• How to simulate a USB drive

  Hi all, Is it possible to simulate a USB drive with software only? I mean, for example, to expose a local memory space to the OS so the device manager will recognize it as a USB device. I'm not familiar with hardware implementation, but I'm sure that it is possible somehow to emulate the USB protocol. I began with this book - USB Design By Example. Can anyone please give me additional references to begin with? Thank in advance!

  Do you know of a fast and simple entity validation framework that could be used in a Compact Framework project? I've done some experiments with FluentValidation (using db4o System.Linq.Expressions, but it's rather slow) and EViL (but it seems a bit half-baked). • Caching web API proxy?

  I was wondering if anyone knows of a caching proxy specifically for dealing with API responses? Ideally, I'd be able to declare what caching policy to use for different API semantics, e.g. cache album art for 1 day, cache favorite tweets for 5 minutes, cache map tiles forever, except invalidate when this other API is called. I know about using Apache, Squid, etc for caching in general -- I'm just hoping for something with nicer usage semantics by restricting the design goal to dealing with APIs rather than the web in general.

• How do bezier handles work?

  On Wikipedia I found information about bezier curves and made a function to generate the inbetween points for a bezier polygon. I noticed that Expression Design uses bezier handles. This allows a circle to be made with 4 points each with a bezier handle. I'm just not sure mathematically how this works in relation with the formula for bezier point at time T. • Jquery add elipse (...) and truncate text based on height not width.
