Is there any FTP client that support transfer files with multi-session? By which I mean, multi-session for single file, and also keep a session for browsing ftp sites. Thanks
Synergy is very handy for single mouse/keyboard set sharing between multiple PCs. But I have a laptop (WinXP SP3) and a desktop (OS X Snow Leopard), a mouse, a keyboard which plugs to desktop. I don't need to share keyboard since each has one. Is there any way to share mouse only? Since if keyboard sharing enable might cause inconvenience. Thanks.
PS. Another quick question is how to stop synergy daemon on Mac OS? synergys --help doesn't give any information.
Say when editing Google document A and want to put a link to open document B. Is there any way to do this? Thanks.
PS. I don't want both docs being shared.
I am using "RD Tabs" to bypass the terminal service gateway to RDP to the remote host. Usually I use browser and go to https://webvpn.company.com:777 with my account.
Now in RD Tabs advanced settings, it's asking server name and authentication method. How should I fill this information?
I tried below:
server: webvpn.company.com:777
authentication: Attempt TLS
But it's not working, what could be wrong? Thanks.
I've been using 'URL snooper' to find the hidden streaming url. And feed that url to VLC to record streaming video/audio. But the VLC can't read those url.
Then I also found that the url is like a floating url that changes every several hours. So the same audio station won't have same url. The streaming audio provider has bunches of audio stations and shuffle the link frequently.
Is there any way to record the streaming media in this case? Please advise, thanks.
Is there any tool that can automate recording online streaming radio? I've been use totalrecorder which it has below upside:
1. Handy scheduler.
2. Support create recording templates, so I can customize some high/low quality recording.
The downside are it requires to open the streaming radio in browser and can't have another sound source. It's recording what comes out from the speaker.
What I am looking for is given a online radio url, and the tool can record the audio stream. No matter if I am playing any other music or not.
Thanks.

Say I got some files in Chinese and some files in Korean. And in windows 'Region and Language Options', I set language for non-unicode program = Chinese. Is there any way that I can read some Korean text file in text editor easily without using Microsoft Word?
I need an environment that can support multiple unicode easily, I need to read Chinese, Japanese, Korean in text editor (Ultraeditor, notepad++) and terminal clients like SecureCRT. Please advise, thanks.
Since I seldom use the built-in cd-rom, but usually carelessly press open door button which is on the side of laptop. Is there any way to power off cd-rom so the button won't work. Better not to open the back lid and unplug power cable.
Is there any tool that can automatically download the picture from the website (like Bing.com background picture)? Not necessary to automate totally, just to make the save process more easier. (I wish to save those for my own wallpaper, and change randomly)

Junction is a good symbolic link tool in XP. However, it's not so easy to use at first moment, ie. only can use command line interface; move/rename target file/folder; got to use 'junction -d ' to delete link, don't allow delete in explore, but it's hard to distinguish if it's a symbolic link.
Is there any guides for how to use junction in XP like what to do and not to do?
Tunnelier is a good tool for SFTP. But is there any way for tunnelier to connect to FTP (port 21). I stuck at 'starting first key exchange'. Can anyone help me? Thanks
Are there any tools that can automate recording online streaming radio? I've been using Total Recorder which has the following useful features:

Does such a tool exist?
When picking receiver from my contact, the receiver's name will be displayed as well, like "Somebody" . But I don't want receiver to know how I named them. I just want them see receiver as [email protected]. Can I do this in gmail? Thanks.

When pressing win+E or open Windows Explorer, under My Computer, usually there are several disk drives. But somehow they just disappeared.
If I type c:\ in address bar, then the disk will re-appear in the tree though. How to get them back to normal? Thanks.
Say I have a pivot table in sheet2 and the raw data is from sheet1. Is there any way that let me can add more rows to sheet1 periodically and the pivot table still can auto update? Thanks.
It appears the default ISP proxy has some problem and got high latency. How to find a good alternative proxy at my location? Say google's proxy? I tried to search online (keyword: proxy mylocation), but couldn't tell which is trustworthy. Thanks.

I tried export HISTTIMEFORMAT='%D %T' but it seems the time stamp of commands executed before I set HISTTIMEFORMAT will be the time I logged in current session. Is this normal? Is there any way to check when did the previous command executed? Thanks.
When using Cisco anyconnect VPN, it seems the existing network connection is still going through old connection session (Is there any way to find out)?
The reason is because when using Cisco VPN client connect to gateway, usually the Messenger Live, Skype will be disconnected and requires to reconnect. But using anyconnect doesn't need to reconnect.
So I am guessing if those old sessions still go through original network connection. Which means, both connection is existing at the same time.
Take my case for example:
connection 1: wireless NIC - cable modem - my cable ISP - internet
connection 2: anyconnect - wireless NIC - cable modem - my cable ISP - VPN gateway - internet
Am I correct? Is there any way to check this? Thanks.
On CentOS 5.7, when open up a vncconfig, a tray icon shows on the taskbar. Hit close or the x button to close the vncconfig doesn't exit the vncconfig, the tray icon is still there. Next time, if I open up another vncconfig rather than clicking the one on taskbar. There will be another vncconfig tray icon added to the taskbar. Except using kill $pid to remove the tray icon, is there any other way to exit the vncconfig process properly? See screenshot below:

EDIT: Since I can't directly RDP to remote hosts, instead, I have to RDP to a terminal server and RDP from their to my destination. Is there client that can relay my connection from local and pass through the terminal to the real destination?
