    After my Java un installation, my system settings were gone. When I click on my system settings, I am not getting anything. For a long back I re-install my Java, so i don't remember which command I used to un-install my Java. Now I am not able to see my date and time settings and my shared folders are also not in sharing. Can anybody tell to me what gone wrong in my Java un-installation and how can I get back them.

It is easily accessible from the GNOME desktop Places menu: I just click that Filesystem HDD icon on the Places menu and it is automatically mount as '/media/1326f40a-45df-4ec'. How do I make that partition re-mount as /home instead? (permanently, that is)

    I am unable to wake up my suspend Ubuntu 13.10. I click on suspend accidentally and HD led continues flash, but I tried to press any key keyboard, and CTL-ALT-PS R-E-I-S-U-B and power button, but can not wake up computer.   • How can I remove and re-install Unity?

    Unity is misbehaving after installing GLX Dock - HUD does not open with GLX Dock turned off and there are ugly shadows in the panel,three control buttons (close,minimise,maximise) and "Ubuntu Desktop" label when there are no apps running.I have to click the top panel to get the super key to open the dash. I have tried unity --reset and unity --replace commands ,but they do not help. Can I un-install and re-install Unity?

  • Dell Mini 10 Mouse Pad Problems

    After going from 10.04 - 10.10 (not upgraded, completely reinstalled because of upgrade issues) I found a weird problem with my mouse pad. Whenever I clicked on the left or right mouse buttons (integrated into the touch pad) when I released them, it seemed like it was detecting a double click and ended up choosing the option the mouse was hovering over. Has anyone else experienced issues like this, and if it is possible, could I fix it?

  • How can I have more clicks than page views in AdSense

    One of my AdSense ad units (in the new beta interface) occasionally says that I have more clicks than page views which gives a CTR of over 100%. Does anyone know how this happens? I'm assuming it has something to do with when a page view is recorded, versus when someone clicks, but it happens regularly enough (on a daily report) that it can't just be that a bunch of users click an ad before the page displays fully.

    Well i'm running 2 different distro's of linux right now and I decided to make my ubuntu partition my primary partition larger so I took 119.53 GiB out of my other distro's partition and it became unallocated and then I figured Gparted would when I right click on it to resize/move give me the option of using it to make another partition bigger but it did not so I went google searching online and in one post I saw it said you had to format the unallocated space so I formatted it to ext4 the same as my primary partition but still no options to add it to any thing what do I do?

  • Finding "Stuff" In OUM

    One of the first questions people asked when they start using the Oracle Unified Method (OUM) is “how do I find X ?” Well of course no one is really looking for “X”!! but typically an OUM user might know the Task ID, or part of the Task Name, or maybe they just want to find out if there is any content within OUM that is related to a couple of keys words they have in their mind. Here are three quick tips I give people: 1. Open up one of the OUM Views, then click “Expand All”, and then use your Browser’s search function to locate a key Word. For example, Google Chrome or Internet Explorer: <CTRL> F, then type in a key Word, i.e. Architecture This is fast and easy option to use, but it only searches the current OUM page 2. Use the PDF view of OUM Open up one of the OUM Views, and then click the PDF View button located at the top of the View. Depending on your Browser’s settings, the PDF file will either open up in a new Window, or be saved to your local machine. In either case, once the PDF file is open, you can use the built in PDF search commands to search for key words across a large portion of the OUM Method Pack. This is great option for searching the entire Full Method View of OUM, including linked HTML pages, however the search will not included linked Documents, i.e. Word, Excel. 3. Use your operating systems file index to search for key words This is my favorite option, and one I use virtually every day. I happen to use Windows Search, but you could also use Google Desktop Search, of Finder on a MAC. All you need to do (on a Windows machine) is to make sure your local OUM folder structure is included in the Windows Index. Go to Control Panel, select Indexing Options, and ensure your OUM folder is included in the Index, i.e. C:/METHOD/OM40/OUM_5.6 Once your OUM folders are indexed, just open up Windows Search (or Google Desktop Search) and type in your key worlds, i.e. Unit Testing The reason I use this option the most is because the Search will take place across the entire content of the Indexed folders, included linked files.   • No sound on Dell Inspiron 6400n

    After a clean install of Ubuntu 12.04 on my Dell Inspiron 6400n Laptop there is no sound on any application I use apart from the log in screen ready noise. If I click on the speaker icon on the top panel then sound settings it tells me that the default playback device is S/PDIF. In alsamixer the slider is set to zero. I am sure it should be HDA intel or similar. How can I get the sound working please...?

  • Toshiba A105 s4244 microphone doesn't work

    I have installed ubuntu on my toshiba laptop and whenever I connect a microphone it doesn't detect any sounds at all. Everything worked well under xp. When I try sound recorder to record sounds it registers no sounds. The only thing that actually gets recorded is a sound when I remove or connect the microphone in its socket(a kind of a "click"). No its NOT muted I checked a million times. Thanks a lot!

  • Skype 4.0 keeps crashing

    I just installed Skype 4.0 for Linux and for some reason it crashed almost everytime I click on certain actions like Mark all as viewed, Accept an invitation etc... Apparently It seems to work well for other and I couldn't find any help on that type of behaviour online. I do get the same behaviour on my box at work which makes me believe it comes from something I use but what ? thanks for any pointers.
