For some reason when I download zip files with IE8 I get Folder is invalid or corrupted while downloading with Firefox or Chrome I can open the file. Is there a fix for this?
I'm trying to create a tool which will help my team perform code reviews on a more regular basis without it's usual massive overhead.
At the moment the manual process involves using Team Foundation Sidekicks to identify the Changesets and then exporting that to excel to filter the results to find which items need to be reviewed (e.g. code files).
I've heard mention of using a TFS API, but found very little help online possibly because I was asking google 'the wrong questions'.
I've got many, many mp3 files that I would like to merge into a single file. I've used the command line method
copy /b 1.mp3+2.mp3 3.mp3
but it's a pain when there's a lot of them and their namings are inconsistent. The time never seems to come out right either.
We've noticed that when checking in updates that our .DFM files have had ExplicitWidth and ExplicitHeight properties added for what appears to be no particular reason.
My two questions are, what are they for and why do they get automatically added by Delphi?
Below is an example with the property in:
object Splitter2: TcxSplitter
Left = 0
Top = 292
Width = 566
Height = 8
Cursor = crVSplit
HotZoneClassName = 'TcxXPTaskBarStyle'
AlignSplitter = salBottom
Control = BottomPanel
Color = clBtnFace
ExplicitWidth = 8
end
I'm using Hudson CI with a Python project. I've installed the Violations plugin and configured it to run the code against pylint. This works, but I only see a list of violations without linking to the source code. Is it possible to setup Violations and pylint to load and highlight the violating source files (something similar to the Cobertura Coverage Reports)?
Better yet, can Violations integrate with pep8.py?
Hi,
I am using subclipse to commit changes to SVN. Some files work, e.g. build.properties (I am developing a J2EE application) but most local changes are overwritten to match the version in the repository when I synchronize, and it says "no structural differences"?
Thanks,
Jon

I have several projects that need to write structured Textfiles, some with fixed size fields, other delimited by characters.
Is there a .net class that could be used for that?
I know there is a "Microsoft.VisualBasic.FileIO.TextFieldParser" that is useful for reading textfiles, i am actually searching for a ""Microsoft.VisualBasic.FileIO.TextFieldWriter"

Does anyone know of some sample code that shows how Delphi 2010 can read RAW files using its new COM interface to WIC?
I want to read Canon RAW images and then access specific pixels...
I want to access files in the /sys, to be exact in the /sys/class folder. I just need to read some values there.
I tried the Context.openFileInput method, but got only exceptions and I understand this is not the right way.
thanks for replying!
I know I can merge PDB with a DLL file but I'm trying to do the same with an XML documentation file.
It should be possible since you don't have .xml files with .net assemblies and yet you have documentation in the IDE.
Is there a way ?
Are there any security issues keeping the .NET PDB files on the real server?
I know that throwing exceptions might take a bit longer , but who throws exceptions during normal execution anyway? :-)
But from a security perspective? any issues?
I am working on a large C++ project in Visual Studio 2008, and there are a lot of files with unnecessary #include's. Sometimes the #include's are just artifacts and everything will compile fine with them removed, and in other cases classes could be forward declared and the #include could be moved to the .cpp file. Are there any good tools for detecting both of these cases?
Sometimes someone on our team does a git push and breaks the build because his local build works but he has forgotten to commit all his local modifications and untracked files to git before he pushes.
I'd like to prevent this... I poured over the docs for an hour or so today and couldn't find anything built in.
Does anyone have any solutions?
For example, say I moved a file from /project/file.cs to /project/subdir/file.cs. It would be nice if nautilus automatically converted this to bzr mv /project/file.cs /project/subdir/file.cs. Is it possible to set this up?
It would also be nice if I was warned when doing a plain old mv on version controlled files, but I suppose that's a separate question.
Is there an equivalent to IndexIgnore in .htaccess configuration for hiding specific directories (instead of just files)?
http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.0/mod/mod_autoindex.html#indexignore
I'm working on a new project with a full ANT build. I use eclipse to write my code, and I would like others to be able to check out the project to have a full working eclipse workspace. I do not want to have specific user settings committed though.
What files and directories should I have in source control?
(I'd rather not just go grab a plugin - I prefer more control over what goes in the repository)
After android installs an application from the Marketplace, does it keep the .apk file?
Is there a standard location where Android would keep such files?
I often need to display a list of files to the user, say, as a result of a search query.
Typically I describe my own simple DataTemplate for FileInfo. But I'm lazy to re-implement all the Explorer's functionality: the Views, Sorting, Context Menus and drag&drop.
I feel like the problem is common and someone has already assembled a good library for this purpose.
Can the IFilters be used to fetch document metadata like (To, From fields from an msg format message) and also all types of files? anyone know the solution?
Hi,
when i search for adding a system call, i get many articles but they seem to be for old versions, it also seems like a trivial process.
But the problem is, the directories that articles suggest does not hold for the version 2.6.31. does anyone know where unistd.h, syscall_table.S and syscalls.h or their corresponding files are?
Thanks in advance.
I want to use the PCH file to speed up the build, so i store the PCH file in a separate folder and reuse it when build the project later.
but I have some #import *.dll in my stdafx.h. so if something changed in the *.dll, the PCH file need be recreated.
my question is whether I can use multiple PCH files in 1 project, so that i can put the import *.dll to another PCH and only recreate this one if something changed in *.dll.
thanks in advance :)
