Is there a way to pass data from a View to a Controller so that I can get the data and create a .xls file on the fly?
Any help or thoughts are greatly appreciated.
Greg
I am presenting a UIViewController as a modal viewcontroller with modalPresentationStyle = UIModalPresentationFormSheet. I have few UITextFields on its view.
My issue is that when I try to dismiss the keyboard ([textfieldname resignFirstResponder]), it doesn't do anything. However when I change the modalPresentationStyle to UIModalPresentationPageSheet, it works.
This seems to be a bug. Has any one faced similar problems and found a work around? Could I be doing anything dumb and silly?
Hello,
I would like to add a custom view (a pager) in the dock, just before the trash and was wondering on how to perform a such task.
Do you have any pointer to help me to start?
Thanks in advance for your help :)
regards,
I'm trying to create a grouped table view with two sections. For the first section I would like the width to be only half the screen. For the second section it would be the standard width. Also, next to the first section I would like to put a button.
How is this done?
Thanks!
Hi,
I don't see a LINQ option when picking a data source for a grid view - any ideas?
I just upgraded to Visual Web Developer 2010. I see the other options like SQL etc.
Thanks!
I have an ejabberd xmpp pubsub server and I'd like to view the messages that have been published to specific nodes. Is there a way to accomplish this within the web admin; if not, how? Thanks much.
I've set up a view which combines all the data across several tables. Is there a way to write this so that only columns which contain non-null data are displayed, and those columns which contain all NULL values are not included?
I am trying to mock a view helper with rspec2. The old way of doing this throws an error, complaining the template object is not defined:
template.should_receive(:current_user).and_return(mock("user"))
Am I missing something here, or is this not implemented in rspec2 (yet)?
In the apple documentation, they show a notification where there's no view button, just an "OK" button.
How could I do this in my app.
does this have to be implemented in the payload code, or in the local app?
any help is appreciated, thanks!
Hi everyone,
I have a simple text_field in my form where a user enters a time in minutes, i.e. 60.
How can I multiply that number by 60 before saving the form, such that the database stores the number in seconds?
Then, how do I reverse that and show the field in minutes on another view?
Thank you!
Im wonder how to set the language code inside a view (in django).
Im sending a HttpResponse that contains a python-date.strftime("%A") %A = The day (ex: Monday). But I want to get the day in swedish instead of english.
Hi everyone,
I need to create a custom settings view used within the app. The app is a mockup so it actually does have one already, it uses a UITableViewCellStyleValue1, but nothing is editable. So essentially what I would like to have is the same thing but with editable detailTextLabel (the label on the right hand side), what's the best way to do this?
I generally like the View Persistor in the Three20 URLNavigation, however, I would like to exclude a few Controllers so they can't be the the first controller to show when the app loads. how can i do that?
I'm only supporting the portrait orientation, but both the right-side-up and upside-down versions. Why do my subviews not resize appropriately? There's a status bar sized black space at the top of the view. If I change tabs and come back, it's corrected.
Trying to decide on the best element to use for a grid view, pretty much exactly like the one you'd see in uTorrent or any other upload/download client. Specifically, I want to have a 'progress' column too (with progress bars). Using VS2010/.NET4. What would you recommend?
Heya,
I'm fetching a page using ajax (jquery) and appending certain data to the Requests query string to let the server know it shouldn't render the entire Page, just the view in question to the output buffer. I'm having no luck though, I can detect when the page needs to be rendered partially, but everything I've tried so far (including stuff like return PartialView()) isn't working.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
Hello there - I create a new project using splitview template (iPad).
So far so good. What I am trying to accomplish now it have my own view (which in a NIB) in popupview controller.
By default the template provides the table which I don't want to use.
How can I do that?
I have a grouped table view that does not need to scroll. I'd like each cell to highlight as the user moves their finger down the screen and call didSelectRowAtIndexPath on release.
This behaviour can be seen done by apple in 'settings mail add account'?
I can't seem to replicate it myself, all I can get is the default, where the cell deselects as soon as the user moves their finger.
I have an UITabBarController with two tabs:
UINavigationController
OptionsViewController : UIViewController
How can I reach data (ie. UILabel.text) set in OptionsViewController, in a new added modal View which has been invoked from UINavigationController?
In my app I've been using the now deprecated shouldAutoRotateToFace method. Now when using the iOS 6 simulator, all of my subviews are rotated to portrait orientation while the device is in landscape. Does anyone have any idea what could cause this? I've already tried replacing should autorotate in my main view controller with the supportedOrientations method (or whatever it is that you're now supposed to use instead).
example: i need the numbers of which the sum of the amount where id = 1 is not equal of the sum of the amount where id < 1, together with the id's and difference.
The table (view in this case) may look like this:
NUMBER AMOUNT ID
0001 500 1
0001 500 2
0002 400 3
0003 299 1
0003 300 3
0003 300 3
Many thanks for your help on this one.
