  • PHP: How do I install soap extension?

    - by jun
Ok. I am just starting to use soap and my first problem is installing it. I got this error: Fatal error: Class 'SoapClient' not found in /home/user/mysite.com/path/to/file.php on line 16 I am hosting my site in DreamHost and ask the guys there. But they told me that they don't support any third-party installation. Does anyone has the same problem and manage to solved it? Thansk!

  • .NET framework deprecated interfaces and attributes. What was your biggest refactoring due to lack o

    - by Andrew Florko
Some .net-framework interfaces and attributes become obsolete and deprecated since new framework version appears. I am warned that such code may be removed or become unpredictable in next versions but have you ever faced the situation when you were forced to refactor code because code came uncompilable or start to behave weird? What was you biggest refactoring? Or maybe Microsoft always continued to support api's once they were published? Thank you in advance!

  • How can I prevent row selection in the WPF Toolkit DataGrid?

    - by Kilhoffer
I see a few options available for row selection, but 'No Selection' is not one of them. I've tried handling the SelectionChanged event by setting SelectedItem to null, but the row still seems selected. If there is no easy support for preventing this, would it be easy to just style the selected row the same as an unselected one? That way it could be selected, but the user has no visual indicator.

  • Issue building C++ DLL with Visual Studio 2010

    - by Jon Tackabury
I have a very simple DLL written in unmanaged C++ that I access from my application. I recently switch to Visual Studio 2010, and the DLL went from 55k down to 35k with no code changes, and now it will no longer load in Windows 2000. I didn't change any code or compiler settings. I have my defines setup for 0x0500, which should include Windows 2000 support. Has anyone else run into this, or have any ideas of what I can do?

  • How can I tell [G]vim where to look for python26.dll?

    - by Ariel
I have a version of Vim compiled with python 2.6 support enabled (from here). however vim cannot find the python26.dll. :version confirms +python/dyn :version and gvim.exe confirms DYNAMIC_PYTHON_DLL="python26.dll" echo PATH confirms python26.dll is in the search path. (both c:\windows\system32, and C:\python26) What could I be missing? Did I skip something silly?

  • PostgreSQL + Rails citext

    - by glebm
I am trying to move to heroku which uses PostgreSQL 8.4 which has a citext column type which is nice since the app was written for MySQL. Is there any way to use :citext with rails (so that if the migrations are run on MySQL the citext would just use string/text? I found this ticket, but it seems like it isn't going to be a part of rails for a while: https://rails.lighthouseapp.com/projects/8994/tickets/3174-add-support-for-postgresql-citext-column-type

  • Drupal ical for Authenticated users

    - by Linda
I am using the calender module with it's iCal support for Drupal 6. I have made my event type which appear on the iCal feed. I however want to make the event content type private, so only authenticated users can read it. By doing this they will not show on the iCal feed. Is there any way that I could get the iCal feed to still show these events?

  • How do you stream M4V video on the web without using Flash?

    - by Alex
I'm building a web site that needs to stream video and be friendly for handheld devices (especially the iPhone). Some handhelds don't support Flash so I'm avoiding the use of a Flash player. How does Youtube stream its videos so that they play on both desktops and iPhones? I'm looking for a player, or multiple players, which can be somehow activated based on the user's device. Your help and guidance are much appreciated. Thanks.

  • Generic Type constraint in .net

    - by Jose
Okay I'm looking for some input, I'm pretty sure this is not currently supported in .NET 3.5 but here goes. I want to require a generic type passed into my class to have a constructor like this: new(IDictionary<string, object>) so the class would look like this public MyClass<T> where T : new(IDictionary<string, object>) { T CreateObject(IDictionary<string, object> values) { return new T(values); } } But the compiler doesn't support this, it doesn't really know what I'm asking. Some of you might ask, why do you want to do this? Well I'm working on a pet project of an ORM so I get values from the DB and then create the object and load the values. I thought it would be cleaner to allow the object just create itself with the values I give it. As far as I can tell I have two options: 1) Use reflection(which I'm trying to avoid) to grab the PropertyInfo[] array and then use that to load the values. 2) require T to support an interface like so: public interface ILoadValues { void LoadValues(IDictionary values); } and then do this public MyClass<T> where T:new(),ILoadValues { T CreateObject(IDictionary<string, object> values) { T obj = new T(); obj.LoadValues(values); return obj; } } The problem I have with the interface I guess is philosophical, I don't really want to expose a public method for people to load the values. Using the constructor the idea was that if I had an object like this namespace DataSource.Data { public class User { protected internal User(IDictionary<string, object> values) { //Initialize } } } As long as the MyClass<T> was in the same assembly the constructor would be available. I personally think that the Type constraint in my opinion should ask (Do I have access to this constructor? I do, great!) Anyways any input is welcome.

  • ASP.net canvas server control

    - by Pierreten
I was wondering if anyone has come up with an ASP.net server tag for the HTML5 canvas? I was thinking of something where I could declaritively define paths, curves; etc in the aspx markup, and the control would deliver the js to do this (perhaps with support for browser detection, and delivery of an emulation script for IE browsers.) Maybe a good idea for a Codeplex project for me to start up?

  • CounchDB in Production

    - by NoelAdy
I have been using CouchDB on some prototype applications and it has been brilliant, very easy to use and extremely quick. I was wondering if anyone has been using it in production and have any views on it's reliability, performance suitability for operational management etc ?? I am considering using it to support a service layer and would make use of its replication functionality. Any comments/experiences would be most welcome.
