• Can I turn off inline syntax checking in the Office 2003 VBA editor?

  As anybody who uses VBA in Office 2003 will know, it has the extremely frustrating tendency to do a syntax check every time you click off a line. For example, if I start writing a line of code, I might go > For Each application In And then think "crap, what's the application collection called?" So I'll hit "page up" to find it, and get (in this case) a "Compile Error". Can I turn this off?

  Hi, I made a query to an address and I got the readyState = 4, and the status = 0. After I read the documentation for the XMLHttpRequest, it says if the status = 0 and readyState = 4, then check the associated error flag. How can I see whats in this error flag to determine the cause of the status not being set to 200? Thanks.

Here is the code I am attempting to use: Cells = [OK, _, _, _, _, _] . ... next_safe(_) :- facing(CurrentDirection), delta(CurrentDirection, Delta), in_cell(OldLoc), NewLoc is OldLoc + Delta, nth1(NewLoc, Cells, SafetyIdentifier), SafetyIdentifier = OK .   Im building an automatic refreshing comment section for my website using jQuery .load. So I am using a javascript 'setTimeout' timer to check for new comments. But after doing some stuff like changing comment pages or deleting (all using ajax), a few old timers keep running, even though I used clearTimeout before loading new ajax content. Is there some way to clear ALL javascript timers when I load new ajax content?

  I was reading this great article about Base SDK and Deployment targets and decided to try it out myself. The Deployment target seems to be buried in the Build settings, and not that easy to access compared to the Base SDK target (which is right there in the General tab of the project settings). To get to the Deployment settings now I have to Get Info, go to the Build tab, then search for "Deployment". Is there a quick way to check and access the Deployment target in Xcode that I'm missing?

• Is it necessary to write ROLLBACK if queries fail?

  I write mysql_query("SET AUTOCOMMIT=0"); mysql_query("START TRANSACTION"); before I write all queries. Then check if all of them are true and then write: mysql_query("COMMIT"); But if one of query fails, I just pass COMMIT query. So do I really need ROLLBACK function if one of the queries fail? Because without ROLLBACK it also works. Thanks.

  So I've got an IKBrowserView all wired up and happily dragging my custom datatype (provided lazily via PasteboardItem) from one window to another, but now I'm interested in detecting when the user drops some data onto the trashcan. Cocoa's documentation says to check the return type of the drag operation itself, but how exactly do I do this with an IKBrowserView? Once I call imageBrowser:writeItemsAtIndexes:toPasteboard: I don't seem to get any notifications other than the request for the pasteboard contents, which doesn't provide a pointer to the drag operation that invoked it.

• Why might my Emacs use spaces instead of tabs?

  I am trying to diagnose this problem. TAB creates 4 spaces instead of a 4 col TAB like I want. But I don't think it should because C-h v indent-tabs-mode on the buffer in question says it is set to t. When I check my keybindings, TAB is set to c-indent-line-or-region. Does this function ignore my tabs-mode?
