• HTML tag closes when inside a condition

  I'm having a little problem with jade. Here is the following code : each user in users - if (user.valid == 1) tr(style="color:green;") - else tr(style="color:red;") td = user.mail td = user.lastIp td = user.token td = user.valid My problem is that the tds are created only in the else case. if the if (user.valid == 1) is true, then it creates an empty tr. Is there a way I can create my tr with this condition, and then only fill them ? Thanks :)

  Hello, i found a similar problem like this: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2314296/struts2-form-elements but no answer is given until now. So here i post my difficulties with a vengeance. I am using Struts2 with version 2.1.6. When I leave the input elements such as <s:textfield>, <s:textarea>, etc. of a <s:form> with the default theme, the elements are rendered as: <tr> <td class="tdLabel"><label for="firstname" class="label">Firstname:</label></td> <td><input type="text" name="firstname" id="firstname"/></td> </tr> <tr> <td class="tdLabel"><label for="lastname" class="label">Lastname:</label></td> <td><input type="text" name="lastname" id="lastname"/></td> </tr> Now if i want to add something, say an html label, between the two elements, the result gets messed up as described in the related question above. Another problem is: for the <s:checkbox> item, it is just not possible to add an extra title. For example, this tag <s:checkbox id="defaultprinter" name="defaultprinter" key="lbl.defaultprinter"/> is rendered as: <tr> <td valign="top" align="right"></td> <td valign="top" align="left"> <input type="checkbox" name="defaultprinter" value="true" checked="checked" id="defaultprinter"/> <label for="defaultprinter" class="checkboxLabel">Default Printer</label> </td> </tr> By only setting the attributes of <s:checkbox>, i can't add any text to the first <td> shown above (here it is empty!). • jQuery slideDown + CSS Floats

  I'm using a HTML Table with several rows. Every second row - containing details about the preceding row - is hidden using CSS. When clicking the first row, the second row gets showed using jQuery show(). This is quite nice, but I would prefer the slideDown-Effect. The problem is, inside the details row, there are two floating DIVs, one floating on the left, and one on the right. Now if i slideDown the previously hidden row, the contained DIVs behave strange and "jump around". Can anyone shed any light on this?

• Reserve space for initially hidden widget in QVBoxLayout

  I am using a QVBoxLayout to arrange a vertical stack of widgets. I want some of them to be initially hidden and only show up when a check box is checked. Here is an example of the code I'm using. When I check the checkbox, they become visible, but everything is kind of scrunched to accomodate them. If I leave them initially visible, everything is laid out just the way I would like it. Is there any way to make the QVBoxLayout reserve space for these widgets even if they're initially invisible?

• adding a background color to search term results

  I'm trying to add a background color to a user submitted search result when a user enters a search term on a page (which is basically one big table). This is a text based search. I'm using jquery to show/hide the table rows that do not have the search term as text within the TR, but I'd ideally like to take the additional step of taking the search term (the entered value), and matching any of those text terms in the remaining (showing) rows and adding say a yellow background to the word(s). • AutoComplete field and IE

  My web page does not have the autocomplete attribute that would tell browsers not to autocomplete the field. In spite of not having this attribute, IE 8 or Safari (not sure on other browsers) does not autocomplete the page. Autocomplete does work on some sites (such as Gmail) so I am assuming that the browser setting is not causing it? • Attaching functions to elements in a loop

• HTML block nested in PHP if statement - is this considered bad practice?

  Consider the following example: <table> <tr> <td>Row One</td> </tr> <?php if ($rowtwo) { ?> <tr> <td>Row Two</td> </tr> <?php } ?> </table> If $rowtwo is true, the second row is output, otherwise it is skipped. The code works as desired, however I am evaluating Netbeans (7 beta) as a PHP IDE (instead of just using a text editor). Netbeans flags the code with an error: Misplaced non-space characters insided [sic] a table. Should I consider an alternate way of writing this code, or is Netbeans incapable of understanding this flow control wrapper for HTML output?

• Python lxml - returns null list

  I cannot figure out what is wrong with the XPATH when trying to extract a value from a webpage table. The method seems correct as I can extract the page title and other attributes, but I cannot extract the third value, it always returns an empty list? from lxml import html import requests test_url = 'SC312226' page = ('https://www.opencompany.co.uk/company/'+test_url) print 'Now searching URL: '+page data = requests.get(page) tree = html.fromstring(data.text) print tree.xpath('//title/text()') # Get page title print tree.xpath('//a/@href') # Get href attribute of all links print tree.xpath('//*[@id="financial"]/table/tbody/tr/td[1]/table/tbody/tr[2]/td[1]/div[2]/text()') Unless i'm missing something, it would appear the XPATH is correct: Chrome screenshot I checked Chrome console, appears ok!   Hi, I need to take data from external file and format it, the problem is, i want to have that data stored into a variable. Load method works for me, because i need to load not the whole document, but just a part of it, but then again, i want to load to variable and not to some dom element. $.get can do this, but it doesn't support selectors. Is there any way I could make this? Now examples: Mine external file consists of a table, which has format like this: <table><tr><td><img /></td></tr><tr><td><a></a></td><td><span></span></td></tr></table> I need to extract img, a and span tags because I need them to be displayed in different order than they're now. So, is there any chance for me that i could make this work? Thanks.

  I'm looking for a regular expression that can extract the href from this: <a href="/tr/blog.php?post=3593&user=930"> There are hundreds of links on the page so I need to extract only those that contain /tr/blog.php So in the end I should be left with a list of links that start in /tr/blog Thanks for any help. It's really puzzling me.
