  • Is it a bad programming practise to have "Public" members inside an "Internal" class?

    I mean, won;t it be more specific and appropriate if i "only" keep "protected","internal" and "private" members (field,method,property,event) in a class which is declared as "internal" ? I have seen this practice ( having "public" members in an "internal" class) in various code so just wanted to know is it a bad practice or does it has some benefit or advantage.   • Can Adobe AIR Desktop application take full screen snapshots (aka Print Screen button)

    I would like to know if its possible to get full screen snapshots from an air application. What i am interested in, is functionality similar to PrintScreen button in windows, which takes snapshots of all screens, including third party application windows, not just window in which air app is running. If its not specific to air, and flash/flex API can provide such functionality, it also would be great. Thanx a lot in advance.

  • Finding records when using has_many through associations

    I have two models, Worker and Project, and they are connected with has_many through association. I manage to find all the projects which are related to a specific worker by writing the following code: worker=Worker.find_by_id("some_id") worker.projects but I want the projects that I get to be only active projects (in the project model I have a status field) I tried to do something like worker.projects(:status_id=>'active') but it didn’t work for me. Can somebody tell me how I can do this?

    I have a View that contains a UITableView and a UITabBarController. I have set my IBOutlets, but the UITabbarController does not appear. Do I need to do anything else to allow it to appear?   • Windows Application Data Directory

    Not completely a programming question, but its close enough so here goes: In Mac OS I'll put user-specific files for my app in ~/Library/Application Data/{MyApp}/ and in *nix I'll put them in ~/.{MyApp}/ - where should I put them for Windows? I'll be using Ruby's File.expand_path to get to this directory, so if there's a windows equivalent of ~ then that's fine. (Answers for Windows XP, Vista and 7 would be appreciated if they're not the same)

  • Windows [C++] - Creating new folders if they don't exist for fopen

    I have a C++ program that takes user input for fopen in order to initiate a file write. Could someone help me find a function which will return a FILE* and use the Windows specific version of mkdir in order to create the folder structure for fopen to never fail to open a new file in the specified location because one of the folders does not exist. Essentially what I am trying to do is change the color of each pixel in a 256 x 256 texture that is within a certain radius from a specific pixel (Using the Unity3d Game Engine).
