  • How to get "Friends who like/play games" list (similar to Farmville 2)

    - by FBAppDev
I'm working on a Facebook app, and I'm trying to get a friends list similar to Farmville 2. They have a "friends who like games" list. My first thought is, I can get a list of all friends, then for each friend, see if they like any pages with type == "GAMES/TOYS". But ideally, I would like to get the list in one query (not by making one graph API or FQL request per friend). Is this possible, and if so, how?

One of the main reasons why SEO services have become so sought after is that SEO services come as a great alternative to other much more expensive optimization services such as PPC, and so on. With the number of websites being introduced to the internet on a daily basis constantly growing, it is safe to say that there are no more safe heavens or exclusive niches where a few select companies can operate without worries.

  • What's the most useful piece of logic you use? [closed]

    - by nomaderWhat
Just tapping away and automatically made use of that one logic algorithm I always use, which you'll probably guess is: (not A) OR (not B) = not (A AND B) Curious if this is the case for just about everyone else, and more curious if there is a different algorithm that other programmers make use of that is just as if not more useful to them. Really hoping for the latter, cause the one above is well... so boring.

  • Link Building For Search Visibility

Ask any proficient search engine optimization (SEO) practitioner, and you will learn that building links to your website is one of most significant methods to use, and also one of the most confusing. For example, you might be told that not all links are equal, and you have to learn about concepts like nofollow, link trust, link density, link popularity, and PageRank (PR). • Game programming and quantity of timers

    - by andresjb
I've made a simple 2D game engine using C# and DirectX and it's fully functional for the demo I made to test it. I have a Timer object that uses QueryPerformanceCounter and I don't know what's the better choice: use only one timer in the game loop to update everything in the game, or an independent timer in every object that needs one. My worry is that when I try to implement threads, what will happen with timers? What happens with the sync?

  • How to tell two windows of the same program apart? [closed]

    - by john mossel
Possible Duplicate: Disable joining multiple windows to one icon in unity panel If I have two vlc players open, I have to go to the sidebar and click on the vlc icon, then pick which one I want (it does this cool effect where it shows you both windows side by side-- as great as that is, it gets bloody annoying after a while). Is there not an easier way of doing this? Is there no possibility of reverting back to the old system?

    - by UbuntuRob
At the moment I am running Ubuntu 12.10 from a USB memory stick, and I wondered whether it would be possible to save and run any programs I have downloaded from another USB stick instead of the one with the operating system on. I'd like to be able to set the download location in Ubuntu Software Center to the second memory drive, but i don't know how to do this. I can keep the operating system on the one USB and the programs on the other USB, which makes everything much more easier. Any ideas?
