  • Limiting regex match

    - by DMIL
    Say I have this HTML fragment <td width="25%" style="text-align:right;" > <span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 12px;"> <strong>Regular price:</strong></span> </td> <td width="25%" style="text-align:center;" > <span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 12px;> <strong>11,100.00 USD</strong></span> </td> <td width="25%" style="text-align:right;" > <span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 12px;"> <strong>Web price:</strong></span> </td> <td width="25%" style="text-align:center;" > <span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 12px;> <strong>9,100.00 USD</strong></span> </td> How would I get the first amount (11,100.00) using regex? I tried /Regular price.+(\d[^\s]+)\sUSD/is but it's not working, it's returning '00'. Obviously I'm a newbie at regex and I'm hoping to get by without picking up a book. And I HAVE to use regex to parse this HTML because that particular site was designed by someone who doesn't know about classes or IDs.

  • Combine 3 select fields and validate as one in my User model in ruby on rails 3

    - by Psychonetics
    Ok I have 3 select boxes for selecting date of birth. I have constants setup in my User model to provide months, years etc.. Anyway I can successfully validate these select boxes separately. What I want to do is combine the :day, :month and :year and store in :birthday and validate the whole date as one so I can return 1 error rather than 3 separate ones. Also doing this will make it easier to store the validated date in my birthday field in my database. Part of my form <td> <%= f.input :day, :required => false, :label => "Birthday: " , :prompt => "Day", :collection => User::DAYS %></td> <td> <%= f.input :month, :label => false, :prompt => "Month", :collection => User::MONTHS %> </td> <td> <%= f.input :year, :label => false, :prompt => "Year", :collection => User::YEAR_RANGE %> </td> Part of User model MONTHS = ["January", 1], ["February", 2], ["March", 3], ["April", 4], ["May", 5], ["June", 6], ["July", 7], ["August", 8], ["September", 9], ["October", 10], ["November", 11], ["December", 12] # finish this DAYS = 1..31 # finish this START_YEAR = Time.now.year - 106 END_YEAR = Time.now.year YEAR_RANGE = START_YEAR..END_YEAR class User < ActiveRecord::Base attr_accessor :day, :month, :year validates_presence_of :day, :message = 'What day in a month was you born?' validates_presence_of :month, :message = 'What month was you born?' validates_presence_of :year, :message = 'What is your year of birth?' end

  • No acceleration for OpenGL and ImportError for modules that exist

    - by Aku
    I'm writing a program using wxPython and OpenGL. The program works, but without any antialiasing, and I get these error messages: (I'm using ArchLinux) INFO:OpenGL.acceleratesupport:No OpenGL_accelerate module loaded: No module named OpenGL_accelerate INFO:OpenGL.formathandler:Unable to load registered array format handler numpy: Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/OpenGL/arrays/formathandler.py", line 44, in loadPlugin plugin_class = entrypoint.load() File "/usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/OpenGL/plugins.py", line 14, in load return importByName( self.import_path ) File "/usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/OpenGL/plugins.py", line 28, in importByName module = __import__( ".".join(moduleName), {}, {}, moduleName) File "/usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/OpenGL/arrays/numpymodule.py", line 11, in <module> raise ImportError( """No numpy module present: %s"""%(err)) ImportError: No numpy module present: No module named numpy INFO:OpenGL.formathandler:Unable to load registered array format handler numeric: Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/OpenGL/arrays/formathandler.py", line 44, in loadPlugin plugin_class = entrypoint.load() File "/usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/OpenGL/plugins.py", line 14, in load return importByName( self.import_path ) File "/usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/OpenGL/plugins.py", line 28, in importByName module = __import__( ".".join(moduleName), {}, {}, moduleName) File "/usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/OpenGL/arrays/numeric.py", line 15, in <module> raise ImportError( """No Numeric module present: %s"""%(err)) ImportError: No Numeric module present: No module named Numeric However, when I look into my site-packages folder, I see those modules present there. I have a wxPython demo program that uses GLCanvas, and it works fine, without any errors. My program is quite similar to the GLCanvas demo, involving just translations, rotations, drawing quads and some basic lighting. What am I doing wrong here? (The code is over 200 lines, if necessary I'll edit this and put it here.)

  • Rails 2.3.11 Server Crashing After 4 Requests

    - by Taka
    I have a Rails 2.3.11 application running on my local Windows machine using InstantRails. I cd to my application directory, run ruby script/server to start the server running, and point my browser to localhost:3000. I get the page I expect, and am able to click a few links to other pages (all of them are static). The problem starts when I load the 4th page or so. My server crashes, with this message: Processing HomeController#index (for 127.0.0.1 at 2012-06-23 15:48:40) [GET] Rendering template within layouts/application Rendering home/index Completed in 11ms (View: 9, DB: 1) | 200 OK [http://localhost/index] C:/rails/ruby/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/activesupport-2.3.11/lib/active_support/memoizable.rb:46: [BUG] Segmentation fault ruby 1.8.7 (2012-02-08 patchlevel 358) [i386-mingw32] This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information. I've uninstalled this gem and reinstalled it, which didn't help. It doesn't seem to be the gem though, because the segmentation fault sometimes occurs in C:/rails/ruby/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/mongrel-1.1.2-x86-mswin32/lib/mongrel.rb:114 or C:/rails/ruby/lib/ruby/1.8/benchmark.rb:306 Versions: >ruby -v ruby 1.8.7 (2012-02-08 patchlevel 358) [i386-mingw32] >rails -v Rails 2.3.11 I'd like to get this fixed so while I'm developing I don't have to keep restarting my server. Any suggestions?

  • Parse Text using scanner useDelimiter

    - by Brian
    Looking to parse the following text file: Sample text file: <2008-10-07text entered by user<2008-11-26additional text entered by user I would like to parse the above text so that I can have three variables: v1 = 2008-10-07 v2 = text entered by user v3 = Ted Parlor v1 = 2008-11-26 v2 = additional text entered by user v3 = Ted Parlor I attempted to use scanner and useDelimiter, however, I'm having issue on how to set this up to have the results as stated above. Here's my first attempt: enter code here import java.io.*; import java.util.Scanner; public class ScanNotes { public static void main(String[] args) throws IOException { Scanner s = null; try { //String regex = "(?<=\<)([^\*)(?=\)"; s = new Scanner(new BufferedReader(new FileReader("cur_notes.txt"))); s.useDelimiter("[<]+"); while (s.hasNext()) { String v1 = s.next(); String v2= s.next(); System.out.println("v1= " + v1 + " v2=" + v2); } } finally { if (s != null) { s.close(); } } } } The results is as follows: v1= 2008-10-07text entered by user v2=Ted Parlor What I desire is: v1= 2008-10-07 v2=text entered by user v3=Ted Parlor v1= 2008-11-26 v2=additional text entered by user v3=Ted Parlor Any help that would allow me to extract all three strings separately would be greatly appreciated.

  • Compute the Length of Largest substring that starts and ends with the same substring

    - by Deepak
    Hi People, Below is the Problem Statement: PS: Given a string and a non-empty substring sub, compute recursively the largest substring which starts and ends with sub and return its length. Examples: strDist("catcowcat", "cat") ? 9 strDist("catcowcat", "cow") ? 3 strDist("cccatcowcatxx", "cat") ? 9 Below is my Code: (Without recursion)//since i found it hard to implement with recursion. public int strDist(String str, String sub){ int idx = 0; int max; if (str.isEmpty()) max = 0; else max=1; while ((idx = str.indexOf(sub, idx)) != -1){ int previous=str.indexOf(sub, idx); max = Math.max(max,previous); idx++; } return max; } Its working for few as shown below but returns FAIL for others. Expected This Run strDist("catcowcat", "cat") ? 9 6 FAIL strDist("catcowcat", "cow") ? 3 3 OK strDist("cccatcowcatxx", "cat") ? 9 8 FAIL strDist("abccatcowcatcatxyz", "cat") ? 12 12 OK strDist("xyx", "x") ? 3 2 FAIL strDist("xyx", "y") ? 1 1 OK strDist("xyx", "z") ? 0 1 FAIL strDist("z", "z") ? 1 1 OK strDist("x", "z") ? 0 1 FAIL strDist("", "z") ? 0 0 OK strDist("hiHellohihihi", "hi") ? 13 11 FAIL strDist("hiHellohihihi", "hih") ? 5 9 FAIL strDist("hiHellohihihi", "o") ? 1 6 FAIL strDist("hiHellohihihi", "ll") ? 2 4 FAIL Could you let me whats wrong with the code and how to return the largest substring that begins and ends with sub with its respective length.

  • How to configure a system-wide package in osgi?

    - by cheng81
    I need to made available a library to some bundles. This library makes use of RMI, so it needs (as far as I know, at least) to use the system class loader in order to work (I tried to "osgi-fy" the library, which results in classcastexceptions at runtime). So what I did was to remove the dependencies from the bundles that use that library, compile them with the library included in the property jars.extra.classpath (in the build.properties of the eclipse project). Then I added org.osgi.framework.bootdelegation=com.blipsystems.* in the felix configuration file and started the felix container with the followin command line: java -classpath lib/blipnetapi.jar -jar bin/felix.jar ..which in turns throwed a NoClassDefFoundException for a class of the blipnetapi.jar library: ERROR: Error starting file:/home/frza/felix/load/BlipnetApiOsgiService_1.0.0.1.jar (org.osgi.framework.BundleException: Activator start error in bundle BlipnetApiOsgiService [30].) java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/blipsystems/blipnet/api/util/BlipNetSecurityManager at java.lang.Class.getDeclaredConstructors0(Native Method) at java.lang.Class.privateGetDeclaredConstructors(Class.java:2389) at java.lang.Class.getConstructor0(Class.java:2699) at java.lang.Class.newInstance0(Class.java:326) at java.lang.Class.newInstance(Class.java:308) at org.apache.felix.framework.Felix.createBundleActivator(Felix.java:3525) at org.apache.felix.framework.Felix.activateBundle(Felix.java:1694) at org.apache.felix.framework.Felix.startBundle(Felix.java:1621) at org.apache.felix.framework.Felix.setActiveStartLevel(Felix.java:1076) at org.apache.felix.framework.StartLevelImpl.run(StartLevelImpl.java:264) at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:619) Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.blipsystems.blipnet.api.util.BlipNetSecurityManager at org.apache.felix.framework.ModuleImpl.findClassOrResourceByDelegation(ModuleImpl.java:726) at org.apache.felix.framework.ModuleImpl.access$100(ModuleImpl.java:60) at org.apache.felix.framework.ModuleImpl$ModuleClassLoader.loadClass(ModuleImpl.java:1631) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:251) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClassInternal(ClassLoader.java:319) ... 11 more So my question is: am I missing something? • Dojo DnD: how to access newly copied node on onDndDrop event?

    - by toshinao
    Hi. I am working on code like the following. 01: var c1 = new dojo.dnd.Source('container1', {copyOnly:true}); // container1 is a div 02: var c2 = new dojo.dnd.Source('container2'); // container2 is a div 03: var list = []; 04: for (var i = 0; i < 3; i++) { list.push( dojo.create('div') ); } 05: c1.insertNodes(false, list); 06: 07: function checkDndCopy(nodes, target){ 08: dojo.forEach(nodes, function(node){ alert(node.id); } ); 09: } 10: dojo.subscribe("/dnd/drop", function(){ 11: var mgr = dojo.dnd.manager(); 12: checkDndCopy(mgr.nodes, mgr.target); 13: }); The nodes inserted to the c1 at line 05 have id of "dojoUnique1, donoUnique2, dojoUnique3". On a event of drag and drop a node from c1 to c2, a onDndDrop event is fired and the subscribe method defined in line10-13 is invoked. I expected that newly copied node appears in the nodes (for example) at line 08. But this is not true. When dojoUnique1 is target of drag and drop, nodes at line 08 contains only dojoUnique1. I want to modify some attributes of newly copied nodes on the event of onDndDrop. Please let me know how such a thing is realized.

  • GCC emits extra code for boost::shared_ptr dereference

    I have the following code: #include <boost/shared_ptr.hpp> struct Foo { int a; }; static int A; void func_shared(const boost::shared_ptr<Foo> &foo) { A = foo->a; } void func_raw(Foo * const foo) { A = foo->a; } I thought the compiler would create identical code, but for shared_ptr version an extra seemingly redundant instruction is emitted. So I go python -v and then import py_mlb but it does: >>> import py_mlb import py_mlb # directory /usr/local/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/py_mlb Then I do import sys and print sys.path and I see: >>> print sys.path ['', '/usr/local/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/python_memcached-1.44-py2.6.egg', '/usr/local/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/pymc-2.1alpha-py2.6-linux-i686.egg', '/usr/local/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/nose-0.11.1-py2.6.egg', '/home/wells/py-mlb', '/usr/lib/python2.6', '/usr/lib/python2.6/plat-linux2', '/usr/lib/python2.6/lib-tk', '/usr/lib/python2.6/lib-old', '/usr/lib/python2.6/lib-dynload', '/usr/lib/python2.6/dist-packages', '/usr/local/lib/python2.6/dev-packages', '/usr/lib/pymodules/python2.6', '/usr/lib/pymodules/python2.6/gtk-2.0', '/usr/local/lib/python2.6/dist-packages'] So my path from .bashrc IS in there, and from the look of it it's even before dist-packages but it's importing the module from dist-packages. How can I finagle this so the PYTHONPATH as defined by .bashrc takes precedence? Thanks!

  • Warning: preg_match() [function.preg-match]: Unknown modifier '/' problem

    - by SonOfOmer
    I am building custom implementation of php MVC routing engine, and I have custom routes like one in $routes array below. Each time when I send asynchronous GET request like xmlhttp.open("GET","someurl"); I get following message Warning: preg_match() [function.preg-match]: Unknown modifier '/' problem but with synchronous (normal) request it all works fine <?php $routes = array( array('url' => '/^someurl$/', 'controller' => 'somecontroller', 'view' => 'someview') ); $url = $_SERVER['REQUEST_URI']; $url = substr( $url, 1 ); $params = array(); $route_match = false; foreach($routes as $urls => $route) { if(preg_match($route['url'], $url, $matches)) { $params = array_merge($params, $matches); $route_match = true; break; } } require_once(CONTROLLER_PATH.$route['controller'].'.php'); ?> string(11) "/^someurl$/" is the result of var_dump($route['url']); Thanks.

  • How yo play rington/alarm sound in Android

    - by Federico
    I have been looking everywhere how to play a $#@&! rington/alarm sound in android. I press a button and I want to play a rington/alarm sound. I could not find a easy, strsight forward sample... YES! I already looked at Alarm clock source code... but it is not straight forward and I cannot compile it neither. I cannot make this work: Uri alert = RingtoneManager.getDefaultUri(RingtoneManager.TYPE_ALARM); mMediaPlayer = new MediaPlayer(); mMediaPlayer.setDataSource(this, alert); final AudioManager audioManager = (AudioManager)getSystemService(Context.AUDIO_SERVICE); if (audioManager.getStreamVolume(AudioManager.STREAM_ALARM) != 0) { player.setAudioStreamType(AudioManager.STREAM_ALARM); player.setLooping(true); player.prepare(); player.start(); } I get this error 04-11 17:15:27.638: ERROR/MediaPlayerService(30): Couldn't open fd for content://settings/system/ringtone So.. please if somebody knows how to play a default rington/alarm let me know. I prefer not to upload any file. Just play a default rington. Thanks, Federico

  • Project Euler 7 Scala Problem

    - by Nishu
    I was trying to solve Project Euler problem number 7 using scala 2.8 First solution implemented by me takes ~8 seconds def problem_7:Int = { var num = 17; var primes = new ArrayBuffer[Int](); primes += 2 primes += 3 primes += 5 primes += 7 primes += 11 primes += 13 while (primes.size < 10001){ if (isPrime(num, primes)) primes += num if (isPrime(num+2, primes)) primes += num+2 num += 6 } return primes.last; } def isPrime(num:Int, primes:ArrayBuffer[Int]):Boolean = { // if n == 2 return false; // if n == 3 return false; var r = Math.sqrt(num) for (i <- primes){ if(i <= r ){ if (num % i == 0) return false; } } return true; } Later I tried the same problem without storing prime numbers in array buffer. This take .118 seconds. def problem_7_alt:Int = { var limit = 10001; var count = 6; var num:Int = 17; while(count < limit){ if (isPrime2(num)) count += 1; if (isPrime2(num+2)) count += 1; num += 6; } return num; } def isPrime2(n:Int):Boolean = { // if n == 2 return false; // if n == 3 return false; var r = Math.sqrt(n) var f = 5; while (f <= r){ if (n % f == 0) { return false; } else if (n % (f+2) == 0) { return false; } f += 6; } return true; } I tried using various mutable array/list implementations in Scala but was not able to make solution one faster. I do not think that storing Int in a array of size 10001 can make program slow. Is there some better way to use lists/arrays in scala?

  • Add fields to Django ModelForm that aren't in the model

    - by Cyclic
    I have a model that looks like: class MySchedule(models.Model): start_datetime=models.DateTimeField() name=models.CharField('Name',max_length=75) With it comes its ModelForm: class MyScheduleForm(forms.ModelForm): startdate=forms.DateField() starthour=forms.ChoiceField(choices=((6,"6am"),(7,"7am"),(8,"8am"),(9,"9am"),(10,"10am"),(11,"11am"), (12,"noon"),(13,"1pm"),(14,"2pm"),(15,"3pm"),(16,"4pm"),(17,"5pm"), (18,"6pm" startminute=forms.ChoiceField(choices=((0,":00"),(15,":15"),(30,":30"),(45,":45")))),(19,"7pm"),(20,"8pm"),(21,"9pm"),(22,"10pm"),(23,"11pm"))) class Meta: model=MySchedule def clean(self): starttime=time(int(self.cleaned_data.get('starthour')),int(self.cleaned_data.get('startminute'))) return self.cleaned_data try: self.instance.start_datetime=datetime.combine(self.cleaned_data.get("startdate"),starttime) except TypeError: raise forms.ValidationError("There's a problem with your start or end date") Basically, I'm trying to break the DateTime field in the model into 3 more easily usable form fields -- a date picker, an hour dropdown, and a minute dropdown. Then, once I've gotten the three inputs, I reassemble them into a DateTime and save it to the model. A few questions: 1) Is this totally the wrong way to go about doing it? I don't want to create fields in the model for hours, minutes, etc, since that's all basically just intermediary data, so I'd like a way to break the DateTime field into sub-fields. 2) The difficulty I'm running into is when the startdate field is blank -- it seems like it never gets checked for non-blankness, and just ends up throwing up a TypeError later when the program expects a date and gets None. Where does Django check for blank inputs, and raise the error that eventually goes back to the form? Is this my responsibility? If so, how do I do it, since it doesn't evaluate clean_startdate() since startdate isn't in the model. 3) Is there some better way to do this with inheritance? Perhaps inherit the MyScheduleForm in BetterScheduleForm and add the fields there? How would I do this? (I've been playing around with it for over an hours and can't seem to get it) Thanks! [Edit:] Left off the return self.cleaned_data -- lost it in the copy/paste originally

  • Create variable names using a loop in Java?

    - by SeerUK
    Hi, first time poster, long time reader so be gentle with me :) See the following code which works to generate me timestamps for the beginning and end of every month in a financial year. int year = 2010; // Financial year runs from Sept-Aug so earlyMonths are those where year = FY-1 and lateMonths are those where year = FY int[] earlyMonths = {8, 9, 10, 11}; // Sept to Dec int earlyYear = year -1; for (int i : earlyMonths) { month = i; Calendar cal = Calendar.getInstance(); cal.clear(); cal.set(earlyYear,month,1,0,0,0); Long start = cal.getTimeInMillis(); cal.clear(); cal.set(earlyYear,month,1); lastDayofMonth = cal.getActualMaximum(GregorianCalendar.DAY_OF_MONTH); cal.set(earlyYear,month,lastDayofMonth,23,59,59); Long end = cal.getTimeInMillis(); } int[] lateMonths = {0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7}; // Jan to Aug for (int i : lateMonths) { month = i; Calendar cal = Calendar.getInstance(); cal.clear(); cal.set(year,month,1,0,0,0); Long start = cal.getTimeInMillis(); cal.clear(); cal.set(year,month,1); lastDayofMonth = cal.getActualMaximum(GregorianCalendar.DAY_OF_MONTH); cal.set(year,month,lastDayofMonth,23,59,59); Long end = cal.getTimeInMillis(); } So far so good, but in order to use these results I need these timestamps to be output to variables named by month (to be used in a prepared statement later in the code. e.g. SeptStart = sometimestamp, SeptEnd = some timestamp etc etc. I don't know if it is possible to declare new variables based on the results of each loop. Any ideas?

  • TAPI lineGetAddressID() fails with LINEERR_INVALADDRESS

    - by PaulH
    I have a windows mobile 6 application using TAPI 2.0. lineGetAddressID() is needed to get the address identifier used by several calls in the telephone api, but I can't get it to work. I have tried the following to no avail: HLINE line; // valid handle from lineOpen(); DWORD addr_id = 0; result = ::lineGetAddressID( line, &addr_id, LINEADDRESSMODE_DIALABLEADDR, L"1234", 5 ); result = ::lineGetAddressID( line, &addr_id, LINEADDRESSMODE_DIALABLEADDR, L"5551234", 8 ); result = ::lineGetAddressID( line, &addr_id, LINEADDRESSMODE_DIALABLEADDR, L"1115551234", 11 ); result = ::lineGetAddressID( line, &addr_id, LINEADDRESSMODE_DIALABLEADDR, L"11115551234", 12 ); All of them return LINEERR_INVALADDRESS. Can anybody point out what I may be doing wrong? As a side question, how can I programmaticly get the address? It appears in the LINEADDRESSCAPS structure returned by lineGetAddressCaps(), but that requires an address identifier (which would need to come from lineGetAddressID(), which requires an address...). Note: I realize I could use 0 as the address ID and it will probably work, but I have no guarantee it will work for every platform. I would like to get this solved 'right'. Thanks, PaulH

  • How can I select values from different rows depending on the most recent entry date, all for the sam

    - by user321185
    Basically I have a table which is used to hold employee work wear details. It is formed of the columns: EmployeeID, CostCentre, AssociateLevel, IssueDate, TrouserSize, TrouserLength, TopSize & ShoeSize. An employee can be assigned a pair of trousers, a top and shoes at the same time or only one or two pieces of clothing. As we all know peoples sizes and employee levels can change which is why I need help really. Different types of employees (associatelevels) require different colours of clothing but you can ignore this part. Everytime an employee receives an item of clothing a new row will be inserted into the table with an input date. I need to be able to select the most recent clothes size for each item of clothing for each employee. It is not necessary for all the columns to hold values because an employee could receive trousers or poloshirts at different times in the year. So for example if employee '54664LSS' was given a pair of 'XL' trousers and a 'L' top on 24/03/11 but then received a 'M' top on 26/05/10. The input of these items would be help on two different rows obviously. So if I wanted to select the most recent clothing for each clothes category. Then the values of the 'M' sized top and the 'L' sized trousers would need to be returned. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'm pretty stuck :(. Thanks.

  • ObjC: Alloc instance of Class and performing selectors on it leads to __CFRequireConcreteImplementat

    - by Arakyd
    Hi, I'm new to Objective-C and I'd like to abstract my database access using a model class like this: @interface LectureModel : NSMutableDictionary { } -(NSString*)title; -(NSDate*)begin; ... @end I use the dictionary methods setValue:forKey: to store attributes and return these in the getters. Now I want to read these models from a sqlite database by using the Class dynamically. + (NSArray*)findBySQL:(NSString*)sql intoModelClass:(Class)modelClass { NSMutableArray* models = [[[NSMutableArray alloc] init] autorelease]; sqlite3* db = sqlite3_open(...); sqlite3_stmt* result = NULL; sqlite3_prepare_v2(db, [sql UTF8String], -1, &result, NULL); while(sqlite3_step(result) == SQLITE_ROW) { id modelInstance = [[modelClass alloc] init]; for (int i = 0; i < sqlite3_column_count(result); ++i) { NSString* key = [NSString stringWithUTF8String:sqlite3_column_name(result, i)]; NSString* value = [NSString stringWithUTF8String:(const char*)sqlite3_column_text(result, i)]; if([modelInstance respondsToSelector:@selector(setValue:forKey:)]) [modelInstance setValue:value forKey:key]; } [models addObject:modelInstance]; } sqlite3_finalize(result); sqlite3_close(db); return models; } Funny thing is, the respondsToSelector: works, but if I try (in the debugger) to step over [modelInstance setValue:value forKey:key], it will throw an exception, and the stacktrace looks like: #0 0x302ac924 in ___TERMINATING_DUE_TO_UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION___ #1 0x991d9509 in objc_exception_throw #2 0x302d6e4d in __CFRequireConcreteImplementation #3 0x00024d92 in +[DBManager findBySQL:intoModelClass:] at DBManager.m:114 #4 0x0001ea86 in -[FavoritesViewController initializeTableData:] at FavoritesViewController.m:423 #5 0x0001ee41 in -[FavoritesViewController initializeTableData] at FavoritesViewController.m:540 #6 0x305359da in __NSFireDelayedPerform #7 0x302454a0 in CFRunLoopRunSpecific #8 0x30244628 in CFRunLoopRunInMode #9 0x32044c31 in GSEventRunModal #10 0x32044cf6 in GSEventRun #11 0x309021ee in UIApplicationMain #12 0x00002988 in main at main.m:14 So, what's wrong with this? Presumably I'm doing something really stupid and just don't see it... Many thanks in advance for your answers, Arakyd :..
