  • Post Loading ads from Google Admanager

    - by Prem
I have changed code around to basically load an add the bottom of the page in a hidden div and attached an onload event handler that called document.getElementById(xxx).appendChild() to take the hidden ad and move it into the right spot in my page. This works GREAT.. however when the ad is a text ad it AFTER i move the ad there is nothing in the rendered Iframe. I did tests to see what it looks like before i move it and sure enough the text links load in the IFRAME but the second i do the appendChild call to move the div that contains the ad i seem to loose the contents of the Iframe. Any ideas whats going on <div id="myad" style="display: none;"> GA_googleFillSlot("MyADSlotName"); </div> <script> window.onload = function() { // leader board document.getElementById('adplaceholder').appendChild(document.getElementById('myAd')); document.getElementById('myAd').style.display = ''; </script

  • Permission denied to access property 'toString'

    - by Anders
I'm trying to find a generic way of getting the name of Constructors. My goal is to create a Convention over configuration framework for KnockoutJS My idea is to iterate over all objects in the window and when I find the contructor i'm looking for then I can use the index to get the name of the contructor The code sofar (function() { constructors = {}; window.findConstructorName = function(instance) { var constructor = instance.constructor; var name = constructors[constructor]; if(name !== undefined) { return name; } var traversed = []; var nestedFind = function(root) { if(typeof root == "function" || traversed[root]) { return } traversed[root] = true; for(var index in root) { if(root[index] == constructor) { return index; } var found = nestedFind(root[index]); if(found !== undefined) { return found; } } } name = nestedFind(window); constructors[constructor] = name; return name; } })(); var MyApp = {}; MyApp.Foo = function() { }; var instance = new MyApp.Foo(); console.log(findConstructorName(instance)); The problem is that I get a Permission denied to access property 'toString' Exception, and i cant even try catch so see which object is causing the problem Fiddle http://jsfiddle.net/4ZwaV/

  • Nike + iPod app like customisation ?

    - by Madhup
Hi, I am very much curious about Nike + iPod app look and feel. They have selected uitabbar buttons red in color The tableviewcell selection style as red in color. The disclosure indicator is also red in color. The solution in my mind for two of these is: I can use a red colored arrow image to use it as accessory view. I can flip between a red colored and white colored view with animation for having the selection style But I am clueless of how the tabbar thing is to be done. I am very curious to know the tricks behind this, I also accept that I may be wrong with my other two solutions. So please suggest the solution for any of the problems. I think all are worth knowing for the developers. Thanks, Madhup

  • problem with converting simple code to silverlight app.

    - by Sara
    Hi. I have this code for window form application and I have been attempting to convert it to a Silverlight application but it does not work!. There is a Textbox and I attached KeyDown event handler to it. when the user press the arrow key ( left or right) while the focus on the textbox, it will write . or -. When it is window form i used e.KeyCode and Keys.Right and its works great but when it is silverlight I used e.Key and key.Right and the program doesn't work good because the arrows do the 2 functions moving and write ./-. How I can work this out in Silverlight? (My English not good) The code ( window form): private void textBox1_KeyDown(object sender, KeyEventArgs e) { if (sender is TextBox) { TextBox textBox = (TextBox)sender; if (e.KeyCode == Keys.Left || e.KeyCode == Keys.Right) { e.Handled = true; char insert; if (e.KeyCode == Keys.Left) { insert = '.'; } else { insert = '-'; } int i = textBox.SelectionStart; textBox.Text = textBox.Text.Insert(i, insert.ToString()); textBox.Select(i + 1, 0); } } } (and Silverlight): private void textBox1_KeyDown(object sender, KeyEventArgs e) { if (sender is TextBox) { TextBox textBox = (TextBox)sender; if (e.Key == Key.Left || e.Key == Key.Right) { e.Handled = true; char insert; if (e.Key == Key.Left) { insert = '.'; } else { insert = '-'; } int i = textBox.SelectionStart; textBox.Text = textBox.Text.Insert(i, insert.ToString()); textBox.Select(i + 1, 0); } } } I don't understand, is there huge different effect between using Keycode/Keys and Key/Key or because something else?

  • function taking in an input image and different kernel size

    - by drifterOcean19
I have this filtering function that takes an input image, performs convolution using a given kernel, and returns the resulting image. However, I can't seem to work it out how to make it takes different kernel sizes. For example instead of pre-defined 3x3 kernel as below in the code, it could instead take 5x5 or 7x7. and then the user could input the type of kernel/filter they want(Depending on the intended effect). I can't seem to put my head around it. i'm quite new to matlab. function [newImg] = kernelFunc(imgB) img=imread(imgB); figure, imshow(img); img2=zeros(size(img)+2); newImg=zeros(size(img)); for rgb=1:3 for x=1:size(img,1) for y=1:size(img,2) img2(x+1,y+1,rgb)=img(x,y,rgb); end end end for rgb=1:3 for i= 1:size(img2,1)-2 for j=1:size(img2,2)-2 window=zeros(9,1); inc=1; for x=1:3 for y=1:3 window(inc)=img2(i+x-1,j+y-1,rgb); inc=inc+1; end end kernel=[1;2;1;2;4;2;1;2;1]/16; med=window.*kernel; disp(med); med=sum(med); med=floor(med); newImg(i,j,rgb)=med; end end end newImg=uint8(newImg); figure, imshow(newImg); end

  • How to distinguish properties from constants if they both use PascalCasing for naming?

    - by Gishu
As stated in the framework design guidelines and the WWW in general, the current guideline is to name your constants like this LastTemplateIndex as opposed to LAST_TEMPLATE_INDEX With the PascalCasing approach, how do you differentiate between a Property and a Constant. ErrorCodes.ServerDown is fine. But what about private constants within your class ? I use quite a lot of them for naming magic numbers.. or for expected values in my unit tests and so on. The ALL_CAPS style helps me know that it is a constant . _testApp.SelectTemplate(LAST_TEMPLATE_INDEX); *Disclosure: I have been using the SCREAMING_CAPS style for a while for constants + I find it more readable than squishedTogetherPascalCasedName. It actually STANDS_OUT in a block of text*

  • PHP script for creating calendar table or jquery complete solution required

    - by finn_meister
Ok so this is what I want to make: http://i44.tinypic.com/eiwphl.jpg red = booked green = available I have data in mysql in the format of: property_id, booked_from, booked_until . Before I start trying to create the correct loops etc to create and style the table, i thought i best ask if there are already good jquery plugins / php classes create this visual interface and uncluttered enough to allow me to add a select date range method (like Google Analytics)? I'm looking for something to create a basic calendar table on a loop, which i can then style and add jquery features. Though worth asking if there's a complete package that already does what i plan on making?!! (jquery ui's date-picker doesn't look powerful enough / easy enough to modify)

I get extremely wide vertical spacing in IE 7 and the bacground color between the field sets does not work correctly. All is good in FF. My CSS is: fieldset { margin: 1.5em 0 0 0; padding: 0; border-style: none; border-top: 1px solid #BFBAB0; background-color: #FFFFFF; } legend { margin-left: 1em; color: #000000; font-weight: bold; } fieldset ol { padding: 1em 1em 0 1em; list-style: none; } fieldset li { padding-bottom: 1em; } fieldset.submit { border-style: none; } { var w = document.myform.mylist.selectedIndex; var selected_text = document.myform.mylist.options[w].text; alert(selected_text); } label em { display: block; color: #900; font-size: 85%; font-style: normal; text-transform: uppercase; } This is my html code. <div id="mainContent1"> <form name="myform"> <label for="mylist"><strong>Select an Account Type:</strong></label> <select name="mylist"><option value="traditional">Traditional Account</option> <option value="paperless">Paperless Account</option> </select> </form> <br /><a> </a> <form action="example.php"> <fieldset> <legend>Contact Details</legend> <ol> <li> <label for="name">Name:</label> <input id="name" name="name" class="text" type="text" /> <label for="name"> <em>required</em> </label> </li> <li> <label for="email">Email address:</label> <input id="email" name="email" class="text" type="text" /> <label for="name"> <em>required</em> </li> <li> <label for="phone">Telephone:</label> <input id="phone" name="phone" class="text" type="text" /> <label for="name"> <em>required</em> <ol> <li> <input id="option1" name="option1" class="checkbox" type="checkbox" value="1" /> <label for="option1">Savings</label> </li> <li> <input id="option2" name="option2" class="checkbox" type="checkbox" value="1" /> <label for="option2">Checkings</label> </li> </ol> </fieldset> <fieldset> <legend>Delivery Address</legend> <ol> <li> <label for="address1">Address 1:</label> <input id="address1" name="address1" class="text" type="text" /> </li> <li> <label for="city">City:</label> <input id="city" name="city" class="text" type="text" /> </li> <li> <label for="postcode">Zip Code:</label> <input id="postcode" name="postcode" class="text textSmall" type="text" /> </li> <li> <label for="country">Country:</label> <input id="country" name="country" class="text" type="text" /> </li> </ol> </fieldset> <fieldset class="submit"> <input class="submit" type="submit" value="Submit" /> </fieldset> <fieldset class="clear"> <input class="clear" type="clear" value="Submit" /> </fieldset> </form>

  • Firefox, prevent rendering between javascript statements.

    - by Erik
I'm trying to create some kind of zoom around the mouse cursor feature on my website which ultimately runs these two lines (+ the same for height/scrollTop). canvas.style.width = someValue; canvas.parentNode.scrollLeft = someOtherValue; The problem is that in firefox(3.6) the page is re-rendered directly after the first row has been executed and since the view is depending on both values this means that every time i recalculate the view firefox will will render an invalid view before the correct one, in other words creating flicker. I've tried swapping the two rows but get the same problem. In chrome, opera and IE this doesn't happen. Both lines are executed before any rendering is done. Is there any way to lock the rendering manually, maybe something like this? document.disableRendering(); //fantasy function canvas.style.width = someValue; canvas.parentNode.scrollLeft = someOtherValue; document.enableRendering(); //fantasy function

  • asp.net custom templated datalist - throws argument out of range (index) on button press

    - by MrTortoise
I have a class BaseTemplate public abstract class BaseTemplate : ITemplate This adds the controls, and provides abstract methods to implement in the inheriting class. The inheriting class then adds its html according to its data source and manages the data binding. this all works fine - I get the control appearing with properly parsed html. the problem is that the base class adds controls into the template that have their own CommandName arguments ... the idea is that the class that implements the custom templated dataList will provide the logic of setting the Selected and Edit Indexes. This class also manages the data binding etc. It sets all of the templates ont he datalist in the Init method (which was another cause of this exception). the exception gets throw when i hit one of these buttons .. but after the ItemCommand event is being processed. The stack trace does not include any references to my methods or objects which is why i am so stuck. • Check if CSS Class exists in StyleSheet using javascript/jQuery

    - by Akhil Sekharan
Is there a way to check if there is a class named 'some-class-name' in css? For example, I have: <style type="text/css"> .box { position: absolute; left: 150%; } </style> My intention is to randomly assign a class to a div on certain event: var classList = []; //Need to populate this array $('#updateClass').on('click', function() { $('#resultDiv').attr('class',classList[Math.floor((Math.random()*classList.length)+1)]); }); Is it possible to check by JS/jQuery whether a class named 'box' exists in the stylesheet? Thanks.

  • IE CSS bug: table border showing div with visibility: hidden, position: absolute

    - by Alessandro Vernet
The issue I have a <div> on a page which is initially hidden with a visibility: hidden; position: absolute. The issue is that if a <div> hidden this way contains a table which uses border-collapse: collapse and has a border set on it cells, that border still shows "through" the hidden <div> on IE. Try this for yourself by running the code below on IE6 or IE7. You should get a white page, but instead you will see: Possible workaround Since this is happening on IE and not on other browsers, I assume that this is an IE bug. One workaround is to add the following code which will override the border: .hide table tr td { border: none; } I am wondering: Is this a known IE bug? Is there a more elegant solution/workaround? The code <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en" lang="en"> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8"/> <style type="text/css"> /* Style for tables */ .table tr td { border: 1px solid gray; } .table { border-collapse: collapse; } /* Class used to hide a section */ .hide { visibility: hidden; position: absolute; } </style> </head> <body> <div class="hide"> <table class="table"> <tr> <td>Gaga</td> </tr> </table> </div> </body> </html>

  • MAAttachedWindow hide

I had the same problem that The-Kenny at this post but I fixed it adding the windowDidResignKey: method on the MAAttachedWindow.m, but now my problem is that when I click outside the StatusBar item keeps blue background and when I click another time on the status item it goes normally and I have to click a second time on it to show the window. I tried to add a method in the CustomView (the view of the status item) that do the same thing that te mouseDown method: - (void)mouseDown:(NSEvent *)event { NSRect frame = [[self window] frame]; NSPoint pt = NSMakePoint(NSMidX(frame), NSMidY(frame)); NSLog(@"%g,%g",pt.x,pt.y); clicked = !clicked; [controller toggleAttachedWindowAtPoint:pt]; [self setNeedsDisplay:YES];} my method is: - (void)windowDidResignKey { NSLog(@"Resigned"); NSRect frame = [[self window] frame]; NSPoint pt = NSMakePoint(NSMidX(frame), NSMidY(frame)); NSLog(@"%g,%g",pt.x,pt.y); clicked = !clicked; [controller toggleAttachedWindowAtPoint:pt]; [self setNeedsDisplay:YES];} I call this method in the windowDidResignKey that I have defined on MAAttachedWindow.m, but this method dont call correctly the toggleAttachedWindowAtPoint method, I dont know exactly why, it's only called when I click another time over the status item If anybody knows how to do that any help would be fine. • Tag Cloud JS + Flash. Actual Tags In Cloud Not Clickable?

    - by Alex
Hello all, I've implemented a tag cloud on a site of mine, and I'm using a JS script to populate it, but for some reason, the actual text in the tag cloud is not clickable. It displays and works correctly, but the actual text of the cloud is not getting treated as a link for some odd reason. My question is: In my script below, do you see anything that I need to fix in order to make my tag cloud's text actually be links? The site I've implemented it on is a stackexhange site that I run, it is supposed to be a cloud of the "recent tags." CloudPopulator.js <script type="text/javascript"> var divRecentTags = document.getElementById("recent-tags"); if (divRecentTags) { var cloud = new SWFObject("some/swfObject/url", "tagcloudflash", "200", "200", "9", "#ffffff"); cloud.addParam("allowScriptAccess", "always"); cloud.addVariable("tcolor", "0x0a94d6"); cloud.addVariable("tcolor2", "0xC0C0C0"); cloud.addVariable("hicolor", "0x000000"); cloud.addVariable("tspeed", "150"); cloud.addVariable("distr", "true"); cloud.addVariable("mode", "tags"); var aTags = divRecentTags.getElementsByTagName("a"); var tagHtml = ""; for(var i = 0; i < aTags.length; i++) { var hrefText = aTags[i].getAttribute("href"); var cssText = aTags[i].className; var tagName = $(aTags[i]).text(); var styleText = "style=\'font-size: 8pt;\'"; if (cssText == "post-tag pop1") { var styleText = "style=\'font-size: 15pt;\'"; } else if (cssText == "post-tag pop2") { var styleText = "style=\'font-size: 22pt;\'"; } var newLinkText = "<a href=\'"+hrefText+"\'"+styleText+">"+tagName+"</a>"; tagHtml = tagHtml + newLinkText; } cloud.addVariable("tagcloud", escape("<tags>" + tagHtml + "</tags>")); cloud.write("recent-tags"); } </script>
