  • Transition Player Position

    - by Lycrios
I'm currently working on a java MMO with a pretty solid start, but I've come across an issue I need a little help with. I'm working on player position's. Meaning there X/Y on the screen, if the PlayerA has a higher FPS(Frames Per Second) then other players, the resulting action will be that PlayerA will move faster than everyone else. I know the reasoning for this, it's because when the game draws I just use: x++; What would a better method be?

  • Game-over! Gaining Physical access to a computer

Security requires defense in depth. The cleverest intrusion detection system, combined with the best antivirus, won’t help you if a malicious person can gain physical access to your PC or server. Can I have some help? I tried to install Ubuntu 12.04 on my laptop, that has some partitions: 2 ntfs (one of them is restricted by the system) 2 ext4s 1 Linux swap But when I insert my CD, and run liveCD (as I am now), the installer can't see any of my partitions, it can see only /dev/sda as unallocated place, so does gparted (Fdisk seems ok). • configure postfix to send as different domains

    - by Cerales
I have postfix configured to receive mail for multiple domains. The primary domain goes through a standard postfix setup, whereas a secondary domain is handed by a /etc/postfix/virtual.db file which maps addresses for the secondary domain to other unix users. Incoming mail works perfectly, but when I send mail as users on the secondary domain, the mail receiver still sees it as coming from [unix username]@[primarydomain].net. Can anyone help me figure out how to configure the virtual postfix domain to send mail through the same domain it receives it as?

  • Defining pages by custom variable, reporting to Google Analytics

    - by zwolfson
Does anyone know how I could add some information to my page (whether in a meta tag or some other way) to indicate to Google Analytics that a page is targeted to a certain segment? This is pretty straightforward on my main site where everything is set up in hierarchy by target user so I can just use the URL to filter the data. However for my subdomains, its a flat structure that's just a bunch of landing and conversion pages so I can't use the URL. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks
