  Hello, I have jquery tabs like <ul id="tabsList"> <li><a href="#tab-1">Name 1</a></li> <li><a href="#tab-2">Name 2</a></li> <li><a href="http://www.google.com/">Name 3</a></li> </ul> <div id="tab-1">content 1</div> <div id="tab-2">content 2</div> the first two tabs load the respective divs. But the third one should go to google.com, instead it does nothing. It just adds http://example.com/index.html#ui-tabs-[object Object] to the url. I am developing a wordpress plugin and the admin page needs a tab interface. I tested this in a local server and not working update: i don't want to load google.com inside the page. It should open the webpage in new tab/window like ordinary links do.

• Creating dynamic jQuery tooltips for dynamic content

  I'm using the qTip jQuery plugin to create tooltips for a set of links. Two problems: How do I create a set of tooltips for three dynamically generated links where the content of the tooltip will also be dynamic: a href="books.cfm?bookID=11"Book One a href="books.cfm?bookID=22"Book Two a href="books.cfm?bookID=33"Book Three I would like to create a tooltip for each link. Each tooltip will then load details about each book. Thus I must pass the bookID to the tooltip: $('#catalog a[href]').each(function() { $(this).qtip( { content: { URL: 'cfcs/viewbooks.cfc?method=bookDetails', data: { bookID: <cfoutput>#indexView.bookID#</cfoutput> }, method: 'get' } }); }); Unfortunately the above code is not working correctly. I've gotten it to work when I've used a static 'bookID' instead of a dynamically generated number. Even when it does work (by using a static number for 'bookID', I can't format the data correctly. It comes back as a query result, or a bunch of text strings. Should I send back the results as HTML? Unsure. PS: I am an absolute NOVICE to Javascript and jQuery, so please try not to be as technical. Many thanks!

  I had been using Netbeans all the while to develop Swing application. So far, I am a Happy Netbeans User Currently, I had a project (GWT, J2EE and Swing), which I need to use Eclipse (Please do not ask Why) Here is the step I had been taken. Download Eclipse IDE for Java EE Developers (190 MB) from http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/ I thought this should be the correct choice, as I see most features are found in that edition http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/packages/compare-packages After struggling a while to get use to the user interface of Eclipse, I still cannot find a Visual GUI Editor! • jQuery Address - redirect after form submit

  Hello all, I use jQuery and AJAX to load content from links and forms into a content div. In addition I use the Address plugin to enable the back button and refresh. On the server side I use Java and Spring MVC. Since I'm using jQuery Address and AJAX the only page that is directly loaded is "index.html". Everything else is loaded into a content div, and what page to load is specified in the hash, ie. "index.html#/users/add.html" will load "users/add.html". Now, "users/add.html" contains a form for creating a new user. When the form is submitted and everything went OK, the controller redirects to "users/index.html". The problem is that jQuery Address doesn't know about the redirect, so the url will remain "index.html#/users/add.html". And this is a problem when you refresh the page and then get sent back to the form, instead of the index page. Is there a way to fix this problem? Thanks, Stian

• What IDE setup and workflow is used for OSGi development?

  I made quite a few easy OSGi test projects in Eclipse RCP. My typical workflow would always be: Make 3 different projects: APIproject, Clientproject and Serverproject Edit the MANIFEST.MF of APIproject to export the api package Edit the MANIFEST.MF file of Clientproject and Serverproject to add the required API package Choose "Run as..." "Plugin Framework" OSGi console starts in eclipse and everything seems to work I also tried wiring things by using Declarative Services, which worked well like this too. Now recently I wanted to try out iPOJO. The problem is that I get the feeling that I've been doing my OSGi development the wrong way. Can it be that I should instead make 1 project en make it work like no OSGi is involved. And then afterwards, just export each package to its own bundle by means of (for instance) the BNDL tool? Should development be done in a normal Eclipse (java, not RCP) or any other java IDE for that matter? So that's why I have these questions: What IDE setup is normally used to develop OSGi with iPOJO? And what is the normal workflow to be used when developing OSGi projects (maybe with iPOJO)?

• Multi-accordion help (CSS issue maybe?)

  So, I've been trying to develop this multi-accordion news section for this site. It's actually all working, thanks to an insightful plugin. I've modified it a little bit so it works as I want it to, but I've run into two issues, one which is possibly CSS. Issue #1: The idea for the user is that when they view this page, they see all the recent headlines. They can also see who it has been posted by and how many comments have been made to this article. If they wish, they can then click on the headline and the field will expand into the article. They can then either make a comment or view the comments via clicking the View Comments link or clicking the "number of comments" link in the "Posted by..." area (a shortcut to the comments basically). The problem I'm having is if I make the AUTHOR or the "0" comments a link, it breaks the accordion because the accordion uses an A CLASS to open it up. I'm looking for a fix, I've tried making it a H1 or a DIV but that also breaks it. Issue #2: This is a pretty picky one, but when you click the headline it expands, but at least in Firefox (haven't tested it in Chrome yet) the text jumps from the right and to the left, locking in place from which the CSS tells it to (padding-left). I don't know why it's exactly doing that, if anyone has any insight on that, it'd be appreciated. A two-parter to this issue is when you open the Headline to the article and then decide to close the article by clicking on the Headline, parts of the accordion jumps from the darker purple to the light purple before the task is finished. I'm also interested fixing this, but this issue in its entirety are all pretty nit picky things. • Wordpress display featured posts outside of loop

  Im new to WP and Im not real sure how to work with the loop. • How to speed up the reading of innerHTML in IE8?

  I am using JQuery with the DataTable plugin, and now I have a big performnce issue on the following line. aLocalData[jInner] = nTds[j].innerHTML; // jquery.dataTables.js:2220 I have a ajax call, and result string in HTML format. I convert them into HTML nodes, and that part is ok. var $result = $('<div/>').html(result).find("*:first"); // simlar to $result=$(result) but much more faster in Fx Then I activate enable the result from a plain table to a sortable datatable. The speed is acceptable in Fx (around 4sec for 900 rows), but unacceptable in IE8 (more then 100 seconds). • jQuery XML loading and then innerfade effect

  Hello, I think I can explain myself without code, so for brevity's sake here we go: I am using jquery to pull data from an xml and put it into a ul on the page with each xml entry as a li. This is working great! However, what I am trying to do afterwards is use the innerfade plugin to make a simple animation between each of the li's. It's not working though, as it is still just loading the static list with each item visible (whereas if innerfade was working it would only display the first....then fade into the second, etc) It's not an innerfade problem however, because if I add the list in manually to the page (not injecting it with jquery) then the innerfade works fine. I'm relatively new to DOM scripting, so I think I am missing something here. I'm not quite sure how jQuery sequences everything, and I'm having trouble phrasing my question in a search engine friendly manner so here I am. Is it possible to have jquery pull the data from xml, then inject it into the page, then have innerfade work it's magic? • Rails - handling global site settings

  I'm developing a new rails application which is supposed to be installed several times in order to implement several sites. There are some things, like the "Site Title" or the "Default Number of Items per Page" that clearly belong to a "global settings" table / config file. I've made a list of the things I think I'll need: ActiveRecord model that is capable of: Storing different kinds of data. I suppose this would be accomplished encoding the values on a string on the db, probably with a "type" field. Indexing settings by name Validations based on a "type" attribute (i.e. don't accept invalid dates on "date" settings) Validations based on a allows_nil property. A controller that allows me to change settings via views. I'm pretty sure I could implement this myself, but I'm not willing to reinvent the wheel. I've done some searching, but I could only find rails-settings, which doesn't really serve me: I need a proper model & controller so I can use declarative-authorization, and it does not provide any controller or view facilities. Is there a gem or plugin out there that implements what I want, or any library I should look at? Thanks a lot.

• Problem with DSL and Business Rules creation in Drools

  Hi, I am using Eclipse with the Drools plugin to create rules. I want to create business rules and main aim is to try and provide the user a set of options which he can use to create rules. For eg:If an Apple can have only 3 colors: I want to provide an option like a drop down so that the user can know before hand which are the options he can use in his rules. Is it possible? I am creating a dsl but unable to still provide the above functionality for a business rule. I am having an error implementing a basic dsl also.   I'm having a trouble to get Geolocation working on Android in both emulator (even when I geo fix over telnet) and on device. Works on iOS, WP8 and in the browser. When I ask device for location using the following code, I always get an error (in my case custom Retrieving your position failed for unknown reason. with null both error code and error message). • Axis2 Webservice -> php

  Hi! If I have understood Axis2 correct i can construct a WebService and then access it with any SOAP compatible client. I have a java class with a couple of methods that I have written in Eclipse, and then automatically constructed a service with the Axis2 plugin from WTP. This is the methods of my class. public int test(int i){ return i+2; } public Car CarTest(int speed){ return new Car("Biltest", speed); } public CarFactoryAdapter getCarFactory(){ carFact.getCars().add(new Car("Bmw", 250)); carFact.getCars().add(new Car("seat", 350)); carFact.getCars().add(new Car("saab", 150)); carFact.getCars().add(new Car("volv", 50)); return new CarFactoryAdapter(carFact); } The code seems to work when I try it with soapUI and the Axis2-web interface has recognized the methods of my service. But when Iam trying the methods that receives parameters with PHP´s built in soapClient i get a Unknown exception. The getCarFactory methods works at least as expected, but it seems kind of crippled if I can´t send parameters. • Eclipse won't believe I have Maven 2.2.1

  I have a project (built from an AppFuse template) that requires Maven 2.2.1. So I upgraded to this (from 2.1.0) and set my path and my M2_HOME and MAVEN_HOME env variables. Then I ran mvn eclipse:eclipse and imported the project into Eclipse (Galileo). However, in the problems list for the project (and at the top of the pom.xml GUI editor) it says: Unable to build project '/export/people/clegg/data/GanymedeWorkspace/funcserve/pom.xml; it requires Maven version 2.2.1 (Please ignore 'GanymedeWorkspace', I really am using Galileo!) This persists whether I set Eclipse to use its Embedded Maven implementation, or the external 2.2.1 installation, in the Preferences - Maven - Installations dialog. I've tried closing and reopening the project, reindexing the repository, cleaning the project, restarting the IDE, logging out and back in again, everything I can think of! But Eclipse still won't believe I have Maven 2.2.1. I just did a plugin update so I have the latest version of Maven Integration for Eclipse -- 0.9.8.200905041414. Does anyone know how to convince Eclipse I really do have the right version of Maven? It's like it's recorded the previous version somewhere else and won't pay any attention to my changes :-( Many thanks! Andrew.

  Hey people Okay, what I'm trying to accomplish is a simple tool tip that, when you hover over the name of a color, shows a little image of that color. But when you hover over the text the little thumbnail shows up and makes it easy to recognize the color. The problem is I haven't got a clue how to get the src for the thumbnail. I don't know how to extract the src from the img inside the selected element. I've tried various combinations using the this keyword, but nothing seemed to work. I've also tried to add the src path as a rel attribute to the label, but also without any success. Should be needless to say I also control the PHP-output... I really hope you can help me. My problem is that I need to do a preg_replace on my $article-text, but I don't know how to then apply the changes to the matched terms. • spam and dirty words comment post filtering in python (django)

  Hi All, My basic question is how to filter spam and dirty words in a comment post system under python (django). I have a collection of phrases (approximately 3000 phrases) to be filtered. Question (1), are there any existing open source python (or django) package/module/plugin which can handle this job? I knew there was one called Akismet. But from what I understood, it will not solve my problem. Akismet is just a web service and filter the words dictionary defined by Akismet. But I have my own collection of words. Please correct me if I am wrong. Question (2), If there is no such open source package I can use, how to create my own one? The only thing I can think of it's to use regular expression and join all the word phrases with 'or' in a regular expression. but I have 3000 phrases, I think it won't work in term of performance and filter every comment post. any suggestions where should I start from? • jQuery loading issues within wordpress

  I am having a couple problems trying to manually insert some jQuery features into a wordpress theme. I have a lightbox wordpress plugin that is jQuery based that is working fine. So if I manually load the jQuery script into wordpress the functions seem to work but instead of say a slide being hidden it is revealed when it should still be hidden. Or a pop up that should work is already being shown instead of hidden.   Firstly, I went here ( http://code.google.com/p/struts2-examples/downloads/list and I downloaded Hello_World_Struts2_Mvn.zip) and I run that example. • Text editor(FCKEditor) ruby on rails/ PHP

  I have an application that is running on Rials so now I want to add the text editor(FCKEditor/TinyMCE) to adit text/uploading images on website. I have google the internet until I got FCKeditor for Rails(http://rubyforge.org/projects/fckeditorp/) "which has a function of uploading pictures but ones you uploaded the images you can't delete/rename them :( " I tried to look for another solution and I got another FCKEditor - Ajax File Manager plugin for PHP(it works fine on my Rails Application) but the problem is I need some information from rails to use it in php e.g: session for the current login user. 1.) is there anyone got an Idea on how to get those Ruby sessions in php script? 2.) I looked at saving it in javascript session and access it in php via javascript cause both can talk to Javascript. 3.) or is there any Rails text editor which has a functionality of uploading/deleting the images? 4.) Or any better way of doing this... cause the only thing I need is the text editor that will allow me to uploaded/delete images NOt via the url but the one that will save the images on the server. • My perl script is acting funny...

  I am trying to make a jabber bot from scratch and my script is acting funny. I was originally developing the bot on a remote CentOS box, but I have switched to a local Win7 machine. Right now I'm using ActiveState Perl and I'm using Eclipse with the perl plugin to run a debug the script. The funny behavior I'm experiencing occurs when I run or debug the script. If I run the script using the debugger it works fine, meaning I can send messages to the bot and it can send messages to me. However when I just execute the script normally the bot sends the successful connection message then it disconnects from my jabber server and the script ends. I'm a novice when it comes to perl and I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. My guess is it has something to do with the subroutines and sending the presence of the bot. (I know for sure that it has something to do with sending the bot's presence because if the presence code is removed, the script behaves as expected except the bot doesn't appear to be online.) If anyone can help me with this that would be great.
