body = envelope; // Send the message into the queue. myQueue.Send(myMessage,"message label"); //Retrieve messages from queue LabelIdMapping labelID = (LabelIdMapping)mqlistBox3.SelectedItem; System.Messaging.Message message = mqOrderQueue.ReceiveById(labelID.Id); The Message.Body value I see on the 1st retrieve is as expected: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <string>Some String</string> However, the 2nd and subsequent retrieve operations Message.Body is: "Cannot deserialize the message passed as an argument. Cannot recognize the serialization format." How does this work fine the first time but not after that? I have tried message.Dispose() after retrieving it but it did not help. Thank you very much for any help on this!

  • GWT UiBinder doesn't load the stylesheet

    - by halish
    I wanted to make a GWT widget using UiBinder. So I made: UserPanel.ui.xml like this: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <ui:UiBinder xmlns:ui='urn:ui:com.google.gwt.uibinder' xmlns:g='urn:import:com.google.gwt.user.client.ui'> <ui:with field="res" type="com.example.resources.UserPanelResources" /> <g:VerticalPanel styleNames='{res.userpanel.main}'> ...some other widgets go here... </g:VerticalPanel> </ui:UiBinder> UserPanel.css like this: .main { width: 1000px; background-color: #f9f9fa; padding: 15px 10px; font-family: "Georgia"; } and UserPanelResources.java like: public interface UserPanelResources extends ClientBundle { public interface UserPanelCss extends CssResource { String main(); } @Source("css/userpanel.css") UserPanelCss userpanel(); } All the files and packages are in their place, as everything compiles just fine. But when I run the Development Mode, the styles are not applied! I tried many different approaches, but it still doesn't work. What I noticed, is that in the HTML, the VerticalPanel is given the class name obfuscated by GWT, but the CSS is not send to the browser - in fact, the GWT doesn't even ask for it. Am I missing something?

  • Ellipsize not working for textView inside custom listView

    - by aspartame
    Hi, I have a listView with custom objects defined by the xml-layout below. I want the textView with id "info" to be ellipsized on a single line, and I've tried using the attributes android:singleLine="true" android:ellipsize="end" without success. If I set the layout_width to a fixed width like e.g. android:layout_width="100px" the text is truncated fine. But for portability reasons this is not an acceptable solution. Can you spot the problem? <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <LinearLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:orientation="vertical" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:paddingBottom="5px" > <TextView android:id="@+id/destination" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:textSize="22dp" android:paddingLeft="5px" /> <TextView android:id="@+id/date" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:textSize="15dp" android:paddingLeft="5px" /> <TableLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:id="@+id/info_table" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:paddingLeft="5px" android:paddingTop="10px" > <TableRow> <TextView android:id="@+id/driver_label" android:gravity="right" android:paddingRight="5px" android:text="@string/driver_label" /> <TextView android:id="@+id/driver" /> </TableRow> <TableRow> <TextView android:id="@+id/passenger_label" android:gravity="right" android:paddingRight="5px" android:text="@string/passenger_label" /> <TextView android:id="@+id/passengers" /> </TableRow> <TableRow> <TextView android:id="@+id/info_label" android:gravity="right" android:paddingRight="5px" android:text="@string/info_label"/> <TextView android:id="@+id/info" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:singleLine="true" android:ellipsize="end" /> </TableRow> </TableLayout>

  • Encrypting with Perl CBC and decrypting with PHP mcrypt

    - by Ed
    I have an encrypted string that was encrypted with Perl Crypt::CBC (Rijndael,cbc). The original plaintext was encrypted with encrypt_hex() method of Crypt::CBC. $encrypted_string = '52616e646f6d49567b2c89810ceddbe8d182c23ba5f6562a418e318b803a370ea25a6a8cbfe82bc6362f790821dce8441a790a7d25d3d9ea29f86e6685d0796d'; I have the 32 character key that was used. mcrypt is successfully compiled into PHP, but I'm having a very hard time trying to decrypt the string in PHP. I keep getting gibberish back. If I unpack('H*', $encrypted_string), I see 'RandomIV' followed by what looks like binary. I can't seem to correctly extract the IV and separate the actual encrypted message. I know I'm not providing my information, but I'm not sure where else to start. $cipher = 'rijndael-256'; $cipher_mode = 'cbc'; $td = mcrypt_module_open($cipher, '', $cipher_mode, ''); $key = '32 characters'; // Does this need to converted to something else before being passed? $iv = ?? // Not sure how to extract this from $encrypted_string. $token = ?? // Should be a sub-string of $encrypted_string, correct? mcrypt_generic_init($td, $key, $iv); $clear = rtrim(mdecrypt_generic($td, $token), ''); mcrypt_generic_deinit($td); mcrypt_module_close($td); echo $clear; Any help, pointers in the right direction, would be greatly appreciated. Let me know if I need to provide more information.

  • VB6 Manifest not working on Windows 7

    - by Matt
    I have created a manifest file for a VB6 application that is running on Windows 7 (not for any visual style changes, just to make sure it accesses the common registry and not a virtualised one) The exe name is Capadm40.exe, the manifest is named Capadm40.exe.manifest and contains the following: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?> <assembly xmlns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:asm.v1" manifestVersion="1.0"> <assemblyIdentity version="1.0.0.0" processorArchitecture="X86" name="CompanyName.Capadm40" type="win32"/> <description>Administers the System</description> <!-- Identify the application security requirements. --> <trustInfo xmlns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:asm.v3"> <security> <requestedPrivileges> <requestedExecutionLevel level="asInvoker" uiAccess="false"/> </requestedPrivileges> </security> </trustInfo> </assembly> However, this doesn't seem to make any difference. ie the application is still using the virtualised registry hive. What is also strange is the after I unticked the 'Run this program as an administrator' option in the properties of the application exe, windows still shows a shield on the application icon, leading my to think this is some issue with my windows installation rather than a fault with the manifest. Any ideas?

    I'm trying to use the WCF Rest Starter Kit with the RightScale's Login API which seems fairly simple to use. Edit - Here's a blog entry I wrote on using Powershell to consume the API. Edit - Created a generic .NET wrapper for the RightScale API - NRightAPI It's exactly as simple as it looks while using CURL. In order for me to obtain a login cookie all I need to do is: curl -v -c rightcookie -u username:password "https://my.rightscale.com/api/acct/accountid/login?api_version=1.0" And I receive the following cookie: HTTP/1.1 204 No Content Date: Fri, 25 Dec 2009 12:29:24 GMT Server: Mongrel 1.1.3 Status: 204 No Content X-Runtime: 0.06121 Content-Type: text/html; charset=utf-8 Content-Length: 0 Cache-Control: no-cache Added cookie _session_id="488a8d9493579b9473fbcfb94b3a7b8e5e3" for domain my.rightscale.com, path /, expire 0 Set-Cookie: _session_id=488a8d9493579b9473fbcfb94b3a7b8e5e3; path=/; secure Vary: Accept-Encoding However, when I use the following C# code: HttpClient http = new HttpClient("https://my.rightscale.com/api/accountid/login?api_version=1.0"); http.TransportSettings.UseDefaultCredentials = false; http.TransportSettings.MaximumAutomaticRedirections = 0; http.TransportSettings.Credentials = new NetworkCredential("username", "password"); Console.WriteLine(http.Get().Content.ReadAsString()); Instead of a HTTP 204, I get a redirect: You are being <a> href="https://my.rightscale.com/dashboard"redirected <a> How do I get the WCF REST starter kit working with the RighScale API ?

  • iPhone SDK - (void)viewDidLoad { } - Show Progress

    - by Hank Brekke
    I have a long - (void)viewDidLoad { } function that uses the internet to load a page, and whenever the application loads the URL, the screen is black. I have a UIActivityIndicator setup to show that the address is loading, but I don't know how to prevent it from seeming as if the application is not responding, and I don't want to show the network activity indicator [[UIApplication sharedApplication] setNetworkActivityIndicatorVisible:YES]; because the screen will still be black, just with a loader in the top corner. My code is below: - (void)viewDidLoad { NSUserDefaults *defaults = [NSUserDefaults standardUserDefaults]; email.text = [defaults objectForKey:@"mom_email"]; pass.text = [defaults objectForKey:@"mom_pass"]; if (email.text != nil && pass.text != nil) { [self login:loginBtn]; } } - (IBAction)login:(id)sender { [email resignFirstResponder]; [pass resignFirstResponder]; [loader startAnimating]; // Does nothing though NSString *em = (NSString *)CFURLCreateStringByAddingPercentEscapes(NULL,(CFStringRef)email.text,NULL,(CFStringRef)@"!*'();:@&=+$,/?%#[]",kCFStringEncodingUTF8); NSString *ps = (NSString *)CFURLCreateStringByAddingPercentEscapes(NULL,(CFStringRef)pass.text,NULL,(CFStringRef)@"!*'();:@&=+$,/?%#[]",kCFStringEncodingUTF8); NSURL *url = [[NSURL alloc] initWithScheme:@"http" host:@"localhost" path:[[NSString alloc] initWithFormat:@"/app/login.php?email=%@&pass=%@", em, ps]]; NSURLRequest *request = [NSURLRequest requestWithURL:url]; NSData *data = [NSURLConnection sendSynchronousRequest:request returningResponse:nil error:nil]; NSString *loginResult = [[NSString alloc] initWithData:data encoding:NSASCIIStringEncoding]; [loader stopAnimating]; NSRange range = [loginResult rangeOfString:@"1"]; if (range.location != NSNotFound) { [self dismissModalViewControllerAnimated:YES]; // Doesn't do anything if function called from viewDidLoad } }

  • Emphasized text in docbook, fo, pdf out put.

    - by Mica
    I am trying to emphasize a character of some static text to render into the footer of my pdf, but can't figure out the right combination of tags in my xsl. How can I accomplish this? Example: <!-- Footer content --> <xsl:template name="footer.content"> <xsl:param name="pageclass" select="''"/> <xsl:param name="sequence" select="''"/> <xsl:param name="position" select="''"/> <xsl:param name="gentext-key" select="''"/> <fo:block> <xsl:choose> ... <xsl:when test="$sequence = 'odd' and $position = 'left'"> <xsl:text>&#x00A9;<emphasis>My</emphasis>Company</xsl:text> </xsl:when> ... </xsl:choose> </fo:block> </xsl:template> This example generates an error in xsltproc. Help!

  • OpenEjb DeploymentLoader.getWebDescriptors NullPointerException

    - by jwmajors81
    I am currently getting the following error when I try to startup an EAR that includes OpenEJB. The error is: java.lang.NullPointerException at org.apache.openejb.config.DeploymentLoader.getWebDescriptors(DeploymentLoader.java:1057) at org.apache.openejb.config.DeploymentLoader.discoverModuleType(DeploymentLoader.java:1162) at org.apache.openejb.config.DeploymentsResolver.processUrls(DeploymentsResolver.java:294) at org.apache.openejb.config.DeploymentsResolver.loadFromClasspath(DeploymentsResolver.java:248) at org.apache.openejb.spring.ClassPathApplication.loadApplications(ClassPathApplication.java:56) at org.apache.openejb.spring.AbstractApplication.deployApplication(AbstractApplication.java:106) at org.apache.openejb.spring.OpenEJB.deployApplication(OpenEJB.java:342) at org.apache.openejb.spring.AbstractApplication.start(AbstractApplication.java:94) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke0(Native Method) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(NativeMethodAccessorImpl.java:79) at sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.java:43) at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Method.java:618) at org.springframework.beans.factory.annotation.InitDestroyAnnotationBeanPostProcessor$LifecycleElement.invoke(InitDestroyAnnotationBeanPostProcessor.java:340) The environment consists of: - Spring 3.0 - OpenEJB 3.1 - WebSphere 6.1 (Without EJB/Web Service feature packs) - OpenEJB-Spring jar The app-config.xml that configures Spring and OpenEJB looks like: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <beans xmlns="http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:context="http://www.springframework.org/schema/context" xmlns:p="http://www.springframework.org/schema/p" xsi:schemaLocation=" http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans/spring-beans-3.0.xsd http://www.springframework.org/schema/context http://www.springframework.org/schema/context/spring-context-3.0.xsd" Also please note that I do have a JUnit test that runs against the app-config.xml specified above that can successfully load the application context file. It is just when I deploy it to WebSphere I encounter the error provided at the beginning of this message. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jeremy

  • Constant NSDictionary/NSArray for class methods.

    - by Jeff B
    I am trying to code a global lookup table of sorts. I have game data that is stored in character/string format in a plist, but which needs to be in integer/id format when it is loaded. For instance, in the level data file, a "p" means player. In the game code a player is represented as the integer 1. This let's me do some bitwise operations, etc. I am simplifying greatly here, but trying to get the point across. Also, there is a conversion to coordinates for the sprite on a sprite sheet. Right now this string-integer, integer-string, integer-coordinate, etc. conversion is taking place in several places in code using a case statement. This stinks, of course, and I would rather do it with a dictionary lookup. I created a class called levelInfo, and want to define the dictionary for this conversion, and then class methods to call when I need to do a conversion, or otherwise deal with level data. NSString *levelObjects = @"empty,player,object,thing,doohickey"; int levelIDs[] = [0,1,2,4,8]; // etc etc @implementation LevelInfo +(int) crateIDfromChar: (char) crateChar { int idx = [[crateTypes componentsSeparatedByString:@","] indexOfObject: crateChar]; return levelIDs[idx]; } +(NSString *) crateStringFromID: (int) crateID { return [[crateTypes componentsSeparatedByString:@","] objectAtIndex: crateID]; } @end Is there a better way to do this? It feels wrong to basically build these temporary arrays, or dictionaries, or whatever for each call to do this translation. And I don't know of a way to declare a constant NSArray or NSDictionary. Please, tell me a better way....

  • Is there any open source tool that automatically 'detects' email threading like Gmail?

    - by Chris W.
    For instance, if the original message (message 1) is... Hey Jon, Want to go get some pizza? -Bill And the reply (message 2) is... Bill, Sorry, I can't make lunch today. Jonathon Parks, CTO Acme Systems On Wed, Feb 24, 2010 at 4:43 PM, Bill Waters wrote: Hey John, Want to go get some pizza? -Bill In Gmail, the system (a) detects that message 2 is a reply to message 1 and turns this into a 'thread' of sorts and (b) detects where the replied portion of the message actually is and hides it from the user. (In this case the hidden portion would start at "On Wed, Feb..." and continue to the end of the message.) Obviously, in this simple example it would be easy to detect the "On <Date, <Name wrote:" or the "" character prefixes. But many email systems have many different style of marking replies (not to mention HTML emails). I get the feeling that you would have to have some damn smart string parsing algorithms to get anywhere near how good GMail's is. Does this technology already exist in an open source project somewhere? Either in some library devoted to this exclusively or perhaps in some open source email client that does similar message threading? Thanks.

  • File Format Conversion to TIFF. Some issues???

    - by Nains
    I'm having a proprietary image format SNG( a proprietary format) which is having a countinous array of Image data along with Image meta information in seperate HDR file. Now I need to convert this SNG format to a Standard TIFF 6.0 Format. So I studied the TIFF format i.e. about its Header, Image File Directories( IFD's) and Stripped Image Data. Now I have few concerns about this conversion. Please assist me. SNG Continous Data vs TIFF Stripped Data: Should I convert SNG Data to TIFF as a continous data in one Strip( data load/edit time problem?) OR make logical StripOffsets of the SNG Image data. SNG Data Header uses only necessary Meta Information, thus while converting the SNG to TIFF, some information can’t be retrieved such as NewSubFileType, Software Tag etc. So this raises a concern that after conversion whether any missing directory information such as NewSubFileType, Software Tag etc is necessary and sufficient condition for TIFF File. Encoding of each pixel component of RGB Sample in SNG data: Here each SNG Image Data Strip per Pixel component is encoded as: Out^[i] := round( LineBuffer^[i * 3] * **0.072169** + LineBuffer^[i * 3 + 1] * **0.715160** + LineBuffer^[i * 3+ 2]* **0.212671**); Only way I deduce from it is that each Pixel is represented with 3 RGB component and some coefficient is multiplied with each component to make the SNG Viewer work RGB color information of SNG Image Data. (Developer who earlier work on this left, now i am following the trace :)) Thus while converting this to TIFF, the decoding the same needs to be done. This raises a concern that the how RBG information in TIFF is produced, or better do we need this information?. Please assist...

  • What is wrong with this layout? Android

    - by kellogs
    Hi, I am trying to accomplish a view like this: left side = live camera preview, right side = a column of 4 images. But all that I managed with the following xml was a fullscreen live camera preview. Android 1.5 emulator. Thanks <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <RelativeLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent"> <proto.wiinkme.SurfaceViewEx android:id="@+id/preview" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_alignParentLeft="true" android:layout_weight="3"/> <LinearLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:orientation="vertical" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:layout_toRightOf="@+id/preview" android:layout_alignParentRight="true" android:layout_weight="1"> <ImageView android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:id="@+id/mother_earth" android:src="@drawable/mother_earth_show" /> <ImageView android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:id="@+id/meadow" android:src="@drawable/meadow_show" /> <ImageView android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:id="@+id/trap" android:src="@drawable/trap_show" /> <ImageView android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:id="@+id/whistle" android:src="@drawable/whistle_show" /> </LinearLayout> </RelativeLayout>

  • Setting custom behaviour via .config file - why doesn't this work?

    - by Andrew Shepherd
    I am attempting to insert a custom behavior into my service client, following the example here. I appear to be following all of the steps, but I am getting a ConfigurationErrorsException. Is there anyone more experienced than me who can spot what I'm doing wrong? Here is the entire app.config file. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?> <configuration> <system.serviceModel> <behaviors> <endpointBehaviors> <behavior name="ClientLoggingEndpointBehaviour"> <myLoggerExtension /> </behavior> </endpointBehaviors> </behaviors> <extensions> <behaviorExtensions> <add name="myLoggerExtension" type="ChatClient.ClientLoggingEndpointBehaviourExtension, ChatClient, Version=0.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null"/> </behaviorExtensions> </extensions> <bindings> </bindings> <client> <endpoint behaviorConfiguration="ClientLoggingEndpointBehaviour" name="ChatRoomClientEndpoint" address="http://localhost:8016/ChatRoom" binding="wsDualHttpBinding" contract="ChatRoomLib.IChatRoom" /> </client> </system.serviceModel> </configuration> Here is the exception message: An error occurred creating the configuration section handler for system.serviceModel/behaviors: Extension element 'myLoggerExtension' cannot be added to this element. Verify that the extension is registered in the extension collection at system.serviceModel/extensions/behaviorExtensions. Parameter name: element (C:\Documents and Settings\Andrew Shepherd\My Documents\Visual Studio 2008\Projects\WcfPractice\ChatClient\bin\Debug\ChatClient.vshost.exe.config line 5) I know that I've correctly written the reference to the ClientLoggingEndpointBehaviourExtensionobject, because through the debugger I can see it being instantiated.
