  • How do I remove separation between rows in a HTML table?

    I have a html table with 3 rows and 1 column. In the top and button row I have images and in the middle row I have div. Between my rows I see a separation (I see background of my page). I tried to set all padding and margins to zero (for tables, div and images) and I still have this separation. Can anybody, please, help me to solve this problem. The page is here:

  • an alternative to progressbar?

    could anybody knows any alternatives to progressbar? Inmy project im using progressbar..I would like to change it to something like a rotating gif image which indicates the processing or someother labels which prevents the user from interacting to the program.I tried to implement the gif image by using background worker but its hanging may be coz of huge file transfer process.. So im searching for someother alternative like a label which will disable the content and prevent the user to interact with the program. Could anybody help me on this?

    Hello, I am developing a new Java Desktop app. Something like a media player. I want to load most of the resources in the background when the computer starts up. But the users can turn this option off form within the app or using some other utility. So, what I want to do is if a ban instance of the app is already running and the user starts the app again then I can communicate with the already running instance so that it can launch a new window?

    Can anyone recommend any techniques or advice for working in a noisy office? I know some people wear headphones and listen to music but I prefer silence. I work in a room with 4 others, there are no walls between us, we just each have our own desk. There is usually always someone talking, or on the phone, or on the intercom.     I did a lot of searching for what I thought would be a pretty common question, but I came up with nothing. If there is another thread with a similar topic, please let me know. Basically, I'm looking for a way to have an .mp3 file play in a website without relying on a flash-based player. I've searched w3 schools and every forum I can think of, but every media player I've found so far has been some sort of proprietary flash player. Doesn't HTML support some sort of native player? I've found some that rely on Windows Media Player which is close, but I want the player to work on an iPhone and something tells me WMP won't get that done... PS, as I'm thinking more about this this idea just popped into my head: a javascipt player and inside the <noscript> tag, put a flash player? I'm running a music blog (@ http://www.freshoncampus.com) so the less code per post, the better...

  • UIView fine for iPhone 4in, but squashed in iPhone 3.5in

    I started a new project in the new Xcode, and I see that my default the main window is set to 320x548. I'm fine with that, but when I test my app, a view I added to my main xib, which is supposed to be 280x280, looks more like 280x200 when testing on 3.5in devices. I've tried changing the settings for that view in the xib, but nothing seems to affect it. How do I ensure background compatibility so that in older devices the view is the same size?
