  • Pattern for verifying authenticity of a request to WCF service

    I have a client app that makes calls to a WCF service. This app is on a public computer that's easily accessible and anyone can easily copy the .EXE and .CONFIG of my app into another machine and start using it. Is there a pattern where I can check if the request is coming only from an app on a computer I installed it on and not on one it has been copied to? Thanks in advance.

    Hey everyone, Is there any way to change the order of the columns phppgadmin views when browsing tables without having to change the underlying db? I have a few columns that I want seperated by heaps of unimportant ones and then a few more important ones at the end. The problem is that the important ones on the right are way of the screen so its hard to check visually if data has been inputed correctly. Cheers

    I've developed an app using the 3.1.3 SDK and I want to set the deployment target to OS 3.0. The app uses iPod functionality which I can't test on the Simulator so my question is: Is there somewhere I can find a list of the changes from 3.0 to 3.1.3 so I can check if anything might be broken on an OS 3.0 device? I've looked on Apple's website obviously but can't find anything. How do people normally test on old software releases?

    I am stuck on how to create tags for each post on my site. I am not sure how to add the tags into database. Currently... I have 3 tables: +---------------------+ +--------------------+ +---------------------+ | Tags | | Posting | | PostingTags | +---------------------+ +--------------------+ +---------------------+ | + TagID | | + posting_id | | + posting_id | +---------------------+ +--------------------+ +---------------------+ | + TagName | | + title | | + tagid | +---------------------+ +--------------------+ +---------------------+ The Tags table is just the name of the tags(ex: 1 PHP, 2 MySQL,3 HTML) The posting (ex: 1 What is PHP?, 2 What is CSS?, 3 What is HTML?) The postingtags shows the relation between posting and tags. When users type a posting, I insert the data into the "posting" table. It automatically inserts the posting_id for each post(posting_id is a primary key). $title = mysqli_real_escape_string($dbc, trim($_POST['title'])); $query4 = "INSERT INTO posting (title) VALUES ('$title')"; mysqli_query($dbc, $query4); HOWEVER, how do I insert the tags for each post? When users are filling out the form, there is a checkbox area for all the tags available and they check off whatever tags they want. (I am not doing where users type in the tags they want just yet) This shows each tag with a checkbox. Wnen i create new SL project and choose ASP.NET Web Site web project type all is ok, at my browser I see default template. But when I choose ASP.NET Web application, at running I get blank browser screen with js error: "Unhandled Error in Silverlight Application Code: 2104 Category: InitializeError Message: Could not download the Silverlight application.   • Logging in with webrat, celerity doesn't recognize that.

    I'm using cucumber with webrat, and I am just starting to integrate culerity/celerity. My webrat login steps have been working great, and I have them as a Background for many of my scenarios. The problem is that although I can log in successfully via webrat, my celerity specific step definitions don't seem to recognize that. I can check the session from the step def and it confirms that I have a valid user that is logged in. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

I'd like to separate core part from UI part, so at plugin com.site.plugin.ui I created Preferences page where I defined some preferences, which should be used by com.site.plugin.core. I check article at Eclipse site, but it is quite outdated, and linked bug also do not provide much info. So is it possible to do this using standard Eclipse mechanism, or I need use direct low-level API via package org.eclipse.core.runtime.preferences?
