  • How to simply this logic/code?

    - by Tattat
I want to write an apps that accepts user command. The user command is used in this format: command -parameter For example, the app can have "Copy", "Paste", "Delete" command I am thinking the program should work like this : public static void main(String args[]){ if(args[0].equalsIgnoreCase("COPY")){ //handle the copy command } else if(args[0].equalsIgnoreCase("PASTE")){ //handle the copy command }/** code skipped **/ } So, it works, but I think it will become more and more complex when I have more command in my program, also, it is different to read. Any ideas to simply the logic?

  • Problem in retrieving the ini file through web page

    - by MalarN
    Hi All, I am using an .ini file to store some values and retrieve values from it using the iniparser. When I give (hardcode) the query and retrive the value through the command line, I am able to retrive the ini file and do some operation. But when I pass the query through http, then I am getting an error (file not found), i.e., the ini file couldn't be loaded. Command line : int main(void) { printf("Content-type: text/html; charset=utf-8\n\n"); char* data = "/cgi-bin/set.cgi?pname=x&value=700&url=http://IP/home.html"; //perform some operation } Through http: .html function SetValue(id) { var val; var URL = window.location.href; if(id =="set") { document.location = "/cgi-bin/set.cgi?pname="+rwparams+"&value="+val+"&url="+URL; } } .c int * Value(char* pname) { dictionary * ini ; char *key1 = NULL; char *key2 =NULL; int i =0; int val; ini = iniparser_load("file.ini"); if(ini != NULL) { //key for fetching the value key1 = (char*)malloc(sizeof(char)*50); if(key1 != NULL) { strcpy(key1,"ValueList:"); key2 = (char*)malloc(sizeof(char)*50); if(key2 != NULL) { strcpy(key2,pname); strcat(key1,key2); val = iniparser_getint(ini, key1, -1); if(-1 == val || 0 > val) { return 0; } } else { //error free(key1); return; } } else { printf("ERROR : Memory Allocation Failure "); return; } } else { printf("ERROR : .ini File Missing"); return; } iniparser_freedict(ini); free(key1); free(key2); return (int *)val; } void get_Value(char* pname,char* value) { int result =0; result = Value(pname); printf("Result : %d",result); } int main(void) { printf("Content-type: text/html; charset=utf-8\n\n"); char* data = getenv("QUERY_STRING"); //char* data = "/cgi-bin/set.cgi?pname=x&value=700&url=http://10.50.25.40/home.html"; //Parse to get the values seperately as parameter name, parameter value, url //Calling get_Value method to set the value get_Value(final_para,final_val); } * file.ini * [ValueList] x = 100; y = 70; When the request is sent through html page, I am always getting .ini file missing. If directly the request is sent from C file them it works fine. How to resolve this?

  • Listing like appstore in firefox

A little question about the listing in iphone os and some other applications, and possibly in android market. When listing the apps, it fills the list in an automatic process, when reaching or is near to reach the end. My question is: How is that written in iphone applications. But the main question is: Is that possible to make for firefox users with javascript, ajax or possibly any other language? out

  • unformatted input to a std::string instead of c-string from binary file.

    - by posop
ok i have this program working using c-strings. I am wondering if it is possible to read in blocks of unformatted text to a std::string? I toyed arround with if >> but this reads in line by line. I've been breaking my code and banging my head against the wall trying to use std::string, so I thought it was time to enlist the experts. Here's a working program you need to supply a file "a.txt" with some content to make it run. i tried to fool around with: in.read (const_cast<char *>(memblock.c_str()), read_size); but it was acting odd. I had to do std::cout << memblock.c_str() to get it to print. and memblock.clear() did not clear out the string. anyway, if you can think of a way to use STL I would greatly appreciate it. Here's my program using c-strings // What this program does now: copies a file to a new location byte by byte // What this program is going to do: get small blocks of a file and encrypt them #include <fstream> #include <iostream> #include <string> int main (int argc, char * argv[]) { int read_size = 16; int infile_size; std::ifstream in; std::ofstream out; char * memblock; int completed = 0; memblock = new char [read_size]; in.open ("a.txt", std::ios::in | std::ios::binary | std::ios::ate); if (in.is_open()) infile_size = in.tellg(); out.open("b.txt", std::ios::out | std::ios::trunc | std::ios::binary); in.seekg (0, std::ios::beg);// get to beginning of file while(!in.eof()) { completed = completed + read_size; if(completed < infile_size) { in.read (memblock, read_size); out.write (memblock, read_size); } // end if else // last run { delete[] memblock; memblock = new char [infile_size % read_size]; in.read (memblock, infile_size % read_size + 1); out.write (memblock, infile_size % read_size ); } // end else } // end while } // main if you see anything that would make this code better please feel free to let me know.

  • Make HTML content area fit to viewport height?

    - by viatropos
I just made this demo extracting out what I'm trying to accomplish: Autosize Main Content Area I want the pink/yellow area to act according to these rules: Minimum height is the size of its content (which is variable) IF content size is smaller than viewport size Otherwise minimum height is such that it adjusts to fill the window. Checking out the source to that demo, what am I missing? I feel like this is a pretty easy case that shouldn't require javascript. Any ideas?

  • How to configure Eclipse with CDT?

    - by Burkhard
Hello, I've been trying to use CDT with Eclipse 3.4 under Windows XP with cygwin. What do I need to do, in order to get startet? I used "eclipse-cpp-ganymede-SR1-win32.zip" found on the Eclipse homepage. Edit: The main problem is, that I cannot compile and run the code. In the run configuration, I tried gcc.exe for the C/C++ Application: After adding the path of make.exe to my $Path, and starting from scratch, it works perfectly.

  • How to open a nested child PreferenceScreen in Android.

    - by Mike
Hello, I have a PreferenceScreen that is defined in XML that serves all the preferences for my application. This PreferenceScreen also has a child PreferenceScreen nested within it. My implementing class is called PreferencesActivity. I know I can open the main Preferences window via startActivity(new Intent(this, PreferencesActivity.class)); but how do I go about opening the child PreferenceScreen via an Intent?

  • How do you create application preferences page?

    - by Tony
I see some application that uses the settings bundle for their app. Example: http://knol.google.com/k/usman-ismail/iphone-sdk-application-preferences#. I was wondering how to do that without it appearing at the user main settings. I see some application managed to do that. Is there any tutorial around?

  • How can my WiX uninstall restore a registry value change?

    - by Thomas
The installer I'm writing using WiX 3.0 uses a RegistryValue element to modify an existing registry value (originally written by our main product). I'm trying to figure out a way to restore the registry value when the user uninstalls my utility. I'd like to avoid using a custom action, but that might be the only recourse? TIA.

  • scons LIBPATH generates additional library paths

    - by Anonym
I'm building a C project using scons, some internal static libraries are build and the exe files are linked to it. However, setting: env['LIBPATH'] = ['#build/libs'] generates a -Llibs and a -Lbuild/libs argument to gcc: gcc -o edecode main.o pack16.o pack16le.o pack32.o pack32le.o pack64.o -Lbuild/libs -Llibs -lutillib Why's that ? I only told it to look in build/libs

  • Saving a reference to a int.

    - by Scott Chamberlain
Here is a much simplified version of what I am trying to do static void Main(string[] args) { int test = 0; int test2 = 0; Test A = new Test(ref test); Test B = new Test(ref test); Test C = new Test(ref test2); A.write(); //Writes 1 should write 1 B.write(); //Writes 1 should write 2 C.write(); //Writes 1 should write 1 Console.ReadLine(); } class Test { int _a; public Test(ref int a) { _a = a; //I loose the reference here } public void write() { var b = System.Threading.Interlocked.Increment(ref _a); Console.WriteLine(b); } } In my real code I have a int that will be incremented by many threads however where the threads a called it will not be easy to pass it the parameter that points it at the int(In the real code this is happening inside a IEnumerator). So a requirement is the reference must be made in the constructor. Also not all threads will be pointing at the same single base int so I can not use a global static int either. I know I can just box the int inside a class and pass the class around but I wanted to know if that is the correct way of doing something like this? What I think could be the correct way: static void Main(string[] args) { Holder holder = new Holder(0); Holder holder2 = new Holder(0); Test A = new Test(holder); Test B = new Test(holder); Test C = new Test(holder2); A.write(); //Writes 1 should write 1 B.write(); //Writes 2 should write 2 C.write(); //Writes 1 should write 1 Console.ReadLine(); } class Holder { public Holder(int i) { num = i; } public int num; } class Test { Holder _holder; public Test(Holder holder) { _holder = holder; } public void write() { var b = System.Threading.Interlocked.Increment(ref _holder.num); Console.WriteLine(b); } } Is there a better way than this?

  • WinForms "mini-windows"

    - by Poco
I need to create some mini-windows, like the ones shown in the image bellow, in my winform main form. It would be nice if they could be draggable, resizable, and, mainly, closable. How can I approach this design? Has anybody already seen some control (with code available) implementing something similar?
