    Hello all, I am trying to see if a particular string appears in a div. I have tried but it doesn't return true or false which is what I thought contains did? if($("#path"+i+"_status:contains('!=')")){ alert($("#path"+i+"_status:contains('!=')")); //alerts - [object object] return true; } Here is my HTML: <div class="status" id="path3_status"> <img height="21" align="absmiddle" src="images/valid.jpg">Text File (3000) = Source Table (3000)<img height="21" align="top" src="images/info.jpg" " id="img_path3"> <a onclick="clear_file('TI004OBAE', 'path3');" href="#">Clear</a> </div> What am I doing wrong.   • jQuery UI - Accordion Display issues

    My accordion is working properly, but I'm having a few CSS and JS issues that are prohibiting it from displaying correctly. http://jsfiddle.net/frEWQ/ The JS is applying .ui-corners-all to the H3 before the "kwick" div below it has finished collapsing, giving an odd cut-off border during the animation The margin-bottom applied to the "kwick" div to give spacing between each tab disappears when the tab is set to display:none, getting rid of the spacing... but I can't apply the margin-bottom to the header because it disconnects the header from the "kwick" div below it. Any suggestions? Modification to the JS/CSS? Thanks

Basically I want the border color of the div rfrsh_btn to change when productOptionsMenu is hovered over.     I have a class called object which has an element called 'level'. I want to get a list of all the different values of level on the page so I can select the highest one. If I do something like: $(".object").attr("level") will that get me a list of values that are the values of the level attribute? I suspect not, but then how do you do something like that. Note: I don't want to select an HTML object for manipulation as is more common, rather I want to select values of the attribute.

  • Slow Response in checkbox using JQuery

    Hi to all. I'm trying to optimize a website. The flow is i tried to query a certain table and all of its data entry in a page(w/ toolbars), work fine. When i tried to edit the page the problem is when i click the checkbox button i have to wait 2-5sec just by clicking it. I limit the viewing of entry to 5 only but the response on checkbox doesn't change.   • How to slow down Uploadify plugin script voor jQuery

    Now if that isn't a weird question, I don't know what is. But here is the problem: I have a function in my "onSelect" option that has to collect some data (through AJAX) and I have a function in my "onComplete" option that processes the just uploaded files based on the data "onSelect" collected. However, with very small files, the "onSelect" hasn't finished yet before the upload is complete and the "onComplete" fails because it lacks the necessary data. Bigger files work just fine. So, I'm looking for a way to stall the upload of the file. To let it start only after the function in onSelect completed fetching the necessary data. Any ideas? Here is an example of the function that the onSelect triggers: var foo = new Array(); function checkDB( event, queueID , fileObj ) { $.post( ajax_folder + 'fetchData' , { ref: "someValue" } , function( data ){ foo[ queueID ] = data.result; } , 'json' ); return true; }

I currently have a hover trigger on each image map area and the associated anchor - as shown in screen shot I need to treat these two elements as one, as currently when mouse is moved out of one onto the other it calls .hover() and callback again. I want to call hover callback only when mouse is moved out of either elements.

Neither: $("#SomeDropdown >option[value='a''b]&lt;p>']"); or $("#SomeDropdown >option[value='a\'b]&lt;p>']"); are returning the option. What is the correct way to escape values when using the "value=" selector?
