• MVVM- Is there a way that I can get and set a textbox's text without using databinding?

  I need to be able to get and set the textbox's text, but I don't want every single change in the textbox's text to update a string in my viewmodel. It seems to me that binding a string to the textbox's text property would be nearly as inefficient as updating a string on a textbox's textchanged event or am I wrong?

  I have inherited a SSIS project. I have never worked with SSIS before, and the one thing that seems strange to me, is that there is no way to manage multiple configurations. For each SSIS package we have 3 delpoyment environments, DEV, UAT and PRODUCTION. At the moment I am having to edit the configuration for every package we deploy manually for each change (and there are a lot of packages). Does anyone know of a more graceful way to handle these configuration changes?

  Our local IT has our My Documents folder on a network path. This causes a problem from MSQL Server management studio as it saves it auto recovery information every 10 min it will lock up as its doing its save. I found where VS2008 saved its setting but I can not find out how to change it out of My Documents for this. Does anyone know where that setting is located?

• Why don't all XSLT templates get executed at once?

  Refer to: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1613454/retrieving-one-element-and-filter-by-another In the above linked posting, I don't understand why the two template blocks don't get executed upon in the incoming XML at the same time. As far I can can see, the XSL risks the second template executing for every Document element whether it is called with apply-templates or not. Could someone explain this to my stifled brain, please? (didnt do pngfix yet). The only one who is having problems is IE7 who shifts the whole navbar element to the right. Anyone knows how this is possible?

  My Visual Studio 2010 was working fine this morning (I run in in XP sP3 under Paralles) I restarted the entire laptop and I started getting this error. I even uninstalled VS2010, deleted the Visual Studio 20010 directory on the My Documents area and reinstalled it, and it is still giving me that error every time I try to start it. I'm not sure if stackoverflow is the place to ask it, but I am at my wits end trying to get this running again (trying to avoid rebuilding the entire Virtual PC) Does anyone know how to fix this?
