.NET 3.5 doesn't completely support XPATH 2.0 or XSLT 2.0, which is just too bad. Does anyone know if these two will be included and fully supported in any future .NET versions?
i just wanted to use eclipse tptp, a framework for static code analysis but the support for code analysis ended with tptp 4.5.0.

Hi all,
I am trying to maintain my session variables that I get back in a cookie from my website in my DefaultHttpClient by passing the client between activities. Simply put how can I pass this object between activities to maintain my session variables? Bundle.put... doesn't seem to support this object. If it does how does it work with DefaultHttpClient?
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.
I've setup a git repository one a remote server. Now I'm trying to checkout from it with:
git fetch ssh://[email protected]/~username/workfolder/
but I get an error:
fatal: Not a git repository
What am I doing wrong? Could it be the server does not support Git+SSH?
I checked wikipedia, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scrum_(development)
But I am still looking for some insight from the genius minds using SO. I installed Microsoft Project 2010, and was assuming that it would have some template/plugin that would support SCRUM. Unfortunately, I couldn't find one :-(
I develop a C++ program which might use adobe flash, although it is not essential.
I use CoCreateInstance to create the flash object, and if it fails, I know flash is not installed so I don't use it.
However, in Vista (and I think Windows 7 as well), when flash is not installed, after leaving the application, the "Program Compatibility Assistant" pops up a message saying that "This program requires a missing Windows component" specifying the flash.ocx.
Is there a way to prevent this message from appearing? I don't want to force any user to install flash (especially since it's the IE ActiveX, and FireFox users might not have it installed), and my application can operate well without the flash.
Plus this message is really annoying when it appears after every run.
I don't mean of course disabling the PCA on the user's machine, but programmatically disable this specific appearance on all machines.
Any thoughts?
Thanks
[EDIT:]
I followed Shay's lead (thanks), and did some more digging of my own. I added the following XML to the application's manifest:
<trustInfo xmlns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:asm.v2">
<security>
<requestedPrivileges>
<requestedExecutionLevel level="asInvoker" uiAccess="false">
</requestedExecutionLevel>
</requestedPrivileges>
</security>
</trustInfo>
(see also: msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb756929.aspx)
This solved the problem on Vista 64.
To solve the same problem on Windows 7, I added the following:
<compatibility xmlns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:compatibility.v1">
<application>
<!--The ID below indicates application support for Windows Vista -->
<supportedOS Id="{e2011457-1546-43c5-a5fe-008deee3d3f0}"/>
<!--The ID below indicates application support for Windows 7 -->
<supportedOS Id="{35138b9a-5d96-4fbd-8e2d-a2440225f93a}"/>
</application>
</compatibility>
(See also: blogs.msdn.com/yvesdolc/archive/2009/09/22/the-new-compatibility-section-in-the-application-manifest.aspx)
Solved Windows 7.
But for some reason, it still happens in Vista 32...
I also tried editing the manifest of the specific DLL which causes the problem, but it had no effect. Only the executable's manifest itself affected the problem.
So... Vista 32?
Hi,
I've been reading about SharePoint 2010's Claims based authentication support. At this point, my shop has several clients who may not upgrade for a while, however. In making our other services claims compatible, we're wondering if claims based authentication is realistic without a great deal of reworking of existing code in our 2007 installations?
i'm trying to use ghostdoc with vwd express 2008.

Has anyone tried to implement Metro web services on GAE-Java. It is not lsited on http://groups.google.com/group/google-appengine-java/web/will-it-play-in-app-engine and I would like to know if GAE will support it
Is it possible to enable native browser autocomplete for textareas. Would like something that works just like the input-text construct, but for textarea in order to support multi-line input.
I am reading the "Device Support - Setting Required Hardware Capabilities" on http://developer.apple.com/iphone/library/documentation/iPhone/Conceptual/iPhoneOSProgrammingGuide/AdvancedFeatures/AdvancedFeatures.html
I want to add still-camera capability by doing the following:
Open my Info.plist
Click +
Add UIRequiredDeviceCapabilities on the Key column
Add still-camera on the Value column
Save the updated Info.plist
Is this the correct way?
Thanks in advance for your help.
For things like menubars and headers, a background color is nice.
But a background color that gracefully transitions from say Blue to White is even nicer.
I know this can be done by making a 1-pixel wide, X-pixel tall image file containing the desired fade and repeating it across the div, but does CSS have native support to just define colors and be done with it?
Can any other language handle this?
How do I create an rss feed in ASP.Net? Is there anything built in to support it? If not, what third-party tools are available?
I'm thinking webforms, not MVC, though I suppose since this isn't a traditional page the difference may be minimal.
Hello guys,
I would like to ask what is the ideal folder structure for a MVC framework that should be able to support multiple installations. For example, I install xyz framework and i run two or more sites based on this single installation of xyz framework rather than installing the framework for each site.
This is probably done in Codeigniter too but i don't know much about CodeIgniter, so i need your suggestions. I know some of you might even have better idea than what is done by CodeIgniter, so please share.
Hi,
I was trying to add a Jquery file into my application and it gave me following error:
Warning 22 Error updating JScript IntelliSense: C:\Users\Desktop\jquery-1.3.2.min.js: Object doesn't support this property or method @ 18:9345
Geetha.
I am planning on deploying a database to SQL Azure, so I cannot use the SQL CLR. However, I have a need to create an aggregate function -- in my case, I need to STUnion a bunch of Geography objects together. (Azure is expected to support Spatial by June.)
Is there another way to accomplish this, without making use of the CLR, in a query? Or do I have to create a UDF that will take a table as a parameter and return the aggregate?
Just a thought.
Wouldn't it be useful to have optional type parameters in C#?
This would make life simpler. I'm tired of having multiple classes with the same name, but different type parameters. Also VS doesn't support this very vell (file names) :-)
This would eliminate the need for a non-generic IEnumerable:
interface IEnumerable<out T=object>{
IEnumerator<T> GetEnumerator()
}
What do you think?
I need to use @font-face feature and my fonts are in OTF/TTF format and Microsoft browsers support only EOT format. I tried to use Microsoft tool WEFT, but it didn't work or I didn't understand how it works. Is there any other way to convert my fonts to EOT format?
I'm porting an application from WPF to Silverlight and was saddened to read of the lack of FlowDocument support.
What is the best way in Silverlight then to display text with markup?
I just need the basics, e.g.
bold
italic
hyperlink
colors
font sizes
Today's browsers (or HTML < 5) only support HTTP GET and POST, but to communicate RESTful one need PUT and DELETE too. If the workaround should not be to use Ajax, something like a hidden form field is required to overwrite the actual HTTP method.
Rails uses the following trick:
<input name="_method" type="hidden" value="put" />
Is there a possibility to do something similar with JAX-RS?
How can I compile poppler 0.13.3 using Visual Studio 2008, and with QT4 support? I want to use poppler as a static lib.
Can anyone help, or has anyone done this?
Thanks
Is there a way to make a simple installer that includes the necessary runtimes and dependency packages, and creates an icon in the OpenSuse menu, so the application will "just work?"
The actual application is just an executable (.EXE) and a handful of support files (mostly XML and CSV).
I already have the application successfully building and executing in MonoDevelop 2.0.
I'm trying to connect to a RESTful web service, but I'm having some troubles, especially when sending data over PUT and DELETE. With cURL, PUT requires a file to send, and DELETE is just weird. I'm perfectly capable of writing a client using PHP's socket support and writing the HTTP headers myself, but I wanted to know whether you guys have ever used or seen a REST client for PHP?
I use svn update to deploy, but have recently explored Capistrano. I see they support checkout, export, copy, and update+copy, but not just update. Is it frowned upon to use an svn working directory as a deployment directory and why?
