  • PHP regular expression

    - by Ferol
    such text: $text = ' href="http://yahoo.com" target="_blank"> link text </a> text... text... <br> text...'; // $text = ' text... <a href="http://yahoo.com" target="_blank"> link text </a> text... text... <br> text...'; and such regular expression: preg_match_all('/^(.*)(<.+>)(.*)(<\/.+>)(.*)$/',$text,$matches); what I want, - to check if text matches the regular expression. If yes, then $matches should contain parts of string above, if not (as I guess) it should contain four zero-length arrays. something is wrong, but I can't find, what actually is?

  • Php wrapper class for XML

    - by gms8994
    I'm working on a new class to wrap XML handling. I want my class to use simplexml if it's installed, and the built in XML functions if it's not. Can anyone give me some suggestions on a skeleton class to do this? It seems "wrong" to litter each method with a bunch of if statements, and that also seems like it would make it nearly impossible to correctly test. Any upfront suggestions would be great! EDIT: I'm talking about these built-in xml functions.

  • How to access a plugin model from a regular controller in PHP Cake 1.1

    - by Duncan
    Hopefully a simple question: I've a plugin which uses a set of tables (kb_items, kb_item_tags, etc). and I'd like to be able to access these models from another controller (say, my Pages controller), thus: class PagesController extends AppController{ function knowledgebase(){ $items = $this->KbItem->findAll(...); } } I am admittedly breaking the rules a little (by not placing this controller inside the knowledge base plugin), but this in this case its a custom page that doesn't need to be part of the knowledge base plugin code base. Please let me know if you need more details. Thanks in advance for any help!

  • need to query MongoDB using php

    - by Mario Villarroel
    I need to query mongodb with something like this: ("something" < X OR "something" = "nll") AND ("someother"X OR "someother"= "nll") AND z=$z AND s=1 I've tried a few things, but can't get it to work, this is what I've tried: find( array( '$or'=array(array("something"=array("$le",$X)),array("something"="nll")), '$or'=array(array("someother"=array("$ge",$X)),array("someother"="nll")) )) But that's getting me the OR overwritten, so I'm lost on that... After diggin a bit more, I assembled this code that seems to be what I need, but doesn't work either: find( array('$and'=array( array( '$or' = array( array("something"=array('$gte'=$X)),array("something"="nll"))), array('$or' = array( array("someother"=array('$lte'=$X)),array("someother"="nll")))),"Z"=$z, "s"="1"); But this doesn't work as it returns zero results and I know for sure that there are more than 2 items that match on the db. (100% certain)

  • [PHP] Kohana-v3 ORM parent relationship

    - by VDVLeon
    Hi all, I just started with the version 3 of the Kohana Framework. I have worked a little with the $_has_many etc. Now I have the table pages. The primary key is pageID. The table has a column called parentPageID. Now I want to make a ORM model who, when accesed like this $page->parent->find() returns the page identified by parentPageID. I have the following already: // Settings protected $_table_name = 'pages'; protected $_primary_key = 'pageID'; protected $_has_one = array( 'parent' => array( 'model' => 'page', 'foreign_key' => 'parentPageID', ), ); But that does not work, it simply returns the first page from the table. Last query says this: SELECT `pages`.* FROM `pages` ORDER BY `pages`.`pageID` ASC LIMIT 1 Does somebody know how to solve this? I know this can: $parent = $page->parent->find($page->parentPageID); but it must be and can be cleaner (I think).

  • open encrypted file with php

    - by stormdrain
    Hi, I'm looking for a way to open encrypted files that are stored on a server. I'm using mcrypt to encrypt the files. I was initially going to create a class that would open the file, decrypt it, write it to a new location, then open that. But I have convinced myself there is a better way (I just don't know what it is). It seems like there should be a way to stream it (?) to the browser once it's decrypted. The initial setup would just link to the file location and the browser would take over (e.g. .pdf files would bring up a dialogue offering to open or save the file). If possible, I'd like it to do the same after decoding. Pointers? Advice? Bueller? Thanks!

  • MySQL access classes in PHP

    - by Mike
    I have a connection class for MySQL that looks like this: class MySQLConnect { private $connection; private static $instances = 0; function __construct() { if(MySQLConnect::$instances == 0) { //Connect to MySQL server $this->connection = mysql_connect(MySQLConfig::HOST, MySQLConfig::USER, MySQLConfig::PASS) or die("Error: Unable to connect to the MySQL Server."); MySQLConnect::$instances = 1; } else { $msg = "Close the existing instance of the MySQLConnector class."; die($msg); } } public function singleQuery($query, $databasename) { mysql_select_db(MySQLConfig::DB, $this->connection) or die("Error: Could not select database " . MySQLConfig::DB . " from the server."); $result = mysql_query($query) or die('Query failed.'); return $result; } public function createResultSet($query, $databasename) { $rs = new MySQLResultSet($query, MySQLConfig::DB, $this->connection ) ; return $rs; } public function close() { MySQLConnect::$instances = 0; if(isset($this->connection) ) { mysql_close($this->connection) ; unset($this->connection) ; } } public function __destruct() { $this->close(); } } The MySQLResultSet class looks like this: class MySQLResultSet implements Iterator { private $query; private $databasename; private $connection; private $result; private $currentRow; private $key = 0; private $valid; public function __construct($query, $databasename, $connection) { $this->query = $query; //Select the database $selectedDatabase = mysql_select_db($databasename, $connection) or die("Error: Could not select database " . $this->dbname . " from the server."); $this->result = mysql_query($this->query) or die('Query failed.'); $this->rewind(); } public function getResult() { return $this->result; } // public function getRow() // { // return mysql_fetch_row($this->result); // } public function getNumberRows() { return mysql_num_rows($this->result); } //current() returns the current row public function current() { return $this->currentRow; } //key() returns the current index public function key() { return $this->key; } //next() moves forward one index public function next() { if($this->currentRow = mysql_fetch_array($this->result) ) { $this->valid = true; $this->key++; }else{ $this->valid = false; } } //rewind() moves to the starting index public function rewind() { $this->key = 0; if(mysql_num_rows($this->result) > 0) { if(mysql_data_seek($this->result, 0) ) { $this->valid = true; $this->key = 0; $this->currentRow = mysql_fetch_array($this->result); } } else { $this->valid = false; } } //valid returns 1 if the current position is a valid array index //and 0 if it is not valid public function valid() { return $this->valid; } } The following class is an example of how I am accessing the database: class ImageCount { public function getCount() { $mysqlConnector = new MySQLConnect(); $query = "SELECT * FROM images;"; $resultSet = $mysqlConnector->createResultSet($query, MySQLConfig::DB); $mysqlConnector->close(); return $resultSet->getNumberRows(); } } I use the ImageCount class like this: if(!ImageCount::getCount()) { //Do something } Question: Is this an okay way to access the database? Could anybody recommend an alternative method if it is bad? Thank-you.

  • PHP, is_array() generating an "Undefined property: stdClass::$crit " error

    - by Brook Julias
    is_array($src2->crit) is generating an "Undefined property: stdClass::$crit" error. The line throwing the error is: if(is_array($src2->crit) && count($src->crit) > 0){ $src2->crit is initialized here. $src2->crit = array(); $src2->crit[0] = new dataSet(); $src2->crit[0]->tblName = $tbl2; $src2->crit[0]->colName = "ID"; $src2->crit[0]->val = $elm->editID; When testing $src2->crit with this code. print("\$src->crit is a ".$src->crit."<br />"); print_r($src->crit); print("<br />"); This is returned. $src2->crit is a Array Array ( [0] => dataSet Object ( [tblName] => sExam [colName] => ID [val] => 10 ) ) What am I not seeing/understanding correctly? If print("\$src2->crit is a ".$src->crit."<br />") returns that it is an array then why is is_array($src2->$crit) generating an error?
