Hi,
I/m developing JSP/Servlets App,and I want to execute a service at a specific time , for example :
For each day at 10:00 AM , delete any
attachment from the "attachment" table
in the database where column X== NULL.
How can I do this in JSP/Servlets application ?
I use Glassfish as a server .
I can access my linux box by ssh and by vnc. I want to run a GUI application, but directly from ssh, I don't want to access through VNC and click around. So, after logging in using ssh, I want to issue a magic command, so that when I log in through VNC I will see my GUI app running. How can I do this?
I need to code a simple form application and I want to make it easy to deploy (without installing libraries or dependencies), I don't want to use visual studio cpp or csharp because clr apps compile with .net frameworks and I have no much experience with mfc and dialogs.
So I was wondering which libraries does a simple delphi vcl forms app (those using TForm) use, because I've never had to install anything to run simple delphi apps.
How to produce an iphone app which calculates the battery status? Is there a particular API that i need to use?
Has anyone got a link to any online tutorials?
The desktop app should start the web server on launch and should shut it down on close.
Assuming that the desktop is the only client allowed to connect to the web server, what is the best way to write this?
I know a site can have many apps but all the examples I see have the site called "mysite". I figured the site would be the name of your site, like StackOverflow for example.
Would you do that and then have apps like "authentication", "questions", and "search"? Or would you really just have a site called mysite with one app called StackOverflow?
I am looking to add a browse button to a visual studio app something simular to the the dialog box in the 'fileupload' tool. I am looking to be able to graphically select any file from my computer or a computer across a network. Can anyone help. Thanks in advance.
If I have several OS-X Terminal.app windows open, how can I move one Terminal window to another space?
I'm happy to use any scripting or programming language to achieve this, but would prefer AppleScript or calls to standard frameworks.
(Note this is to move only one window of an application not all windows.)
I am an indian resident. Developers in India cant sell android apps on android market. Can anybody enlighten me with any other legal means through which i can sell my apps on android market.
I have my cousin who is an US citizen, residing in california. Is it possible to sell my app using her as my proxy. Please do ask me if i was not clear enough.
Hi there,
Is there a way to change the name that displays on the AppStore, rather than the name associated with the credit card/apple ID associated with the developer programme?
For example, if my name on my credit card was foo, and the name on the apple ID was foo, but I actually want the name displayed on the AppStore (i.e. next to my App's name and details) to be bar.
BTW: The programme is individual.
Many thanks,
Jack
ex) Authenticate users on their desktop app from a server.
Questions about server: Do I have to use Tomcat ? Are there any other solutions ? could I even use Apache ?
I have an app that I want to be launchable either explicitly when tapped or when a parameterized URL is clicked on on a webpage in Safari running on iPad or iPhone.
Can someone sketch the approach for me and/or point me to the relevant docs? Thanks so much.
Cheers,
Doug
I am developing a game with Unity 3D and want to use custom code to get strings in the various languages I will be supporting. I've read articles about using the Android "res/values-xx/" directories (such as this page: http://developer.android.com/training/basics/supporting-devices/languages.html). If I do not store my translated strings in this way is there a downside? My main concern is whether the Google Play store may not know what languages my app is localized for.
J2SE Client Server App: Client calls RMI message. Server handles RMI method and returns, but Client never receives it.
Any ideas how this could happen? Our attempted solution is to set client read timeouts and come up with a framework for resending requests or otherwise handling those failures gracefully.
But really, I'd like to know any root causes for how this might happen rather than addressing the symptoms.
Looking in Process Explorer it uses; Virtual Size: 550,000k , Working Set: 28000k
Why does my simple hello world console app use so much memory?
I take it the difference between the Working Set and Virtual Size means that difference will be paged to disk?
/I am running 64 bit XP.
Thanks
class Program
{
static void Main(string[] args)
{
Console.WriteLine("Hello world");
Console.ReadLine();
}
}
Hello,
I am using the .NET 4.0 client profile for my app and I run a dual core with 4 GB Ram and a fast hard disk.
nothing big is done at the start just showing a generic List in a wpf listview.
How can I make the cold start faster of my assembly ?
I use AVAudioPlayer to play an mp3 file to a user within my iPhone app. This all works fine and dandy. I even update a PLAY/PAUSED button depending on the state of the player. But it would be nice to know how much longer the song will play.
So How do I show the time remaining?
I need to find a receipt scanner (Similar to the Neat Receipts scanner) that can be portable and that has an API which I can integrate into my app. I also need a PEN barcode scanner with a modifiable API. IF you know of any one of these items, I would sure appreciate some feedback.
Simply, I would like to have an iPhone app that logs in to a web server with inputted username and password values and then maintains this login, so that the user can POST data to the server.
Is this just an issue of using cookies? If so, how do you perform a check to verify the user is logged in?
Thanks.
When I view my app's memory in the xcode memory tool, i see that something called QuartzCore is reported as leaking many times. Each leak ranges from 16-80 bytes.
My code is not referencing this. it's all from withing UIApplicationMain(). So I'm not sure how to control this. Any ideas?
Thank you.
The com.google.gwt.app.place package is new in GWT 2.1 which came out yesterday. Do you have any example on that API? How do I effectively use it? The GWT samples does't help at all.
With my current code base I'd like to build two or more different versions of my Android app (free, premium, ...). For the iPhone (XCode) I can definte different targets. Is there something similar implemented in Eclipse?
Basically I want to build a web app that will try windows authentication and if authentication fails then will provide the user with a login form ?
I do not want to have different web apps for different authentication modes.
Is this possible ? Did I missed some points about this ?
