• TFS 2010 and SCVMM to manage snapshots

  I have a VM with TFS 2010 and SCVMM 2008 installed on (I know your told not to do that). I have SCVMM linked to the host and thats working good, and have configured the scvmm on the lab management tab on TFS. My question is, how can you take/roll back snapshots automatically? ie install base take snapshot install patch run tests take snapshot go back to snapshot taken at step 2 Thanks in advance.

  This is a strange one...I have a customer for whom background colors don't show up in either Firefox or IE. For example, check out msn.com. See how theres a blue background? For my client, that background shows as white. Any thoughts? I couldn't find any settings to affect this issue.

Clicking the More Info button leads to a bunch of other questions, but offers no indication on how to remove this prompt. How do you adjust IE's settings to remove this security warning?

  I need to quickly send messages with a little variation in IRC (ie, irc commands). On windows/mirc, I can just click up and the chat input will fill with my previous message. I'm currently using Adium, but it doesn't have this basic feature? Does anyone know how I can get this, or perhaps suggest a different client. Thanks.

  Hi Guys, I have 3 monitors on 2 graphics cards (both nvidia) to get all 3 working i set 2 as twinview and one to have its own x screen. but when i do this, the twinview screens (which previously worked like 2 seperate screens) now work as one, ie a maximised window is across both screens How can i get the twinview to work as 2 seperate screens again?

• Links not using FQDN on Sharepoint Mysite from an external access

  I've configured external access to some sharepoint applications, including MySites, using AAM and ISA configuration. Every seems working well, but when using the external access (ie via https), some links are not working because they use the internal name (http://mysite) instead of the FQDN via https (https://mysite.mydomain.fr*) Any hint or suggestion are welcome. *yes, i'm french. =) EDIT : examples of links that are not working : - when clicking on a folder in a library - when clicking on "My links" then "My sharepoint sites" and then clicking on one of the links displayed

• Unable to access certain websites from a computer

  One of the desktop computers in my office is unable to access some particular websites. We've tried from Chrome, IE, Firefox, but no luck. eg: http://spsims.wto.org/ -> click on "Regular notifications" On the affected computer, every browser times out after the click. Whereas it should redirect the user to http://spsims.wto.org/web/pages/search/notification/regular/Search.aspx How can I diagnose this further? This is a Windows XP machine.

• chrome loses cookies

  I'm using google chrome beta version, recently i found all my saved authentications get lost when closing the window and reopen. It is not saving any passwords or "stay signed in" or "remember me in this computer". This applies for gmail, facebook, yahoo, etc. the issue is only with chrome, while firefox and IE are still ok. Is it something i messed up, or is it just chrome?

I have "iexplore.exe" set to 8888 (decimal mode) under MACHINE, but it's still coming up documentMode = 5. I thought 8888 was suppose to force IE8 Standards Mode whether you have a doctype or not. • How to replicate wwwroot over multiple IIS web servers with NLB without NAS?

  We're adding a second server with Windows NLB for a bit of redundancy (ie the power goes on one of the servers - I know its not the best solution). How can we keep the data identical between the servers? Dont want to use a SAN or NAS as thats just something else to go wrong. I'm wondering what is meant by the "Windows Internet Explorer 7/8 Dynamic Installer" category under "Under Products And Classifications"? Will this allow me to push out updates for IE 7/8 or will it also push out upgrades from IE6 or IE7 to IE7 or IE8. We're running IE7 at the moment, and want to avoid upgrading to IE8 at this point in time.

  I have a web server/database/domainController. I notice that ports 137 and 138 on the public IP AND private IP are open on all machines there are also other open ports on 0.0.0.0.(ie. 135, 2002) Can and should I close 137-139 on the public IP only? will that interfere with any services.

• Losing connection when watching flash videos

  Whenever I play a flash video on my browser (whichever I use, Chrome, Firefox or IE), there's a risk that I lose my Internet connection. I know it's limited to my computer only as my roommates are unaffected. I'm the only one that loses connection. Using Internet Explorer's diagnosis tool always repairs the connection, but it's annoying as hell. My OS is Windows XP, if that matters. Anyone knows what may be causing this and how to fix it?

  I recently created an Intranet application for my company, but to work properly it must execute an ActiveX control to locally run a program. However, the only way I found for this to work was using Internet Explorer, and setting Intranet security to a personalized "very low" configuration for being able to execute ActiveX scripts without asking. I think there is a way to automatically configure IE's settings for all users from Active Directory, but I can't find it. Any help?
