• Filter a form using a command button on another form

  I have a form with a cmdbutton that at the moment opens another form and shows all records for several types of PartitionStyles and TrimFinishs (486 at present), I need to be able to filter the second form to show only the TrimFinish I need. For example: In JDeveloper, change the default editor to Source view from Design view for JSP files.   Tools » Preferences » File Types » Default Editors » JSP Tag File By default, JDeveloper opens JSP files in Design view, which can take 10 to 15 seconds to begin editing a file. Opening files in Source view only takes 2 seconds.

  Hi, there is a poker-system in java, that uses Collections.shuffle() on all available cards before the cards are dealt. So a collection of 52 cards 2-9, J, Q, K, A in 4 types. After that we Collections.shuffle(). The problem is, that it seems (until now we didn't have big statistic, it's possible that we only see a lot of statistic inferences), that the algorithm is VERY unclearly. So, is Collections.shuffle() okay for a poker algorithm?

  Ok, I read a while back that Quantum Computers can break most types of hashing and encryption in use today in a very short amount of time(I believe it was mere minutes). How is it possible? On that post I saw an screen shot of SSMS with images in the results. How is this done? I have images in my database (PNG files that are serialized via memory stream), but I just see numbers when I select the image column.

  Using winforms in vs2008. I have a DataGridView and I would like to detect when the vertical scroll bar is visible. What event should I register for? I am adding the summing the each cell value in the last column of the grid and displaying that value in a textbox at the bottom of the DataGridView. I would like this textbox to stay lined up with the cell values (I have made them right aligned since it is $$ values) even after the scroll bar is present.

• SQL Server backward compatibility in Entity Framework?

  Is there any backward compatibility in the entity framework between SQL Server 2008 and 2005? It seems the framework forces you to use the same provider for all the .edmx files in a solution. If you use the 2008 provider, data types like DateTime2 and functions like SysDateTime that are emitted by the framework to the underlying SQL query make it useless to use them against a SQL 2005 Server. Any way around this?
