  • Display two independent Tumblr blogs on one page?

    - by Jake Salvera
I'd like to display two independent Tumblr blogs next to each other on one page. I'd like them to look identical to their Tumblr theme. What's the best way to do this? I'm able to use JavaScript to import the content like this: <div id="tumblr1"> <script type="text/javascript" src="http://tumblr1.tumblr.com/js"></script> <div> <div id="tumblr2"> <script type="text/javascript" src="http://tumblr2.tumblr.com/js"></script> <div> But the content obviously won't be styled. Is there a simpler way to do this? If not, is there a simple way to style the content I'm getting from the js?

  • Styling a hr for internet explorer

    - by Qwibble
Hey, in my quest to create as image light a site as possible, I'm looking to create two tone hr's. I've achieved this in modern browsers, but want to achieve the same effect in ie6 and 7. The current code I am using is hr { border-bottom:1px solid #FFFFFF; border-top:1px solid #dcdcdc; clear:both; height:0; border-left:0px; border-right:0px; } I've tried, with no success to make this work in ie6 and 7 without having to target the browsers specifically. Any thoughts? (Heres my current project where I am employing this code, and looking to make it cross browser - http://www.qwibbledesigns.co.uk/preview/aurelius/ ) Cheers Matt

  • How do I get ASP.NET login status controls to display a Log In option?

    - by Greg McNulty
I have the following log in status controls on the top of my master page. It displays the logged in as, manager log in, and Log out options. However, when a user is not logged in, there is nothing displayed there. When the user is NOT logged in, is there a way to display a "Login" text link that takes you to the log in page and then "disappears" once the user is logged in? Any help is appreciated. Thanks! <asp:LoginName ID="LoginName1" runat="server" FormatString="Logged in as {0}" ForeColor="Aqua" /> <asp:LoginView ID="LoginView1" runat="server"> <RoleGroups> <asp:RoleGroup Roles="Managers"> <ContentTemplate> <asp:HyperLink ID="HyperLink1" runat="server" NavigateUrl="~/Management/management.aspx">Manage Site</asp:HyperLink> or <asp:LoginStatus id="LoginStatus1" runat="server" /> </ContentTemplate> </asp:RoleGroup> </RoleGroups> <LoggedInTemplate> (<asp:LoginStatus id="LoginStatus1" runat="server" />) </LoggedInTemplate> </asp:LoginView> ASP.NET 3.5 VWD 2008 C#

  • Include error in writing html file from php

    - by Grozav Alex Ioan
I seem to have some problem with my code here. It creates a file from the php file, but I get an error on the include path. include('../include/config.php'); $name = ($_GET['createname']) ? $_GET['createname'] : $_POST['createname']; function buildhtml($strphpfile, $strhtmlfile) { ob_start(); include($strphpfile); $data = ob_get_contents(); $fp = fopen ($strhtmlfile, "w"); fwrite($fp, $data); fclose($fp); ob_end_clean(); } buildhtml('portfolio.php?name='.$name, "../gallery/".$name.".html"); The problem seems to be here: 'portfolio.php?name='.$name Any way I can replace this, and still send the variable over? Here's the error I get when I put ?name after the php extension: Warning: include(portfolio.php?name=hyundai) [function.include]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in D:\Projects\Metro Web\Coding\admin\create.php on line 15 Warning: include(portfolio.php?name=hyundai) [function.include]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in D:\Projects\Metro Web\Coding\admin\create.php on line 15 Warning: include() [function.include]: Failed opening 'portfolio.php?name=hyundai' for inclusion (include_path='.;C:\php\pear') in D:\Projects\Metro Web\Coding\admin\create.php on line 15

  • F# and statically checked union cases

    - by Johan Jonasson
Soon me and my brother-in-arms Joel will release version 0.9 of Wing Beats. It's an internal DSL written in F#. With it you can generate XHTML. One of the sources of inspiration have been the XHTML.M module of the Ocsigen framework. I'm not used to the OCaml syntax, but I do understand XHTML.M somehow statically check if attributes and children of an element are of valid types. We have not been able to statically check the same thing in F#, and now I wonder if someone have any idea of how to do it? My first naive approach was to represent each element type in XHTML as a union case. But unfortunately you cannot statically restrict which cases are valid as parameter values, as in XHTML.M. Then I tried to use interfaces (each element type implements an interface for each valid parent) and type constraints, but I didn't manage to make it work without the use of explicit casting in a way that made the solution cumbersome to use. And it didn't feel like an elegant solution anyway. Today I've been looking at Code Contracts, but it seems to be incompatible with F# Interactive. When I hit alt + enter it freezes. Just to make my question clearer. Here is a super simple artificial example of the same problem: type Letter = | Vowel of string | Consonant of string let writeVowel = function | Vowel str -> sprintf "%s is a vowel" str I want writeVowel to only accept Vowels statically, and not as above, check it at runtime. How can we accomplish this? Does anyone have any idea? There must be a clever way of doing it. If not with union cases, maybe with interfaces? I've struggled with this, but am trapped in the box and can't think outside of it.

  • <optgroup label='-------'></optgroup> gives xhtml validation eror

    - by user266307
Error: End tag for 'optgroup' which is not finished. You have probably failed to include a required child element. Hence the parent element is "not finished", not complete. I want to achieve something like this in select options. USA UK -- Afghanistan I want to put few important countries on top and then a non-selectable divider and then ordered list of remaining countries. I put this divider using empty 'optgroup'. While it works perfectly in all browser, I get validation error. What could be other approaches?

  • datatables.net plugin hides table behind left menu

    - by naveen
I had a page that works perfectly in IE. Then I added the wonderful jQuery plugin datatables.net to it using this code in DOMReady with this code $('#articlestable-container table').dataTable({ "bPaginate": true, "bLengthChange": false, "bFilter": true, "bSort": false, "bInfo": false, "bAutoWidth": false }); Everything is fine in Webkit and Firefox browsers. See the image. But in IE, the table hides the menu that ideally should come over the table like this. As you can see, the sub-menu gets rendered behind the table. I don't think z-index is the culprit here. The sub-menu has z-index: 9999; anyway. What could be wrong? Any pointers to solve this will be very helpful.

  • How to rewrite the URL

    - by Kalpana
I have a small application built using Seam 2.2, Richfaces 3.3, JBoss 5.1. Most of the page navigation adds the request parameters to the target URL. I would like to hide parameters to be hidden to the customer who is using the application (e.g. I would expect the URL to be something like "http://localhost:8080/books/Book.seam". The parameters (userId, orderId and cmId) are currently mapped to the backend bean via Book.page.xml. How do I prevent the request parameters from showing up in the browser URL, as it also allows the customer to manipulate the URL. We did look at seam URL re-writing feature, it talked about manipulating say the primary key id in a REST format, not sure how to accomplish something more complex like the above use case in a elegant fashion.

  • jQuery Text to Link Script?

Does anyone know of a script that can select all text references to URLs and automatically replace them with anchor tags pointing to those locations? For example: http://www.google.com would automatically turn into <a href="http://www.google.com">http://www.google.com</a> Note: I am wanting this because I don't want to go through all my content and wrap them with anchor tags.

  • Embedding a YouTube Video Based on a PHP Variable

    - by jeffpm
I have a website that I am creating for a class project. The website shows information about bands (which is stored in a mysql database). I am trying to spruce up the site a bit, and I would like to embed a YouTube video based on the band's name. Say, for instance, I have "Led Zeppelin" stored in my database. How can I take a PHP variable containing "Led Zeppelin", search YouTube using that variable, find a random video, and then embed that in the website? From the research I've done, it seems you can only embed YouTube videos if you know the exact address of the video. Thanks!

  • Select box is not working properly after including google custom search box in web page

    - by Vinay
I have got a select box and google custom search box in a page, when i choose a option from select box and navigate away from the page and again if i come back to the same page the option will not be selected (violates the default functionality of select box), The code is below <script src="https://www.google.com/jsapi" type="text/javascript"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> google.load('search', '1', {language : 'en'}); google.setOnLoadCallback(function() { var customSearchControl = new google.search.CustomSearchControl('004920913350056953771:kpkclvhujzk'); customSearchControl.setResultSetSize(google.search.Search.FILTERED_CSE_RESULTSET); var options = new google.search.DrawOptions(); options.setAutoComplete(true); options.enableSearchboxOnly("<?=$homeurl?>my_results.php", "query"); customSearchControl.draw('cse-search-form', options); }, true); </script> <select multiple="yes"> <option>1</option> <option>2</option> </select> If i remove the custom search script, the select box selected option will be retained even after navigating away from the page. (default functionality) Its working fine in chrome, IE but not in Firefox. Is there any solution for this, so that select box must work fine even in the presence of search box, but the order must be same 1) Search box 2)Select Box

  • How can I find out if an data- attribute is set to an empty value?

    - by Stephan Wagner
Is there a way to find out if an data- attribute is set to an empty value or if it is not set at all? See this fiddle example (Check the console when clicking on the elements): http://jsfiddle.net/StephanWagner/yy8qvwfp/ <div onclick="console.log($(this).attr('data-test'))">undefined</div> <div data-test="" onclick="console.log($(this).attr('data-test'))">empty</div> <!-- this one will also return an empty value --> <div data-test onclick="console.log($(this).attr('data-test'))">null</div> <div data-test="value" onclick="console.log($(this).attr('data-test'))">value</div> Im having the issue with the third example. I need to know if the attribute actually is set to an empty value or if it is not set at all. Is that actually possible? EDIT: The reason I'm asking is that I'm updating content with the attributes value, so data-test="" should update the content to an empty value, but data-test should do nothing at all

  • Change column height as other column gets longer

    - by Infiniti Fizz
Hi, I have tried a few things to solve this problem but I can't seem to get it working. The problem is that I have 2 columns as the main part of my website, right and left. On some pages, there is a lot of text in the left column, therefore it is very long, the problem is that the right column doesn't elongate with the left column. Both columns have the same background colour and a footer s displayed across the width of both columns after the columns finish. My first thought was to put both columns inside a div which would have the same background colour as them and therefore if the left column became 1500px long in total and the right column stayed at around 600px (due to the elements inside it) then this wouldn't show as the new, outer div would elongate along with the left column. But for some reason this didn't work. Could it be because the columns are floated? Does anyone have any other ideas? Here is the website (Obviously not finished yet): Beansheaf Hotel I have chosen a page where there is a lot of text in the left column so the problem is apparent. Thanks in advance, InfinitiFizz

  • Make DIV fill remainder of page vertically?
