Hello,
I've used an array of strings to populate a DataGridView.
How do I go about finding the most frequently occurring number?
Or, even better, order them by most frequently occuring?
Thank You.
I use JCL Project Analyser to see what units are used in my project, in order to 'clean' it. But, for big projects, I don't really see the dependencies beause I see the units names but not where they are used.
I used Map file but with no success.
Is there any free tool for having used units AND where they are used ?
I tried GExpert Project Dependancies without succes :
Example : I have JCLInifiles in Project Analyser but I don't see it in GExpert Project Dependancies.
How to find the worst performing queries in MS SQL Server 2008?
I found the following example but it does not seem to work:
SELECT TOP 5 obj.name, max_logical_reads, max_elapsed_time
FROM sys.dm_exec_query_stats a
CROSS APPLY sys.dm_exec_sql_text(sql_handle) hnd
INNER JOIN sys.sysobjects obj on hnd.objectid = obj.id
ORDER BY max_logical_reads DESC

Hi,
I'm having a problem displaying events in the correct order in wordpress. I think the problem is because wordpress is treating the date as a string and ordering it by the day because it's in british date format.
The goal is to display a list of future events with the most current event at the top of the list. But I must use the british date format of dd/mm/yyyy.
Do I need to go back to the drawing board or is there a way of converting the date to achieve the result I need?
Thanks in advance :)
<ul>
<?php // Get today's date in the right format
$todaysDate = date('d/m/Y');?>
<?php query_posts('showposts=50&category_name=Training&meta_key=date&meta_compare=>=&meta_value=' . $todaysDate . '&orderby=meta_value&order=ASC'); ?>
<?php if (have_posts()) : while (have_posts()) : the_post(); ?>
<li>
<h3><a href="<?php the_permalink(); ?>">
<?php the_title(); ?>
</a></h3>
<?php $getDate = get_post_meta($post->ID, 'date', TRUE);
$dateArray = explode('/', $getDate); ?>
<?php if($getDate != '') { ?>
<div class="coursedate rounded"><?php echo date('d F Y', mktime(0, 0, 0, $dateArray[1], $dateArray[0], $dateArray[2])); ?></div>
<?php } ?>
<p><?php get_clean_excerpt(140, get_the_content()); ?>...</p>
<p><strong><a class="link" href="<?php the_permalink(); ?>">For further details and booking click here</a></strong></p>
</li>
<?php endwhile; ?>
<?php else : ?>
<li>Sorry, no upcoming events!</li>
<?php endif; ?>

I have a .net application that uses some API calls, for example GetPrivateProfileString. So far it has always run on 32-bit machines.
In order to run on 64-bit machines, must I change the "Platform Target" to "x86"? Or is there a way to let the runtime know which API DLL to invoke depending on the runtime environment?
I play a game on Facebook which requires purchasing items with playfish cash, I was wondering if Fiddler would be able to modify the url in order to send the items to friends.

The code above groups the cells in alphabetical order but displays a blank header instead of the appropriate title. Could this possibly be because I did not specify the number of headers? This would naturally be a single header for every letter in the alphabet.
Is it possible to use the results of studies made into human learning in order to identify how code might be laid out to improve comprehension?
Code layout wars almost always end up defending consistency and the prevailing style, but could there be ways of laying out code that are provably better than others?
Hello,
I'd like to put this query from SQL to Django:
"select date_format(date, '%Y-%m') as month, sum(quantity) as hours from hourentries group by date_format(date, '%Y-%m') order by date;"
The part that causes problem is to group by month when aggregating. I tried this (which seemed logical), but it didn't work :
HourEntries.objects.order_by("date").values("date__month").aggregate(Sum("quantity"))
I'm a relatively new convert to Python. I've written some code to grab/graph data from various sources to automate some weekly reports and forecasts. I've been intrigued by the Jython concept, and would like to port some Python code that I've written to Jython. In order to do this quickly, I need a NumPy clone for Jython (or Java). Is there anything like this out there?
Hi,
since the localStorage (currently) only supports strings as values and in order to that the objects have to be stringified (stored as JSON-string), before they can be stored, i wondered if there is a defined limitation regarding the length of the values.
Does anyone know if there is a definition which applies to all browsers, respectively does anyone know the limitations for Chrome5?
Thanks, in advance, for your help
I'm investigating ways of using GPU in order to process streaming data. I had two choices but couldn't decide which way to go?
My criterias are as below:
Ease of use.(good API)
Community and Documentation.
Performance
Future
I'll code in C and C++.
I have the following NinjectModule, where we bind our repositories and business objects:
/// <summary>
/// Used by Ninject to bind interface contracts to concrete types.
/// </summary>
public class ServiceModule : NinjectModule
{
/// <summary>
/// Loads this instance.
/// </summary>
public override void Load()
{
//bindings here.
//Bind<IMyInterface>().To<MyImplementation>();
Bind<IUserRepository>().To<SqlUserRepository>();
Bind<IHomeRepository>().To<SqlHomeRepository>();
Bind<IPhotoRepository>().To<SqlPhotoRepository>();
//and so on
//business objects
Bind<IUser>().To<Data.User>();
Bind<IHome>().To<Data.Home>();
Bind<IPhoto>().To<Data.Photo>();
//and so on
}
}
And here are the relevant overrides from our Global.asax, where we inherit from NinjectHttpApplication in order to integrate it with Asp.Net Mvc (The module lies in a separate dll called Thing.Web.Configuration):
protected override void OnApplicationStarted()
{
base.OnApplicationStarted();
//routes and areas
AreaRegistration.RegisterAllAreas();
RegisterRoutes(RouteTable.Routes);
//Initializes a singleton that must reference this HttpApplication class,
//in order to provide the Ninject Kernel to the rest of Thing.Web. This
//is necessary because there are a few instances (currently Membership)
//that require manual dependency injection.
NinjectKernel.Instance = new NinjectKernel(this);
//view model factory.
NinjectKernel.Instance.Kernel.Bind<IModelFactory>().To<MasterModelFactory>();
}
protected override NinjectControllerFactory CreateControllerFactory()
{
return base.CreateControllerFactory();
}
protected override Ninject.IKernel CreateKernel()
{
var kernel = new StandardKernel();
kernel.Load("Thing.Web.Configuration.dll");
return kernel;
}
Now, everything works great, with one exception: For some reason, sometimes Ninject will bind the PhotoController twice. This leads to an ActivationException, because Ninject can't discern which PhotoController I want. This causes all requests for thumbnails and other user images on the site to fail.
Here is the PhotoController in it's entirety:
public class PhotoController : Controller
{
public PhotoController()
{
}
public ActionResult Index(string id)
{
var dir = Server.MapPath("~/" + ConfigurationManager.AppSettings["UserPhotos"]);
var path = Path.Combine(dir, id);
return base.File(path, "image/jpeg");
}
}
Every controller works in exactly the same way, but for some reason the PhotoController gets double-bound. Even then, it only happens occasionally (either when re-building the solution, or on staging/production when the app pool kicks in). Once this happens, it continues to happen until I redeploy without changing anything.
So...what's up with that?
I have one table, which has three fields and data.
Name , Top , Total
cat , 1 , 10
dog , 2 , 7
cat , 3 , 20
horse , 4 , 4
cat , 5 , 10
dog , 6 , 9
I want to select the record which has highest value of Total for each Name, so my result should be like this:
Name , Top , Total
cat , 3 , 20
horse , 4 , 4
Dog , 6 , 9
I tried group by name order by total, but it give top most record of group by result. Can anyone guide me, please?
I am new to the language and I need to know what are the top things that are absolutely necessary to know in order to make a fully functional website or web app using the Ruby programming language?
Mainly Ruby on Rails with Rake and other tools that mainly use Rake.
Update: I know many other languages like C++, Java, PHP, Perl, etc, etc ....
Update 2: This is great ... keep 'em coming!
In Visual Studio 2008, if I had a solution containing multiple C++ projects, I could make them depend on each-other and correctly link by using the "Project Dependencies" option. This fixed up the build order and also made (e.g.) the main application project link against the static library outputs.
In Visual Studio 2010, this doesn't seem to work. Did Visual Studio 2010 change the way this works?
Details on all Web Service Authentication methods and How to apply those?? i.e Way to apply Basic and Digest Authentication in C# Web Application.
More: I'm creating a Web Service and want to deploy it on IIS 5.0. In order to authenticate user I want to use Digest Authentication. How this is done? The authentication should contain some through which the user is checked inside database for authentication and then if valid user then return success or else failure...
A similar question was asked here, but the answers generally all seem to relate to the lambda notation. I get a similar result without the lambda so I thought I'd ask for some clarification:
Say I have something like this:
for (int i = 0; i < 5; i++)
(new Thread(new ThreadStart(delegate()
{
Console.WriteLine("Thread " + i);
}))).Start();
One would expect the following output:
Thread 0
Thread 1
Thread 2
Thread 3
Thread 4
Now I realise that the threads aren't started in any particular order, so let's just assume that the above lines can come out in any order.
But that is not what happens.
What instead happens:
Thread 3
Thread 4
Thread 4
Thread 4
Thread 4
or something similar, which leads me to believe that rather than passing the value if i, it is passing the reference. (Which is weird, since an int is a value type).
Doing something like this:
for (int i = 0; i < 5; i++)
(new Thread(new ThreadStart(delegate()
{
int j = i;
Console.WriteLine("Thread " + j);
}))).Start();
does not help either, even though we have made a copy of i. I am assuming the reason is that it hasn't made a copy of i in time.
Doing something like this:
for (int i = 0; i < 5; i++)
{
(new Thread(new ThreadStart(delegate()
{
Console.WriteLine("Thread " + i);
}))).Start();
Thread.Sleep(50);
}
seems to fix the problem, however it is extremely undesirable as we're wasting 50ms on each iteration, not to mention the fact that if the computer is heavily loaded then maybe 50ms may not be enough.
Here is a sample with my current, specific problem:
Thread t = new Thread(new ThreadStart(delgate()
{
threadLogic(param1, param2, param3, param4);
}));
t.Start();
param1 = param2 = param3 = param4 = null;
with:
void threadLogic(object param1, object param2, object param3, object param4)
{
// Do some stuff here...
}
I want threadLogic() to run in its own thread, however the above code gives a null reference exception. I assume this is because the values are set to null before the thread has had a chance to start.
Again, putting a Thread.Sleep(100) works, but it is an awful solution from every aspect.
What do you guys recommend for this particular type of race condition?
O have an NSDictionary. Inside the dictionary there is an array. I want to sort the dictionary and display it's value in ascending order so please any one help me how can I get sorted data?
Hi,

Do you anybody know how to load product grid or list under custom module area.
I really appreciate your help. Thanks
The function midiOutGetDevCaps returns a structure MIDIOUTCAPS.
I'd need more specific information when querying a usb midi device on windows xp, in particular I'd need the information displayed under "Location" when opening the respective device using the Device Manager.
I need this information in order to programmatically distinguish between several MIDI Interfaces connected to a computer. Using midiOutGetDevCaps, I uniformly get "USB Audio Device" for every midi usb interface connected to the computer, so distinguishing between the interfaces is impossible.
Hello, I'm coding a uploader that saves into the db the date when a file is uploaded using CURDATE(). I want to compare the current date with the one stored into the db in order to change the color of the icon related to the file depending on how long has this feel been uploaded. For instance, if less than a week, the icon will be green, if more than a week, it will be yellow, if more than two weeks, red. How can I do it? Thanks.
I was hoping to make a website that displays a google map with points based of information returned by a C++ function. I know you can use Java Server Pages to call java methods on the server with javascript. Would there be a way to connect C++ code on the server with javascript in order to produce the same result as java server pages?
Hello
There are 2 arrays, both with the same length and with the same keys:
$a1 = [1=>2000,65=>1354,103=>1787];
$a2 = [1=>'hello',65=>'hi',103=>'goodevening'];
asort($a1);
The keys of a1 and a2 are id's from a database.
a1 gets sorted by value. Once sorted, how can we use the same sorting order in a2?
Thanks!
