    Switching aged 2003 SRV to 2008 caused my Asp.net 2 application fail: The application is no more loading the required library DLL from /bin/ folder anymore. What should I change in my code or web.config to make this webapp load OK also in new 2008 server? Now I receive this error when I access the application: This type is in IMPORTS ( Dll ). • Join two results in Powershell

    - by Hinek
    I've got two CMDlets that return lists of objects. One returns objects of the type SPSolution, which contains the property Id, the other returns objects of the type SPFeature with a property SolutionId. Now I want to join/merge this data something like this: $f = Get-Feature $s = Get-Solution $result = <JOIN> $f $s <ON> $f.SolutionId = $s.Id <SELECT> FeatureName = $f.DisplayName, SolutionName = $s.Name

  • 'Invalid conversion from some_type** to const some_type**'

    - by petersohn
    I've got a function that requires const some_type** as an argument (some_type is a struct, and the function needs a pointer to an array of this type). I declared a local variable of type some_type*, and initialized it. Then I call the function as f(&some_array), and the compiler (gcc) says: error: invalid conversion from ‘some_type**’ to ‘const some_type**’ What's the problem here? Why can't I convert a variable to const?

  • Java writes bad wave files

    - by Cliff
    I'm writing out wave files in Java using AudioInputStream output = new AudioInputStream(new ByteArrayInputStream(rawPCMSamples), new AudioFormat(22000,16,1,true,false), rawPCMSamples.length) AudioSystem.write(output, AudioFileFormat.Type.WAVE, new FileOutputStream('somefile.wav')) And I get what appears to be corrupt wave files on OSX. They won't play from Finder however using the same code behind a servlet writing directly to the response stream and setting the Content-Type to audio/wave seems to play fine in quicktime. What gives?

  • Is there a C# equivalent of typeof for properties/methods/members?

    - by David
    A classes Type metadata can be obtained in several ways. Two of them are: var typeInfo = Type.GetType("MyClass") and var typeInfo = typeof(MyClass) The advantage of the second way is that typos will be caught by the compiler, and the IDE can understand what I'm talking about (allowing features like refactoring to work without silently breaking the code) Does there exist an equivalent way of strongly referencing members/properties/methods for metadata and reflection? Can I replace: var propertyInfo = typeof(MyClass).GetProperty("MyProperty") with something like: var propertyInfo = property(MyClass.MyProperty)

  • MKMapView maptype not changing!

    - by TheLearner
    I cannot understand why my MKMapView does not want to change to satellite view. This method is called and case 1 is called I have stepped over it but it simply does not change to satellite type it always changes to standard. It only works when it goes back to Map type. Anyone have any ideas? - (IBAction)mapSatelliteSegmentControlTapped:(UISegmentedControl *)sender { switch (sender.selectedSegmentIndex) { case 1: //Satellite self.mapView.mapType = MKMapTypeSatellite; default: //Map self.mapView.mapType = MKMapTypeStandard; } }

  • What is the meaning of client coordinates in SetWindowPos

    - by user1775315
    The documentation for SetWindowPos says the following for the X and Y parameters: X [in] Type: int The new position of the left side of the window, in client coordinates. Y [in] Type: int The new position of the top of the window, in client coordinates. By "client coordinates", does it mean that the parameters specify the position of the client area of the window, or that they specify the position of the window (not the client area) relative to the parent window's client area? Or something else?

  • conditionally enabling constructor

    - by MK
    Here is how I can conditionally enable a constructor of a class : struct Foo { template<class T> Foo( T* ptr, boost::enable_if<is_arithmetic<T> >::type* = NULL ) {} }; I would like to know why I need to do the enabling via a dummy parameter. Why can I not just write : struct Foo { template<class T> Foo( boost::enable_if<is_arithmetic<T>, T>::type* = NULL ) {} };

  • Can't get the new 2009 XAML primitives working, why?

    - by Will
    What I'd like to use: 2009 XAML primitives How it would be nice to use them: <sapv:ExpressionTextBox xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" ExpressionType="x:String" /> What actually happens: "Type reference cannot find the public type named String" The examples I see don't have updated namespaces. I tried 2009 and 2010, but to no avail. This is in VS 2010 RTM. What am I doing wrong?

  • Where to put the star in C and C++ pointer notation

    - by Martin Kristiansen
    For some time the following has been annoing me, where should I put the star in my pointer notation. int *var; // 1 and int* var; // 2 obviously do the same thing, and both notations are correct, but I find that most literature and code I look at use the 1th notation. wouldn't it be more 'correct' to use the 2th notation, separating the type and the variable name by a whitespace, rather than mixing the type and variable tokens?

Use case: I have my mobile phone connected via USB, Using gammu --sendsms TEXT I can write text messages. I have the phonebook as CSV, and want to search-as-i-type on that. What's the easiest/best way to do it? It might be in bash/zsh/Perl/Python or any other scripting language.

  • Export CSV from Mysql

    - by ss888
    Hi, I'm having a bit of trouble exporting a csv file that is created from one of my mysql tables using php. The code I'm using prints the correct data, but I can't see how to download this data in a csv file, providing a download link to the created file. I thought the browser was supposed to automatically provide the file for download, but it doesn't. (Could it be because the below code is called using ajax?) Any help greatly appreciated - code below, S. include('../config/config.php'); //db connection settings $query = "SELECT * FROM isregistered"; $export = mysql_query ($query ) or die ( "Sql error : " . mysql_error( ) ); $fields = mysql_num_fields ( $export ); for ( $i = 0; $i < $fields; $i++ ) { $header .= mysql_field_name( $export , $i ) . "\t"; } while( $row = mysql_fetch_row( $export ) ) { $line = ''; foreach( $row as $value ) { if ( ( !isset( $value ) ) || ( $value == "" ) ) { $value = "\t"; } else { $value = str_replace( '"' , '""' , $value ); $value = '"' . $value . '"' . "\t"; } $line .= $value; } $data .= trim( $line ) . "\n"; } $data = str_replace( "\r" , "" , $data ); if ( $data == "" ) { $data = "\n(0) Records Found!\n"; } //header("Content-type: application/octet-stream"); //have tried all of these at sometime //header("Content-type: text/x-csv"); header("Content-type: text/csv"); //header("Content-type: application/csv"); header("Content-Disposition: attachment; filename=export.csv"); //header("Content-Disposition: attachment; filename=export.xls"); header("Pragma: no-cache"); header("Expires: 0"); echo '<a href="">Download Exported Data</a>'; //want my link to go in here... print "$header\n$data";

  • Jquery question : maintain focus upon appending a row?

    - by PoppySeedsAndAppleJuice
    The function below checks whether the id entered is already in the database, and if it is, then it adds some html to the table. I'm not sure if it's directly related to my issue or not, but, essentially, a user will place the focus on the id input field and enters an id. Using ajax, it posts to a php script and returns data if rows are found and nothing if it doesn't. If the user then tabs over to the next input field (zipcode), or clicks in another input field, they essentially have to do so twice. The cursor "flashes" in the field briefly and then focuses out. I tried adding in a focus(), but the behavior didn't change. So, the html looks like this: <table id="tableSearchData" class="searchlist" style="width: 789px;"> <thead> <tr> <th>ID</th> <th>Zip Code</th> <th>Radius (in miles)</th> </tr> </thead> <tbody> <tr class="odd"> <!-- PROBLEM is described below --> <!-- User clicks in <input name="id[]"> and ID is checked --> <!-- User presses "tab" or clicks in <input name="zipcode[] (in the *same* row) and cursor flashes, then goes out of focus so that the user has to click in the field again --> <td class="center sorting_1"><input type="text" value="" name="id[]"></td> <td class="center"><input type="text" value="" name="zipcode[]"></td> <td class="center"><input type="text" value="" name="radius[]"></td> </tr> </tbody> </table> Here's the jquery function... Like I said, I'm not sure if it's directly related to the problem I'm having, but, thought I should include it because I suppose it's likely there is something happening there... $("#tableSearchData > tbody > tr > td > input[name=id[]]").focusout(function() { var row = $(this).closest("tr").get(0); var sData = $(this).serialize(); $.ajax({ type: "POST", url: "checkid.php", data: sData, success: function(html) { $(row).replaceWith(html); $(".preset").each(function() { $(this).attr("disabled", true); }); $(row).closest("input[name=zipcode[]]").focus(); } }); });

  • Declare java enum with a String array

    - by chama
    I'm trying to declare an enum type based on data that I'm retrieving from a database. I have a method that returns a string array of all the rows in the table that I want to make into an enumerated type. Is there any way to construct an enum with an array? This is what I tried, but from the way it looked in eclipse, it seemed like this just created a method by that name: public enum ConditionCodes{ Condition.getDescriptions(); } Thank you in advance!
