• Can Python's set absesnce of ordering be considered random order?

  Hello people. I'd like to know if the absence of element ordering of the Python's built-in set structure is "random enough". For instance, taking the iterator of a set, can it be considered a shuffled view of its elements? (If it matters, I'm running Python 2.6.5 on a Windows host.)

  Hello, I'm using a linux server that display directories in a bold font, and files in a normal font. e.g. $ ls produces afile.txt afolder anotherfile.txt anotherfolder I'd like to use this feature on some other servers. How can it be done? with the .bash_profile? If anyone has other ideas on how to differentiate folders from file, they'd be good to know?

  I have managed to make a hello world JBox2D application, and it works (I have some bouncing balls). However, I just read a comment on a forum post, which claims that JBox2D produces a lot of garbage, and so causes animation to be poor. Is this true?   Hello, In my iPhone application, I need to calculate the time difference between the time a message was created on the server, and the time my phone received it. The server (Java) puts in a number returned by System.currentTimeMillis() as metadata along with the message. How do I compare this number with the current time on the device?
