  • Not really a quaestion...but i need help

    I have to make a process in Oracle/PLSQL.....i have to verify that the interval of time between start_date and end_date from a new row that i create must not intersect other start_dates and end_dates from other rows. Now I need to check each row for that condition and if it doesn't correspond the repetitive instruction should stop and after that to display a message such as "The interval of time given is not correct". I don't know how to make repetitive instructions in Oracle/PLSQL and I would appreciate if you would help me.

I'd like to take this precaution because of hosting multiple drupal systems.     Hello, I have set up an array of censored words and I want to check that a user submitted comment doesn't contain any of these words. What is the most efficient way of doing this? All I've come up with so far is splitting the string into an array of words and checking it against the array of censored words, but I've a feeling there's a neater way of doing this.

The binary itself can check for syntax errors, but I'm looking for something that does more, like unused variable assignments, arrays that are assigned into without being initialized first, and possibly code style warnings. Open-source programs would be preferred, but we might convince the company to pay for something if it's highly recommended.
