ASP.NET binding object to Request in asp.net mvc

I've created a object that I'd like to have accessible from wherever the request-object is accessible, and to "die" with the request, more or less like how you always in a mvc-application has access to the RouteData-collection. Especially it's important that I have access to this object in the execution of action-filters. And also there need to be created a new object of my class whenever a new request is made to the page (the object needs to be request-safe, ie. only one request modifies that one object). Any thoughts about how to achieve this?

Whenever I need to call a method of a class, I create an object of that class and call the desired method. Is calling the static method without creating object of that class is the only benefit of static method? What is the accessible range for static method? JQuery returns wrong value for IE Compatibility

Hey , I'm using JQuery and there seems to be a problem when I run IE in compatibility mode (and generally any IE less than version 8). I'm trying to use attr("value") for a button control. In IE8, and other browsers, this works fine and the result of this code: alert($(this).attr("value")); is simply the value of set in the button attribute (e.g. Home, Settings, Help etc..) However, when this is run in IE compatibility view, I get the entire HTML as the output value: <SPAN class=ui-button-text>Home</SPAN> This causes my checks to fail. Is there a way to return just the Home section across all browsers? Thanks

How to limit the number of the same Activity on the stack for an Android application

Is this possible in an Android app? I want to make it so that no matter how many times a user starts activityA, when they hit the back button they will never get more than one occurence of activityA. What I am finding in my current code is that I have only two options: 1. I can call finish() in activityA which will prevent it from being accessible via the back button completely, or 2. I do not call finish(), and then if the user starts activityA (n) times during their usage, there will be (n) instances when hitting the back button. Again, I want to have activityA accessible by hitting the back button, but there is no reason to keep multiple instances of the same activity on the stack. Is there a way to limit the number of instances of an activity in the queue to only 1?

I have a slide show built with jQuery that pauses on hover. It has a group of thumbnails sitting on top of the image that advances the image when clicked, otherwise the slideshow just auto-rotates through all the images. There is also a +/- to expand and contract a caption related to each image. I want to have the slideshow's automatic advancing to stop if one of the thumbnails is clicked, or the +/-. Making a JQuery tooltip retrieve a new value every time the mouse moves.

As i am developing an application that makes use of a tooltip that will display a different value when the user moves the mouse. The user mouses over a table cell and the application then generates a number, the further right the cursor moves in the cell, the higher the value increases. I have created a tooltip that runs and when the cursor mouses over the cell, it does indeed show the correct value. But, when the i move the mouse, it does not show the new value but just the older one. Set Focus After Last Character in Text Box

I have 3 text boxes for a phone number. As the user types, it automatically moves from one textbox to the next. When the user presses backspace, I can move focus to the previous text box. The problem is that in IE, focus is set to the beginning of the text box. importing modules in app engine

Ive asked this before, but it seems i wasnt clear/detailed enough and after a week of trying im still struggling so i will try again. i am trying to use, oauth2 and ply on app engine. i have tried copying their directories into my app engine project directory (in the form ply-3.4 or brosner-python-oauth2-82a05f9) and i have tried copying the specific sub directory contained within the aforemention one. (ply or oauth2) i have tried saying import oauth2, from brosner-oauth2_python-82a05f9 import oauth and other variations on the theme, but i still cant get it to work nothing has worked. i have tried including them in app.yaml, but that seemed to create an even bigger error as my entire project wouldnt even run when i tried that. and now i have run out of things to try. the error log i am getting is as follows.
