    Hello, Well, this must be very simple to do for most of you, but I have no idea how to accomplish this. I have a set of tabs and on top of the tabs is a set of checkboxes ; each checkbox 'corresponds' to a tab. What I need is to be able to activate/deactivate each checkbox and have its corresponding tab (and the tab's content) hide/display.     Hello, I have a dialog form and when I open it I have the button "add a task", I would like to keep this "name", when I open the form from an empty case, but I want to have a button named "edit this task" when I open an already existing task. I also want to send the form with this button when I push enter key, no matter where I am on the form. Thank you.

    I have this select: <select name="main"> <option value="2">2s</option> <option value="3">3s</option> <option value="5">5s</option> </select> How do I make, that after choosing 2s, 2 selects would be created: <select name="select1"> <option value="0">0</option> <option value="1">1</option> <option value="2">2</option> </select> <select name="select2"> <option value="0">0</option> <option value="1">1</option> <option value="2">2</option> </select> After choosing 3s, it would create 3 selects and so on. So now is the question how I'll collect all the forms in to an array that PHP can read (like JSON for instance).     Is there any way to get a hover function to only execute once? This is what I'm currently trying: $('#ask').live('hover', function() { $('#homesearch-after').hide(300); $.doTimeout( 300, function() { hideClosedSearchLink(); showHomeSearch(); }); }); But that's not working. How can I only get this hover to activate once? I've tried changing .live with .one and .bind... resulting in nothingness.

  • How do I get jquery & mootools to play nice?

    I've been using Mootools 1.2.4 as my JS framework of choice. I've added Checkout by Amazon to one of my pages, and they inject jQuery 1.2.6 into the page and messes up my dollar function (among other things). I have control over Mootools, but not jQuery. I would rather not rewrite my existing code to accomodate jQuery since Checkout by Amazon was an afterthought and plug-in element. Any thoughts or suggestions are recommended. Thanks!

    Hi All, I have a text area field where i need to provide information about the word count when the user enters some text in the field. Length of the field is supposed to be 500 Characters. Initialy it must show min characters:100 | 0 of 500 // 0 of 500 must be in red color and once the user enters come character need to update the count as well. Once the user reaches the count say the min character 100, i need to display min characters:100 | 100 of 500 // 100 of 500 must be in green color. How can i do this?? is there any plugin for the same??? let me know your thoughts on this.

    So, if in the javascript, I create a DOM object in the HTML page, and attach event listener to the DOM object, upon I remove the the DOM from HTML page, does the event listener still exist and causing memory leak? function myTest() { var obj = document.createElement('div'); obj.addEventListener('click', function() {alert('whatever'); }); var body = document.getElementById('body'); // assume there is a <div id='body'></div> already body.appendChild(obj); } // then after some user actions. I call this: function emptyPage() { var body = document.getElementById('body'); body.innerHTML = ''; //empty it. } So, the DOM object, <div> inside body is gone. But what about the eventlistener? I'm just afraid that it will cause memory leak.

  • How do I automatically update hundreds of images in an HTML page using jquery?

    I have an HTML page where I want to refresh a lot of images every 30 seconds after the HTML page has been downloaded. I understand how to do this with Jquery and a single image, but I want to use about 200 custom urls to determine the current image to display for over 200 images. I need to find an efficient way to have jquery call the custom url associated with each image to download the url for the needed image as it changes, and then update the image in the page when it changes. Current hyperlink example to demonstrate the custom urls. <A href="/urlThatReturnsCurrentImageURL/1234/4567">link to url for image</A> Each custom url will return an image tag like this (or any other text that makes this simpler for jquery) <img src="/static/someImage.jpg"> What is the simplest way to have jquery call the custom url for each image to download the image url, image html, or some other text that jquery can use to download the right image every 30 seconds? Please keep in mind that I will have about 200 of these on a page.
