I want to learn some practical assembly language having just learned the basic concepts in class. Are there any decent books or tutorials (nasm, etc) that would be recommended?
Actually I have been assigned to implement Barrier system solution in either C or C++ programming language... But I have zero knowledge about it ... I know the problem as well as solution theoritically.. But I have no idea how to implement it.... How can it be possible in C++ to stop or run or wait any process....
Plz yaar... Anyone help me... It's urgent...
I'm wondering specifically what experienced programmers thought when they started developing in Python. I'm sure the answer depends on your background, but my own personal answer is the conversion of basically anything in the language to a True/False value in boolean contexts.
Resulting in "oddities" like:
if x:
not meaning the same thing as:
if x == True:
I understand why, but it bugs me, and I certainly had to think about it a bit when I first ran into it.
I'm hosting my own svn repository on ubuntu 8.04. Is there a way for svn to send emails to team members whenever a commit has happened?
If coding is required, the only language I'm able to use on a linux server is PHP. So I could write a php script to be triggered by svn.
Can anyone tell me how to hook up my php script to an svn commit? Or is there another way to do this?
Hello
Where can I find examples of code, written in "Unified Parallel C"?
I also interested in normative documents about this language (standards, reference manuals, online-accessible books and courses). What extensions were added to C to get UPC?
Is this dialect alive or dead?
Using Visual Studio 2005
Language: c#
A new to c#
I have software, the software should communicate with gprs devices. So i want to write a protocol, TCP, UDP communication code.
Can any one give some idea for writing a source code and some sample code also.
consider a standard c# 'function'
public void foo()
{
//some code
}
In c or c++ this is called a 'function' - even if taking no parameters and returning no value. In another language maybe it would be a 'procedure'.
In object orientation speak it would be called a 'method' if a class member.
What would be the correct term to use in c#?
I need to resize images and resample them so they don't end up all jagged (I think that's called aliasing).
I found some code (sorry, lost the link) that does this in pure VB6 code but it's a bit slow (2-5 seconds) and I'm displaying pictures in real time so I need something faster.
I seem to recall seeing some examples of doing this with the GDI+ library. An example in VB6 would be ideal, but I can probably work with a simple example with Windows API calls in another language.
Ok I've been curious about this for a while. In the C language where did they come up with the name atoi for converting a string to an integer? The only thing I can think of is Array To Integer for an acronym but that doesn't really make sense.
Hi,
Im my app I need to include push notifications,
Can anyone tell me how to write push notification provider server, and in whcih language we need to write it?
If anyone is having sample code of provider plese share it by posting...
By textbook based i mean the author asks the reader questions/mini projects after every section/chapter of the book. And the book includes background info on php 5, like what kind of language, its use, syntax/semantix/structure etc. Any suggestions?
Hi!
I would like to use Oblique projection for menus and perspective projection for the 3d-scene. is there a way to combine between this two projections ?
In general I'm asking how can I create menus in opengl for my 3d scene.
Programming using the c++ language.
Thanks!
Hello all,
my question is stated in the title. How exactly do I do that?
I have an open connection and I want to "hijack" it and send my custom messages through it. From my understanding that is done with sockets and their handlers.
Any language would do but C#.NET is preferred.
Thank you
Is there any API or a jQuery plugin that allow me to highlight a code on my website?
For example
<pre code="c#">
var x = new StringBuilder();
var complex = new Complex();
</pre>
<script type="text/javascript">
$("pre[code]").codehighlight({ language: "c#" });
</script>
Something like that?
I am very inexperienced with PHP and I've having trouble calling a mootools function.
Here's my code:
echo '<script language="JavaScript">';
echo "Sexy.error('Test!');";
echo '</script>';
When I try it with a simple alert('test') it works just fine.. I'm confused?!?
Considering the criteria listed below, which of Python, Groovy or Ruby would you use?
Criteria (Importance out of 10, 10 being most important)
Richness of API/libraries available (eg. maths, plotting, networking) (9)
Ability to embed in desktop (java/c++) applications (8)
Ease of deployment (8)
Ability to interface with DLLs/Shared Libraries (7)
Ability to generate GUIs (7)
Community/User support (6)
Portability (6)
Database manipulation (3)
Language/Semantics (2)
I have a help file for my program and was asked to add a description of the menus in a toolbar as the user browses them. So I thought I could just use the beginning of the menu's description of the help but just cant find how to access the contents of it.
I saw WinHelp has a macro language, so I figured maybe through this, but I couldnt find any references on this around.
Anybody now some pointers or examples of hot to do this?
In an interpreted language like PHP it is possible in theory to set up some sort of callback function that would be run indiscriminately after every line of code. I am wondering if such a thing exists in PHP or if such a thing could be accomplished in any way? Such a feature could be useful for diagnostics or performance tests. Does anyone know of such a mechanism in PHP?
Has anyone actually used Wt?
Did it work well?
Did you experience certain limitations? Or advantages?
Note:
Please avoid the discussion of whether C++ is suited to be a web development language. I just want to give Wt a try because it seems like a fun thing to do.
i have question can anybody give me link about cryptography with algorithms ?
thanks i need it very much in general i am using java language also it is possible in c++
but heart of site should be methods and theory part
When I wrote best I meant:
Speed,
Have an IDE, a debugger,
Compiling to machine code or some other language,
Quality of implemenation and,
Completeness.
I have a problem with "pairing" arrays into one (by index). Here is an example:
INPUT:
inputArray = [ [0, 1, 2, 3, 4], [2, 3, 5, 7, 8], [9, 6, 1] ]
OUTPUT:
outputArray = [
[0,2,9],
[1,3,6],
[2,5,1],
[3,7,chooseRandom()],
[4,8,chooseRandom()]]
Questions:
1) How to avoid out of range problem
2) How to write chooseRandom() to choose N neighbour
I'm using python but feel free to share your thoughts in any language.
Hi there,
I'm trying to find information on different ways to traverse an object tree in python.
I don't know much about the language in general yet, so any suggestions/techniques would be welcome.
Thanks so much
jml
Java is not my main programming language so I might be asking the obvious.
But is there a simple file-handling library in Java, like in python?
For example I just want to say:
File f = Open('file.txt', 'w')
for(String line:f){
//do something with the line from file
}
Thanks!
