  Hy, I have a profile x, that has a born_date and then i want to get all the profiles that has more or less 5 years. If profile x has 20 years, i want every profile that has between 15 and 25 years. Here i need some date calculations and i dont really know how to do it. You have some ideas? ;)

• How Can I Get a TextPointer from a mouse click in a FlowDocument

  I would like to get the word that a user has clicked on in a FlowDocument. I am currently adding an event handler to every Run in the document and iterating through the TextPointers in the Run that was clicked, calling GetCharacterRect() on each one and checking if the rectangle contains the point. However, when the click occurs near the end of a long Run this takes 10 seconds. Is there any more efficient method?

  I'm searching files and returning lines that include the search text, and I'm not really sure the best way to display the information I get. Every time I get a match, I want to show, in some sort of control, the File it came from, and the whole text line. (aka streamreader.ReadLine() result). First I tried just putting it all in a read-only text box, but it doesn't have a scroll bar. What is the best form control to help me display this data neatly?

  Hi, I have an SQL table like this : sales(product,timestamp) I want to display a chart using Open Flash Chart but i don't know how to get the total sales per hour within the last 12 hours. ( the timestamp column is the sale date ) By example i will end up with an array like this : array(12,5,8,6,10,35,7,23,4,5,2,16) every number is the total sales in each hour. • Facebook JS API: Is it possible streamPublish to many targets at once?

  I'm trying to make my app publish to all my friend's walls. From what I read in the API docs, the streamPublish method only allows you to publish to one person at a time. What I'm doing is fetching all the friends with FB.Facebook.apiClient.friends_get then a for on the reuslts, and a streamPublish for every one. This however seems hacky. Is it possible to streamPublish to many targets at once?

  Isn't it true that every assert statement can be translated to an Assert.IsTrue, since by definition, you are asserting whether something is true or false? Why is it that test frameworks introduce options like AreEquals, IsNotNull, and especially IsFalse? I feel I spend too much time thinking about which Assert to use when I write unit tests.

  As anybody who uses VBA in Office 2003 will know, it has the extremely frustrating tendency to do a syntax check every time you click off a line. For example, if I start writing a line of code, I might go > For Each application In And then think "crap, what's the application collection called?" So I'll hit "page up" to find it, and get (in this case) a "Compile Error". Can I turn this off?

  I understand the default git behaviour of updating the modification time every time it changes a file, but there are times when I want to restore a file's original modification time. Is there a way I can tell git to do this? (As an example, when working on a large project, I made some changes to configure.ac, found out that autotools doesn't work on my system, and wanted to restore configure.ac's to its original contents and modification time so that make doesn't try to update configure with my broken autotools).

  Basically I have a Listview control which has coloums (displayed in Detail mode) I add items to it that I want displayed, each under 1 colomn (Like an invoice) but it displays them all under the first instead.   The function midiOutGetDevCaps returns a structure MIDIOUTCAPS. I'd need more specific information when querying a usb midi device on windows xp, in particular I'd need the information displayed under "Location" when opening the respective device using the Device Manager. I need this information in order to programmatically distinguish between several MIDI Interfaces connected to a computer. Using midiOutGetDevCaps, I uniformly get "USB Audio Device" for every midi usb interface connected to the computer, so distinguishing between the interfaces is impossible.

• Qt send signal to main application window

  I need a QDialog to send a signal to redraw the main window. But connect needs an object to connect to. So I must create each dialog with new and explicitly put a connect() every time. What I really need is a way of just sending MainWindow::Redraw() from inside any function and having a single connect() inside Mainwindow to receive them. But you can't make a signal static and dialogs obviously don't inherit from MainWindow.

  IDictionary<TKey, TValue> inherits from IEnumerable<KeyValuePair<TKey, TValue>>, but IDictionary for some reason doesn't inherit from IEnumerable<DictionaryEntry>. I wonder why? I hate to write this ugly .OfType<DictionaryEntry>() every time when I need to make a query against an IDictionary.

Every tutorial assumes the navigation controller will be the first screen so it links it to the App Delegate, but App delegate only appears at MainWindow.xib.
