The "Build and analyze" option doesn't seem to work for .cpp and .mm files. I tried "clang --analyze" on individual files without any standard #includes and it works well. However I'm not able to run it on my Xcode project. I couldn't figure out a way to make clang find the standard #includes like even UIKit.h. Any clues?
I understand it should cover threading primitives (mutex, semaphore, condition variables etc.) plus design patterns (such as those specified in POSA2). But what's more? Every project has its own multithreading scenarios and one may have not dealt with those that the job is expecting?. So how does one build their knowledge and prove that they have the ability?
I have an array of NSStrings:
Flower
Car
Tree
Cat
Shoe
Some of these strings have images associated with them; some don't. I can build an image name by appending .png to the name (e.g. Flower.png).
How do I check whether that image actually exists within the bundle before I try to load it into the view?
hi .. im want to learn how to build a web service using vb.net.

I'm trying to build a REST API on top of django running on Google AppEngine.
Is there a FW with similar offering to piston (or a piston fork?) that can run on AppEngine models rather than on django's models?
I need to build a function which parses the domain from a url.
So:
http://google.com/dhasjkdas/sadsdds/sdda/sdads.html
or
http://www.google.com/dhasjkdas/sadsdds/sdda/sdads.html
Would become "google.com" and
http://google.co.uk/dhasjkdas/sadsdds/sdda/sdads.html
would become "google.co.uk"
Hi
Given a list of dates (which may not be sorted), I want to build a list of date ranges -
E.g. Assuming MM/DD format,
Input - 5/1, 5/5, 5/6, 5/15, 5/7, 5/8, 5/19,5/20, 5/23
Output -
Date Range 1: 5/1 to 5/1
Date Range 2: 5/5 to 5/8
Date Range 3: 5/15 to 5/15
Date Range 4: 5/19 to 5/20
Date Range 5: 5/23 to 5/23
Basically, a range should be continuous.
Thanks

How can view the execution line used by netbean v6.8 to execute my java application when I press the run program button (right pointing green arrow)? I'm looking for something like:
java -cp build/class Main
I'm trying to make the jump to java IDE developement from 15 years writing c and c++ with vi. I'm starting with netbean since it seems to have the best vi key bindings.
Model Item belongs_to User.
In my controller I have code like this:
@items = Item.find(:all)
I need to have a corresponding User models for each item in my View templates.
it works in controller(but not in View template):
@items.each { |item| item.user }
But manual looping just to build associations for View template kinda smells.
How can I do this not in a creepy way?
take this simple code:
class A{
public:
virtual void foo() = 0;
void x(){ foo(); }
};
class B: public A{ foo(){ ... } };
main(){
B b;
b.x();
}
What I want is to build an abstract class that will have a function that will call a function expecting it to be implemented in the derived class
Thanks,
Jonathan
We are developing in vb.net using Visual Studio 2008 and a SQL 2005 back end database and are looking for a Report Designer that can be used to build reports and give the User the ability to modify and create reports once the software is sold and in use.
If I have functionality like the following - will ReturnParts() get called for each iteration in a foreach loop, or will it get called just the once?
private void PrintParts()
{
foreach(string part in ReturnParts())
{
// Do Something or other.
}
}
private string[] ReturnParts()
{
// Build up and return an array.
}
In Visual studio 2008 is it possible to have a resource file that is included as a separate file after compilation rather than as an embedded resource. This is to enable small changes to be rolled out more easily.
I have tried build options of Resource, None, Compile and also copy local on and off for most of these. However when ever I try access the resource at run time I get a cannot find resource exception.
Is this actually possible or am I wasting my time?
Hi,
I would like to know how can I embedd a code source file (if possible), something like that:
class X
{
include "ClassXsource"
}
My second question - Can I build DLL or something like that for my colleagues to use? I need them to be able to call methods from my "part" but do not modify or view their content. Basically just use namespace "MyNamespace" and call its methods, but I have never done anything like that.
Thanks
Hi there I have build a project with visual studio 2010 but I now need to open it using an older version vs2008. Is this possible by just changing the target framework to .net 3.5?
I am working in Joomla trying to build a skillsbank. I am wondering if there exists any open-source module on the net that supports this operation. Can anyone help me please
I'm trying to mock a class method with rspec:
lib/db.rb
class Db
def self.list(options)
Db::Payload.list(options)
end
end
lib/db/payload.rb
class Db::Payload
def self.list(options={})
end
end
In my spec, I'm trying to setup the expectation Db::Payload.list will be called when I call Db.list:
describe Db do
before(:each) do
@options = {}
Db::Payload.should_receive(:list).with(@options)
end
it 'should build the LIST payload' do
Db.list(@options)
end
end
The problem is that I am always receiving the following error:
undefined method `should_receive' for Db::Payload:Class
Any help understanding this error would be most appreciated :-)
i read it was going to be changed to 520px in early 2010, but i keep seeing pages that are new that are the older 760px width - is it safe to build at the wider width still or should we be building at 520px?
Hi folks,
I have a little program allowing users to type-in some regular expressions. afterwards i like to check if this input is a valid regex or not.
I'm wondering if there is a build-in method in Java, but could not find such jet.
Can you give me some advice?
Best regards
Phil
Using the build and analyze of XCode I saw i have a memory leak in my code:
- (NSString *) doIt
{
NSString *var = [[NSString alloc] init];
return var;
}
This is of course a simplified snippet of my problem
where do i release the object?
function FakeClass(){};
FakeClass.prototype.someMethod = function(){};
FakeClass.prototype.otherMethod = function(){
//need to call someMethod() here.
}
I need to call someMethod from otherMethod, but apparently it doesn't work. If i build it as a single function (not prototyped), i can call it, but calling a prototyped does not work. How can i do it as if i was treating the function just like a class method?
I am building a website on top of nhibernate. Is there any efficient way to build reports? BY reports, I mean is there anyway to execute a complicated query that grabs random pieces of data? StoreProcedures? Hql?
Can I get single, non mapped values from hql?
You build it for FF, then you hack it for IE.
Take a look here:
http://jbhstad.se/NicklasSandell/
Anyone knows what's up with IE? The menu seems to have a gap between for some reason, and the entire site is floated left?
Thanks in advance,

I need to build a Java app with considerable IO requirements, supporting tens of thousands of concurrent TCP connections.
I found a library called Raining Sockets which seems intended to make it easier to use Java's asynchronous NIO package, but the last update was 6 years ago.
Are there other libraries, that are preferably still under active development, and with a public maven repository, that I should look at?
