  • Edit and Continue in Silverlight?

    Edit-And-Continue is one of my favorite debugging tools which I have previously used on C# based Winforms and ASP.NET projects. However, I'm running a Silverlight 3.0 application on VS 2008 and whenever I try to make a change (after breaking) it says "Changes are not allowed when debugging Silverlight applications". Also there isn't an "Enable Edit and Continue" option in the project settings. Does anyone (possibly an insider) know when this feature will be supported by Microsoft??? (I NEED IT!)

    I have a power function call inside of a sql function. What is the correct way to handle overflow and underflow conditions since I cannot use a Try Catch inside of a function. I am also trying to avoid modifying the ARITHABORT, ANSI_WARNINGS, and ARITHIGNORE settings in the calling code.   • Unclickable Seekbar in android listview

    Hi, I have a Listview in my application. Listview rows are clickable. I have introduced a seek bar in each row of a Listview. Despite settings android:clickable="false" for Seekbar in layout xml, I am still able to click on it and move seek bar as desired. I don't want Seekbar to be clickbale but I do want Listview row to clickable. Any pointers will be appreciated.

  • Ctrl-Backspace Visual Studio 2010

    I recently upgraded to Visual Studio 2010 and found out that when i press Ctrl-Backspace on a empty line it will delete the line, which is what it did in 2008, but then it will also delete the last character on the line above. I have tried to see if there is any settings anywhere but i cant seem to find any. Does anyone know if you can change this or did they make it default in 2010 Im using C#, if that makes a difference.

    At first, I was not able to build a new blank project to iPhone using the new XCode 3.2 beta. I edited the project settings and was able to build the blank app to iPhone simulator. However, when I open the nib for the project in IB and click the view, it opens an iPad size view. How do I get the right sized view to work on in IB?

  • Set default browser when debugging WPF?

    I'm using VWD Express 2008 to develop a WPF Browser Application. When I start debugging, it launches the XBAP in my default browser, which is Opera. Obviously, XBAPs don't work in Opera, so I have to repeatedly right-click on the document to open in IE. Is there any way to change the settings for PresentationHost.exe so that it always opens with IE? A registry setting, perhaps?

    My eclipse flipped out, and now will not run any of my Android projects, all of which were working fine before. If I try to right click and run as Android project, nothing happens. If I go to properties of the project and go to run/debug settings and try to create a new one, I get an error dialog that says 'Update LCD' has encountered a problem. An internal error has occured.     I'm in the process of settings up a website (I'm using DJango) to begin selling some toys I build and need a way of calculating shipping costs for my customers. Are there any (preferably free) shipping calculators which accept a customers address and return the cost for different delivery companies / delivery options? It would be nice if the API could indicate cost vs delivery time. We'll be shipping world-wide if that makes a difference?

  • Sharepoint 2007 calculated Date field shows incorrectly in non-US region

    If a SharePoint user (with Regional Settings set to UK) views a calculated date field in a View details form, the field shows incorrectly. I am using: ddwrt:FormatDateTime(string(@RenewalDate), 1033, 'dd MMMM yyyy') Which shows 04 January 2010 for 01/04/2010 and, doesnt show unresolvable dates such as 31-Dec-2010. This applies even with a simnple =[Modified] formula The Server is set up in the US for that locale.

    I am having a problem using Internet Explorer 8 (IE8) to open mailto links with long messages.   • Jerky Silverlight 4 animations when running app in OOB

    I was playing with new Silverlight 4 and to my surprise when I run my sample application in OOB all animations become very jerky when I move mouse around during animations, but when I run my app in browser animations are smooth even when moving mouse around. I tried my app on two different computers, turned on GPU acceleration in OOB settings - and got the same jerky result. Is this a know problem with Silverlight?

  • Using Large Lists

    In an Outlook AddIn I'm working on, I use a list to grab all the messages in the current folder, then process them, then save them. First, I create a list of all messages, then I create another list from the list of messages, then finally I create a third list of messages that need to be moved. Essentially, they are all copies of eachother, and I made it this way to organize it. Would it increase performance if I used only one list? I thought lists were just references to the actual item.
