  I am trying to execute simple system command via my servlet on google app engine. I'm not trying anything dangerous, just looking for simple stuff grep, sed, wget, find, etc. Using java's Runtime class i keep getting access denied exceptions. Do i have to get permission from google of some kind or are shell commands banned period?

  I have seen how to add google calendar, but when I run it, it create's a new calendar, even though the selector I am using, refer's to an existing calendar. $calendar.fullCalendar({ events: $.fullCalendar.gcalFeed($feed_url.val()) }); I have other functions, that use renderEvents, but I am not sure how to use that with google calendars...   has anyone find out why FriendFeed advanced search result url doesn't have not search field parameter? some example: contains the words field, when you inputs a text "ok" and push search, then response url is http://friendfeed.com/search?q=ok if you also inputs a text into words in the title field, like texts "I'm", response url is http://friendfeed.com/search?q=ok+intitle%3Ai%27m well, pretty beautiful. not like other site response all field even you don't push a text into. anyone know how to make this effect?

  Hi, is it legal to remove the logo/terms of use link displayed on my integrated google map (google maps premier)? The problem is that when I zoom into the map, the link tends to get longer and loger and overlays the whole website which is pretty ugly. Of course it is possible to give the div container a "overflow: hidden;" flag which helps a little. But it is still not satisfying. Thx

  I was using JDO for my google app engine project but got fed up with the additional 5 seconds it adds to my cold start time. I was planning on just writing stuff directly to the database with the low level datastore api, but then I came accross the objectify project ( http://code.google.com/p/objectify-appengine/ ). Apparently its a super light wrapper above the low level api. Does anyone have experiences with this library that they could share?
