• Application doesn't start

  Hello, I am having a rather strange problem, I deployed 2 .NET applications on my machine. Both run on v2.0. Now, while one of it works smoothly, the other one doesn't even start! Moreover, it doesn't throw any error, I couldn't see any error listings in the Event Viewer. Becoming hard to debug. On every other machine, both the exe's work perfectly fine! Any known issues? • set include_path for embed files like .js and .css?

  OK so I now know there is a way to put all my php files in a single place and have them be able to be included without a filepath by setting an include_path like so: php_value include_path .:/pathToPHPFiles OK so now as long as my PHP files are in this directory I can include them from any subdirectory as if they were in the same directory. I am wondering if there is a trick like this for other file types like .css and .js so I can put them all in single location and embed them in a page without worring about the filepath?

Is there anything out there which will give me a nice IDE, Web Server, Debugger, Database, etc, on a single install image (*.msi or *.exe)? This of course would be completely opposite of Eclipse PDT, which requires you to search and locate a bunch of additional components which never quite work together.

• perforce exclude subfolder from diff

  I have added an exclusion to my workspace which is called "dev-machine" -//depot/DotNetProject/bin/... //dev-machine/bin/... The bin folder now shows as excluded in p4diff but... The differences are still showing i.e. diff 1 of 11 and the next and previous arrows are still taking me into those excluded folders. Am I missing something obvious here?

  Is it appropriate to create jQuery plugins which are specific to a single page? I've been creating generic plugins that are not tied to any context and contain no business logic, but some people I've talked to suggest that almost all javascript, including business logic and logic specific to a single page, should be inside of jQuery plugins. Is it appropriate to have a validateformXYZ plugin which validates a specific HTML form? I'm buying into jQuery 100% but am not sure if this is a misuse or not.

  Is it possible to deceive SQL Server to return a different date on GetDate() without actually changing the machine date? This would be great, since we have a database with old data and I'm trying to test some queries that use getdate(). • Subversion import existing project is much smaller than first checkout

  I have an existing project that I imported into subversion using TortoiseSVN. Total project size says 1.45MB. Total folder size on my machine is 9.72MB. Create new folder, right-click, checkout 7.14MB transferred and 19.4MB on my machine. Can anyone explain this to me? I did a quick KDiff on the folders and they're identical.

• Forward DB requests after a DB move in SQL Server

  I've moved database from one SQL Server instance on a machine to another machine completely. Is there any way to forward requests to the new server automatically so it doesn't require client config changes?
