Hi All,
Does everyone know how to create custom button in the excel that display simple window form in csharp language?
For example:
A button called "Show" in the excel toolbar that show messagebox pop up.
I've coded an experimental function which makes passed objects chainable by using high order functions. It's name is "chain" for now, and here is a usage example;
chain("Hello World")
(print) // evaluates print function by passing "Hello World" object.
(console.log,"Optional","Parameters")
(returnfrom) // returns "Hello World"
It looks lispy but behaves very different since it's coded in a C based language, I don't know if there is a name for this idiom and I couldn't any name more suitable than "chain".
Any ideas, suggestions?
I have been studying the JavaScript standard and have found that it is extremely hard to read and understand. I constantly have to backtrack to keep concepts in my head. When reading the C# standard I am able to study components of the language without constantly moving around the document.

Hello;
I need to write an application which is to calculate the estimated driving distance between two UK addresses; I think I can use Google as following:
http://maps.google.com/maps/nav?q=from:London%20to:Dover
However, anyone knows what is the daily/monthly limit of querying the database from a single IP address?
I need to implement in a commercial application (freight services), is there any reliable alternative?
Development language/platform: C#, .NET
Regards,
I'm using the Dr. Racket development environment and the language definition #lang scheme to do work for a course. However, I'm not sure how to best use this tool for debugging. I would like to be able to execute a function and step through it, observing the values of different functions at various points in execution.
Is this possible? If not, what is the typical method of stepping through the execution of a Scheme program and debugging it?
Hello,
I`ve been looking for a serverside language for some time, and python got my attention somewhat.
But as I already know and love javascript, I now want learn to code on the server with js and node.js.
Now, what books and what subjects do I need to learn to understand the serverside world better?
(let me know if Im to vague)
The immediate window is an immensely useful tool for debugging applications. You can use it to execute code statements that are valid in the context of your break point and inspect values. I also use it to type code snippets to learn language features.
How do you use the immediate window?
MSBuild in TFS 2010 has been replaced by Windows Workflow 4.0. It means when you are creating a Build Definition, you won't have a TFSBuild.proj to edit instead you must edit a workflow to customize your build.
BTW am I correct if I say Microsoft is not supporting MSBuild in TFS 2010 and learning MSBuild as a TFS 2010 Team Build administrator doesn't worth?
And another more question: Is microsoft going to replace Visual Studio Projects' language from MSBuild to something like Windows Workflow?
Many Thanks
I really like these tools when it comes to the concurrency level it can handle.
Erlang looks like much more stable solution but requires much more learning and a lot of diving into functional language paradigm. And it looks like Erlang makes it much better when it comes to multi cores CPUs(fix me if I'm wrong).
But which should I choose? Which one is better in the short/long term perspective?
I'm looking for resources, screencasts, books, courses, sites and the like to assist with learning Objective-C with the intention of developing applications for Apple's iOS 4.
My development team has access to Apple's development program, and is largely coming from a similar background: they're Comp Sci graduates that have experience with Ruby and web languages, but haven't written any C since university.
Considering Apple's announcement regarding limited programming language support for developers, what's the current best avenue for learning Objective-C with the desire for developing iPad and iPhone applications?
Since getting a satisfactory answer on SuperUser is very difficult, I want to rephrase this question and ask:
Is there any way to programatically detect a mouse was plugged in the usb port, and change the cursor speed in windows (perhaps through an API)?
I'd like to use C#, but I'm open to any language that can run on a windows 7 machine.
I want to store lines of strings dynamically using C language.
for e.g
sadasdasda5245sdf
fadfa6456
fasdf90-70=790
the number of such lines and the length of each line can be anything.Is there any way to store the whole thing dynamically.
I also want the books to be no older than 1 year old. And by textbook i mean i want the author(s) to go into the syntax,semantix,structure of the programming language as well as provide questions/mini projects to test what you learned after every section/chapter.
How can late binding can be achieved in c language?
can anybody please provide an example.
i think it can be achieved using dlopen and dlsym but i am not sure about it.please correct me if i am wrong!
I really feel that I should learn Lisp and there are plenty of good resources out there to help me do it.
I'm not put off by the complicated syntax, but where in "traditional commercial programming" would I find places it would make sense to use it instead of a procedural language.
Is there a commercial killer-app out there that's been written in Lisp ?
How can I get in Jena (Java language) result in UTF-8 format?
My code:
Query query= QueryFactory.create(queryString);
QueryExecution qexec= QueryExecutionFactory.sparqlService("http://lod.openlinksw.com/sparql", queryString);
ResultSet results = qexec.execSelect();
List<QuerySolution> list = ResultSetFormatter.toList(results);
System.out.println(list.get(i).get("churchname"));
Hi,
I have some PHP code that sends a section of html code including some inline Javascript code by curl to google. When i get it back from Google translated into the language that i chose, the Javascript code has been translated too.
Any ideas as to how i can stop Google translating my inline JavaScript code?
Thanks,
M
Hi all
I'd like to a suitable programming language/software that I can use to generate a report of PDF/DOC using a template of my choice. As I currently have to manually edit, add things in report, I like to automate it by softwares.
Thank you.
I hv problem in creating New Framework project on Zend Studio.I'm new to Zend Studio. Using Zend Studio ver.7.1.0.
When i'm creating new zend framwork project (Zend Server is successfully installed), It will not create 'application' & 'public' folders. In my previous test project those were created automatically. But now its create only
- Javascript Resources
- PHP Include Path
- PHP Language Library
:( Some can help me?
Thanx!

I had made some questions regarding php-gtk(there are only 4 php-gtk tagged questions and 3 are mine) and I end up answering myself because no one answer them.
I know is a strange language selection but I was attracted to it because it runs on several OS's and the fact that I can reuse some of my code (also the apps end up looking good and I can make little installers in NSIS that just rocks).
Is there a better alternative, that is free(as freedom) and can run on several platforms?
I'd like to write a wxPython application that would run in different languages, updating itself automatically (with no need to close it and open it back) whenever I change the language.
Is it possible to make a system that recognises and edits every widget that needs to be updated?
I'm interested in literature (articles on internet, in magazines, books, podcasts - I don't really mind anything) that describes how PHP works internally, about its gotchas and perhaps some advanced functions. Is there anything like this out there? I tried to search on Google, but majority of articles were about starting with PHP and its basic functions.
Any input is really welcome as I'm trying to understand the language internally - I'm tired of my mindless typing of code without understanding its essence.
I know there is one, but it's not easy to implement the way I want.
I would like to know the steps to interpret the lisp language and what functions are essential to be implemented.
I am trying to update language specific text files ("po files") for Ubercart, but it is unclear who/where these files are maintained. There are several places sited but I am not sure which is maintained?
http://ftp.drupal.org/files/translations/6.x/ubercart/
http://l10n.privnet.biz/translation_group/
Also a description of how to do this in Drupal. In Drupal (link: admin/build/translate/import) there are several text groups to select. Do I have to repeat update for each group?
If I have a 2D array that is arranged as follows :
String X[][] = new String [][] {{"127.0.0.9", "60", "75000","UDP", "Good"},
{"127.0.0.8", "75", "75000","TCP", "Bad"},
{"127.0.0.9", "75", "70000","UDP", "Good"},
{"127.0.0.1", "", "70000","UDP", "Good"},
{"127.0.0.1", "75", "75000","TCP", "Bad"}
};
I want to know the frequency of each value .. so I27.0.0.9 gets 2. How can I do a general solution for this ? In Java or any algorithm for any language ?
