    when I try and run the "rake db:seed" command the rails console outputs "NoMethodError: undefined method `db' for #" not quite sure what going on. I'm using netbeans to build my rails project which is using the built-in JRuby 1.2 would that have anything to do with it?

    Hi, I build a project in C#.Net 2.0. From another project I have 5 DLLs. Is It possible to include the DLL in the exe, that I only give 1 File to people and not x files? I tried ILMerge, but the output file ever opened a Command prompt with the application - useless.

    Hi, I need to build a component which would take a few XML documents in input and check the following kind of rules: XML1:/bookstore/book[price>35.00] != null and (XML2:/city/name = 'Montreal' or XML3://customer[@language] contains 'en') Basically my component should be able to: substitute the XML tokens with the corresponding XML document(before colon) apply xpath query on this XML document check the xpath output against expected result ("=", "!=", "contains") follow the basic syntax ("and", "or" and parentheses) tell if the rule is true or false Do you know any library which could help me? maybe JavaCC?     Hello, I am trying to build a list of lists using the following code: list=3*[[]] Now I am trying to append a string to the list in position 0: list[0].append("hello") However, instead of receiving the list [ ["hello"] , [], [] ] I am receiving the list: [ ["hello"] ,["hello"] , ["hello"] ] Am I missing something?     Im trying to build a calculator with PyQt4 and connecting the 'clicked()' signals from the buttons doesn't as expected. Im creating my buttons for the numbers inside a for loop where i try to connect them afterwards. def __init__(self): for i in range(0,10): self._numberButtons += [QPushButton(str(i), self)] self.connect(self._numberButtons[i], SIGNAL('clicked()'), lambda : self._number(i)) def _number(self, x): print(x) When I click on the buttons all of them print out '9'. Why is that so and how can i fix this?

  • SQL 2005 - any way to restore/copy a diagram?

    I used the Redgate packager (ran MSI) to reset all the data in my database (i.e. I deleted everything, and let it build the new database). Unfortunately, I discovered that it didn't retain my diagrams, which has a nice arrangement and several annotations. Is there any way to copy/migrate/script the diagram from one database to another (the databases have identical structures). Thanks, Neal Walters

    I'd like to build a webapp in Rails in which I'd like to determine every pixel's color of a given image (JPEG). Is there any possibility to do that with Rails or JavaScript? The goal is to write an algorithm which determines the "middle color" of the image and uses it for background color of the site. Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Here is what I have [NSString stringWithFormat:@"%8@: %.6f",e,v] where e is an NSString from somewhere else, and v is a float. Our main server is located in a country in Europe and we will have many users downloading our client the first day from all over the world. Since the client application is quite big in MB our wan will be utilized a lot. One of the questions being asked is whether there is a performance hit to running obfuscated code vs. running unobfuscated code. What is your experience?
