  • Integrating Zend Controller Standalone - without the rest of Zend Framework

    - by ssmusoke
I am using specific parts of the Zend Framework in my application, and I would like to replace my home grown controller with a Zend Framework controller. My home grown controller is based on an index.php file to which all requests are submitted. A controller is instantiated based on parameters sent within the request After processing the user is forwarded to url which is based on the request information, either a url is specified or some data is analysed I would like ideas on how to integrate the Zend Controller within my application Thanks in advance

  • QueryString problem in .aspx - prints out nothing

    - by user321256
I need to print out the querystring value "?type=xxx" inside my .aspx-page, why doesn't this work: <%= Request.QueryString("type") %> While this does: <%= Request.QueryString(0) %> The first prints out nothing, the second one prints out the value as expected, but it isn't always the first value I want... Any ideas?

  • What is the most efficient way to use Core Data?

    - by Eric
I'm developing an iPad application using Core Data, and was hoping someone could clarify something about Core Data. Right now, I populate my table by making a fetch request for all of my data in viewDidLoad. I'd rather make individual fetch requests in my tableView:cellForRowAtIndexPath:. Can anyone tell me which is more efficient, and why? In other words, is it much less efficient to make lots of small requests as opposed to one big request?

  • Is there a way to get direct_to_template to pass RequestContext in django?

    - by BigJason
I have found myself writing the same view over and over. It is basically this: def home_index(request): return render_to_response('home/index.html', RequestContext(request)) To keep with the dry principal, I would like to utilize a generic view. I have seen direct_to_template, but it passes an empty context. So how can I use a generic view and still get the power of RequestContext?

  • AngularJS - Processing $http response in service

    - by bsreekanth
I recently posted a detailed description of the issue I am facing here at SO. As I couldn't send an actual $http request, I used timeout to simulate asynchronous behavior. Data binding from my model to view is working correct, with the help of @Gloppy Now, when I use $http instead of $timeout (tested locally), I could see the asynchronous request was successful and data is filled with json response in my service. But, my view is not updating. updated Plunkr here

  • How does IIS persist a user's identity from page to page?

    - by Rising Star
Web pages are, by nature, state-less objects. When you click from page to page in an ASP.net application, each request for a page is treated as a brand-new request. We use things like cookies, session-variables, and query strings to maintain state from page to page. When you log in to an ASP.net web application using Windows Authentication, how does IIS persist your identity between pages?

I have been googling this question for some time but got no answers. What's the Apache process model? By process model, I mean how Apache manage process or thread to handling HTTP request. Does it fork one process for each HTTP request? Does it have process/thread pool? Can we config it? Is there any online doc for such Apache details?

  • What are some jQuery plugins that you've desired?

    - by meder
While I'm pretty sure this might just get closed, I might just have some free time on my hands so I'm opening a request thread to see if anyone desires a jQuery plugin that I might be able to provide - if you have a specific request for a plugin that you can't find which isn't overly demanding ( such as a game ) can you reply to this thread?

  • How do I stop Opera from caching a page?

    - by nishkarr
I am trying to get Opera to re-request a page every time instead of just serving it from the cache. I'm sending the 'Cache-control=no-cache' and 'Pragma: no-cache' response headers but it seems as if Opera is just ignoring these headers. It works fine in other browsers - Chrome, IE, Firefox. How do I stop Opera from caching pages? What I want to be able to do is have Opera re-request a page when the user clicks the Back button on the browser.

    - by Bartholomew
According to the Release Notes: All user request have an X-AppEngine-Country header which contains the ISO-3166-1 alpha-2 country code for the user, based on the IP address of the client request. My app is running on localhost with the 1.5.1 Java release which contains the X-AppEngine-Country header but I don't seem to be receiving any value for this header in my requests. Do I have to deploy the app to a production instance to test this feature?

  • Cakephp: how do I know what route was used

    - by Jason
So I am a total cakephp newb and one of the first things I expected to see basic info about each page request logged. More specifically, what route data including what controller/method is being used. Obviously I did not find what I was expecting and about the only kind of meaning info I can find is from the apache logs. What I expected was to see something similar to first log entry for a rails app request. Does cakephp not log this kind of data?
