  • ViewPager cycle between views?

    - by Erdem Azakli
    I want my ViewPager implementation to cycle between views instead of stopping at the last view. For example, if I have 3 views to display via a ViewPager, it should return back to the first View after the third View on fling instead of stopping at that third view. I want it to return to the first page/view when the user flings forward on the last page Thanks, Mypageradapter; package com.example.pictures; import android.content.Context; import android.media.AudioManager; import android.os.Parcelable; import android.support.v4.view.PagerAdapter; import android.support.v4.view.ViewPager; import android.view.LayoutInflater; import android.view.View; public class MyPagerAdapter extends PagerAdapter{ SoundManager snd; int sound1,sound2,sound3; boolean loaded = false; public int getCount() { return 6; } public Object instantiateItem(View collection, int position) { View view=null; LayoutInflater inflater = (LayoutInflater) collection.getContext() .getSystemService(Context.LAYOUT_INFLATER_SERVICE); this.setVolumeControlStream(AudioManager.STREAM_MUSIC); int resId = 0; switch (position) { case 0: resId = R.layout.picture1; view = inflater.inflate(resId, null); break; case 1: resId = R.layout.picture2; view = inflater.inflate(resId, null); break; case 2: resId = R.layout.picture3; view = inflater.inflate(resId, null); break; case 3: resId = R.layout.picture4; view = inflater.inflate(resId, null); break; case 4: resId = R.layout.picture5; view = inflater.inflate(resId, null); break; case 5: resId = R.layout.picture6; view = inflater.inflate(resId, null); break; } ((ViewPager) collection).addView(view, 0); return view; } @SuppressWarnings("unused") private Context getApplicationContext() { // TODO Auto-generated method stub return null; } private void setVolumeControlStream(int streamMusic) { // TODO Auto-generated method stub } @SuppressWarnings("unused") private Context getBaseContext() { // TODO Auto-generated method stub return null; } @SuppressWarnings("unused") private PagerAdapter findViewById(int myfivepanelpager) { // TODO Auto-generated method stub return null; } @Override public void destroyItem(View arg0, int arg1, Object arg2) { ((ViewPager) arg0).removeView((View) arg2); } @Override public boolean isViewFromObject(View arg0, Object arg1) { return arg0 == ((View) arg1); } @Override public Parcelable saveState() { return null; } public static Integer getItem(int position) { // TODO Auto-generated method stub return null; } } OnPageChangeListener; package com.example.pictures; import android.app.Activity; import android.content.Intent; import android.os.Bundle; import android.support.v4.view.ViewPager; import android.support.v4.view.ViewPager.OnPageChangeListener; import android.view.View; import android.widget.Button; import android.widget.Toast; public class Pictures extends Activity implements OnPageChangeListener{ SoundManager snd; int sound1,sound2,sound3; View view=null; @Override public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); setContentView(R.layout.picturespage); MyPagerAdapter adapter = new MyPagerAdapter(); ViewPager myPager = (ViewPager) findViewById(R.id.myfivepanelpager); myPager.setAdapter(adapter); myPager.setCurrentItem(0); myPager.setOnPageChangeListener(this); snd = new SoundManager(this); sound1 = snd.load(R.raw.sound1); sound2 = snd.load(R.raw.sound2); sound3 = snd.load(R.raw.sound3); } public void onPageScrollStateChanged(int arg0) { // TODO Auto-generated method stub } public void onPageScrolled(int arg0, float arg1, int arg2) { // TODO Auto-generated method stub } public void onPageSelected(int position) { // TODO Auto-generated method stub switch (position) { case 0: snd.play(sound1); break; case 1: snd.play(sound2); break; case 2: snd.play(sound3); break; case 3: Toast.makeText(this, "1", Toast.LENGTH_SHORT).show(); break; case 4: Toast.makeText(this, "2", Toast.LENGTH_SHORT).show(); break; case 5: Toast.makeText(this, "3", Toast.LENGTH_SHORT).show(); break; } } };

  • Lockdown Your Database Security

    - by Troy Kitch
A new article in Oracle Magazine outlines a comprehensive defense-in-depth approach for appropriate and effective database protection. There are multiple ways attackers can disrupt the confidentiality, integrity and availability of data and therefore, putting in place layers of defense is the best measure to protect your sensitive customer and corporate data. “In most organizations, two-thirds of sensitive and regulated data resides in databases,” points out Vipin Samar, vice president of database security technologies at Oracle. “Unless the databases are protected using a multilayered security architecture, that data is at risk to be read or changed by administrators of the operating system, databases, or network, or hackers who use stolen passwords to pose as administrators. Further, hackers can exploit legitimate access to the database by using SQL injection attacks from the Web. Organizations need to mitigate all types of risks and craft a security architecture that protects their assets from attacks coming from different sources.” Register and read more in the online magazine format.

  • Windows Vista, Default Programs API, file format associations, and (un)installers - explosive mix!

    - by Alex T.
My application is a rather well behaved Windows citizen, so when I ported it to Windows Vista/7 I replaced my custom file format association code with support for the Default Programs API. However I ran into a problem when trying to make uninstaller for my application - there seems to be no way to remove file format associations via Default Programs API. I tried to call IApplicationAssociationRegistration::ClearUserAssociations but it actually removes all associations, including the ones for other applications - completely restoring default state of the OS (which is of course unacceptable). I tried to call IApplicationAssociationRegistration::SetAppAsDefault to return file format associations to the previous "owner" - but it does not help, because my application handles many unique file formats which the OS does not support and there is no previous "owners". And Windows does not allow to pass empty strings to SetAppAsDefault... So what do I do? Any good solutions?

  • The Threats are Outside the Risks are Inside

    - by Naresh Persaud
In the past few years we have seen the threats against the enterprise increase dramatically. The number of attacks originating externally have outpaced the number of attacks driven by insiders. During the CSO Summit at Open World, Sonny Singh examined the phenomenon and shared Oracle's security story. While the threats are largely external, the risks are largely inside. Criminals are going after our sensitive customer data. In some cases the attacks are advanced. In most cases the attacks are very simple. Taking a security inside out approach can provide a cost effective way to secure an organization's most valuable assets. &amp;amp;amp;lt;/span&amp;amp;amp;gt;border-width:1px 1px 0;margin-bottom:5px&amp;amp;amp;quot; allowfullscreen=&amp;amp;amp;quot;&amp;amp;amp;quot;&amp;amp;amp;gt; Cso oow12-summit-sonny-sing hv4 from OracleIDM

  • TextMate can't find my RSpec gem in opt (from macports)

    - by sbwoodside
I know I've had this problem before so I'm really frustrated. I've got the Ruby RSpec bundle installed for TextMate, but when I Run Behaviour Description or Run Focused Example I get this wonderful error: /System/Library/Frameworks/Ruby.framework/Versions/1.8/usr/lib/ruby/1.8/rubygems.rb:827: in `report_activate_error': Could not find RubyGem rspec (>= 1.1.0) (Gem::LoadError) from /System/Library/Frameworks/Ruby.framework/Versions/1.8/usr/lib/ruby/1.8/rubygems.rb:261: in `activate' from /System/Library/Frameworks/Ruby.framework/Versions/1.8/usr/lib/ruby /1.8/rubygems.rb:68:in `gem' from /Users/simon/Library/Application Support/TextMate/Bundles/Ruby RSpec.tmbundle/Support/lib/spec_mate.rb:13 from /tmp/temp_textmate.oWRPUR:3:in `require' from /tmp/temp_textmate.oWRPUR:3 (I added linebreaks to make it readable) I'm using macports so my rspec gem is installed in /opt/local/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/. Why isn't it finding it? In Preferences Advanced Shell Variables my TM_RUBY is set to /opt/local/bin/ruby. I also tried the trick here: http://dnite.org/2007/8/28/textmate-and-your-environment-variables/ ... which didn't do anything.

  • Oracle Database 11g Helps Control Exponential Data Growth

    - by [email protected]
The 2010 ESG annual customer survey is now available. As part of it, ESG interviewed 300 customers about their IT priorities and, unsurprisingly, "Manage Data Growth" is top of the list. Perhaps less self-evident is the proposed solution to target this prime concern: "Often overlooked because it is a database platform, Oracle Database 11g offers additional capabilities such as automatic storage management (ASM), advanced data compression, and data protection that make managing data growth much easier for organizations of any size." The paper goes on to discuss these capabilities and highlights their potential benefits. Oracle Database 11g Helps Control Exponential Database Growth - a worthwhile read for anyone having to deal with rapidly increasing amounts of data. Download your free copy here.

  • Scala regex Named Capturing Groups

    - by Brent
In scala.util.matching.Regex trait MatchData I see that there support for groupnames (Named Capturing Groups) But since Java does not support groupnames until version 7 as I understand it, Scala version 2.8.0.RC4 (Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM, Java 1.6. gives me this exception: scala> val pattern = """(?<login>\w+) (?<id>\d+)""".r java.util.regex.PatternSyntaxException: Look-behind group does not have an obvio us maximum length near index 11 (?<login>\w+) (?<id>\d+) ^ at java.util.regex.Pattern.error(Pattern.java:1713) at java.util.regex.Pattern.group0(Pattern.java:2488) at java.util.regex.Pattern.sequence(Pattern.java:1806) at java.util.regex.Pattern.expr(Pattern.java:1752) at java.util.regex.Pattern.compile(Pattern.java:1460) So the question is Named Capturing Groups supported in Scala? If so any examples out there? If not I might look into the Named-Regexp lib from clement.denis.

  • I'm working on Peano Axioms in Agda and I've hit a bit of a sticking point

    - by Schroedinger
PA6 : ?{m n} -> m = n -> n = m is the axiom I am trying to solve and support, I've tried using a cong (from the core library) but am having troubles with the cong constructor PA6 = cong gets me nowhere, I know for cong I am required to supply a refl for equality and a type, but I'm, not sure what type I'm supposed to supply. Ideas? This is for a small assignment at University, so I'd rather someone demonstrate what I've missed rather than write the acutual answer, but I'd appreciate any degree of support.

  • Scribe Workbench Update Source

    - by Dave Noderer
I’ve been working with a program Scribe, similar in function to SSIS although I’m still an SSIS fanboy!! The main feature my customer has Scribe for is to load data into Microsoft CRM 4.0. A lot of what I’ve been doing is loading campaigns into CRM which are staged in SQL Server but I need to mark each one as imported so it will not get imported again. The screen shot below shows how to setup the Source update. One important thing is that the source SQL table has to have a primary key defined (this was a staging table and I did not do that at first)

  • Telecomunication SID model and resources [on hold]

    - by andygluk
There is a SID model well-known in telecom industry. Following this model you define resources as resources owned by your enterprise, and then you build resource-oriented services on top of it and then customer-oriented services and so on... So everything is based on enterprise-owned resources, which you have to identify first. What I am looking for and what I am asking is some alternative to this model, build not on enterprise-owned resources, but on resources sell by enterprise. Say, you are selling licenses for using your products. So instead of building model on top of enterprise resources you may be interested to build it on top of licenses you are selling.

  • Survey: How do you manage the source code for your personal projects?

    - by Linchi Shea
This seems to be the survey season. Andy’s post on source controlling T-SQL code triggered a question that I always wanted to ask. Do you version control the source code for your various personal projects (i.e. not projects of your customer or employer)? Do you use a computer at home for your source control repository, or do you use a hosting service such as ProjectLocker ? If you do it yourself at home, what version control software you use? If you use a hosting service, what’s your experience?...(read more)

  • CRM + Invoicing/Billing + Ticketing for a small web design company

    - by Mike
Hi everyone, I am currently using ActiveCollab but it lacks the typical CRM features. I can't even keep notes about a customer saved in one place. What I am looking for is a simple but efficient CRM application that allows me to store all the (potential) customers along with their phone calls noted down, contracts, agreements. On the billing end, I should be able to keep track of invoices and payments, along with a bit of sales reports. A great extra would be a ticket support feature but not really necessary I looked at VTiger and SugarCRM at first. Though, they look too complex on the sales/campaigns end but completely lack the billing side. Do you have some good apps/services to suggest? :) Any programming language or OS would do. Both paid and free. Thanks Mike

  • Getting libjpeg/libTIFF.dylib error after recompiling php in OS X 10.6.3 Server

    - by leggo-my-eggo
I've recompiled php 5.3.0 under OS X Server (10.6.3) in order to gain Freetype support in GD. As part of the process, I recompiled libjpeg-8a (and before that I tried libjpeg-7). But when I run apachectcl configtest, I get the following error: httpd: Syntax error on line 155 of /private/etc/apache2/httpd.conf: Cannot load /usr/libexec/apache2/mod_auth_user_host_apple.so into server: dlopen(/usr/libexec/apache2/mod_auth_user_host_apple.so, 10): Symbol not found: __cg_jpeg_resync_to_restart\n Referenced from: /System/Library/Frameworks/ApplicationServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/ImageIO.framework/Versions/A/Resources/libTIFF.dylib\n Expected in: /usr/lib/libJPEG.dylib\n in /System/Library/Frameworks/ApplicationServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/ImageIO.framework/Versions/A/Resources/libTIFF.dylib I don't really understand the error. Is there anyone who could help me figure out how to fix it? In php the gd library now seems unaware of libjpeg support.

  • Doing 64 bit manipulation using 32 bit data in Fixed point arithmetic using C.

    - by Viks
Hi, I am stuck with a problem. I am working on a hardware which only does support 32 bit operations. sizeof(int64_t) is 4. Sizeof(int) is 4. and I am porting an application which assumes size of int64_t to be 8 bytes. The problem is it has this macro BIG_MULL(a,b) ( (int64_t)(a) * (int64_t)(b) 23) The result is always a 32 bit integer but since my system doesn't support 64 bit operation, it always return me the LSB of the operation, rounding of all the results making my system crash.
