  • How to programmatically start a WPF application from a unit test?

    - by Lernkurve
Problem VS2010 and TFS2010 support creating so-called Coded UI Tests. All the demos I have found, start with the WPF application already running in the background when the Coded UI Test begins or the EXE is started using the absolute path to it. I, however, would like to start my WPF application under test from the unit test code. That way it'll also work on the build server and on my peer's working copies. How do I accomplish that? My discoveries so far a) This post shows how to start a XAML window. But that's not what I want. I want to start the App.xaml because it contains XAML resources and there is application logic in the code behind file. b) The second screenshot on this post shows a line starting with ApplicationUnterTest calculatorWindow = ApplicationUnderTest.Launch(...); which is conceptually pretty much what I am looking for, except that again this example uses an absolute path the the executable file. c) A Google search for "Programmatically start WPF" didn't help either.

  • little more help with a CATiledLayer

    - by Brodie4598
    Okay so I am trying to adapt an online tutorial for CATiledLayer to use in my app. The example uses a PDF but I need to display a JPG. I'm getting close, but I just cant figure this out. Should I be using a UIImage or something else? #import <QuartzCore/QuartzCore.h> #import "practiceViewController.h" @implementation practiceViewController - (void)viewDidLoad { [super viewDidLoad]; NSBundle *bundle = [[NSBundle mainBundle]autorelease]; NSString *path = [bundle pathForResource:@"H-5" ofType:@"jpg"]; NSData *data = [NSData dataWithContentsOfFile:path]; image = [UIImage imageWithData:data]; CGRect pageRect = CGRectMake(0, 0, 1600, 2400); CATiledLayer *tiledLayer = [CATiledLayer layer]; tiledLayer.delegate = self; tiledLayer.tileSize = CGSizeMake(1024.0, 1024.0); tiledLayer.levelsOfDetail = 1000; tiledLayer.levelsOfDetailBias = 1000; tiledLayer.frame = pageRect; myContentView = [[UIView alloc] initWithFrame:pageRect]; [myContentView.layer addSublayer:tiledLayer]; CGRect viewFrame = self.view.frame; viewFrame.origin = CGPointZero; UIScrollView *scrollView = [[UIScrollView alloc] initWithFrame:viewFrame]; scrollView.delegate = self; scrollView.contentSize = pageRect.size; scrollView.maximumZoomScale = 1000; [scrollView addSubview:myContentView]; [self.view addSubview:scrollView]; } - (UIView *)viewForZoomingInScrollView:(UIScrollView *)scrollView { return myContentView; } - (void)drawLayer:(CALayer *)layer inContext:(CGContextRef)ctx { NEED HE:LP WITH THIS } @end

  • Detect user logout / shutdown in Python / GTK under Linux - SIGTERM/HUP not received

    - by Ivo Wetzel
OK this is presumably a hard one, I've got an pyGTK application that has random crashes due to X Window errors that I can't catch/control. So I created a wrapper that restarts the app as soon as it detects a crash, now comes the problem, when the user logs out or shuts down the system, the app exits with status 1. But on some X errors it does so too. So I tried literally anything to catch the shutdown/logout, with no success, here's what I've tried: import pygtk import gtk import sys class Test(gtk.Window): def delete_event(self, widget, event, data=None): open("delete_event", "wb") def destroy_event(self, widget, data=None): open("destroy_event", "wb") def destroy_event2(self, widget, event, data=None): open("destroy_event2", "wb") def __init__(self): gtk.Window.__init__(self, gtk.WINDOW_TOPLEVEL) self.show() self.connect("delete_event", self.delete_event) self.connect("destroy", self.destroy_event) self.connect("destroy-event", self.destroy_event2) def foo(): open("add_event", "wb") def ex(): open("sys_event", "wb") from signal import * def clean(sig): f = open("sig_event", "wb") f.write(str(sig)) f.close() exit(0) for sig in (SIGABRT, SIGILL, SIGINT, SIGSEGV, SIGTERM): signal(sig, lambda *args: clean(sig)) def at(): open("at_event", "wb") import atexit atexit.register(at) f = Test() sys.exitfunc = ex gtk.quit_add(gtk.main_level(), foo) gtk.main() open("exit_event", "wb") Not one of these succeeds, is there any low level way to detect the system shutdown? Google didn't find anything related to that. I guess there must be a way, am I right? :/ EDIT: OK, more stuff. I've created this shell script: #!/bin/bash trap test_term TERM trap test_hup HUP test_term(){ echo "teeeeeeeeeerm" >~/Desktop/term.info exit 0 } test_hup(){ echo "huuuuuuuuuuup" >~/Desktop/hup.info exit 1 } while [ true ] do echo "idle..." sleep 2 done And also created a .desktop file to run it: [Desktop Entry] Name=Kittens GenericName=Kittens Comment=Kitten Script Exec=kittens StartupNotify=true Terminal=false Encoding=UTF-8 Type=Application Categories=Network;GTK; Name[de_DE]=Kittens Normally this should create the term file on logout and the hup file when it has been started with &. But not on my System. GDM doesn't care about the script at all, when I relog, it's still running. I've also tried using shopt -s huponexit, with no success. EDIT2: Also here's some more information aboute the real code, the whole thing looks like this: Wrapper Script, that catches errors and restarts the programm -> Main Programm with GTK Mainloop -> Background Updater Thread The flow is like this: Start Wrapper -> enter restart loop while restarts < max: -> start program -> check return code -> write error to file or exit the wrapper on 0 Now on shutdown, start program return 1. That means either it did hanup or the parent process terminated, the main problem is to figure out which of these two did just happen. X Errors result in a 1 too. Trapping in the shellscript doesn't work. If you want to take a look at the actual code check it out over at GitHub: http://github.com/BonsaiDen/Atarashii

  • Binding to an ObservableCollection attached property.

    - by bwreichle
I want to create an attached property of type ObservableCollection<Notification> and bind it to a property of the same type on the DataContext. Currently I have: internal static class Squiggle { public static readonly DependencyProperty NotificationsProperty = DependencyProperty.RegisterAttached( "Notifications", typeof(ObservableCollection<Notification>), typeof(TextBox), new FrameworkPropertyMetadata(null, NotificationsPropertyChanged, CoerceNotificationsPropertyValue)); public static void SetNotifications(TextBox textBox, ObservableCollection<Notification> value) { textBox.SetValue(NotificationsProperty, value); } public static ObservableCollection<Notification> GetNotifications(TextBox textBox) { return (ObservableCollection<Notification>)textBox.GetValue(NotificationsProperty); } ... } With the following XAML: <TextBox x:Name="configTextBox" Text="{Binding Path=ConfigText, UpdateSourceTrigger=PropertyChanged}" AcceptsReturn="True" AcceptsTab="True" local:Squiggle.Notifications="{Binding Path=Notifications}" /> Unfortunatly, when I actually run this I get an exception stating: A 'Binding' cannot be used within a 'TextBox' collection. A 'Binding' can only be set on a DependencyProperty of a DependencyObject. This only seems to be a problem when the attached property is of type ObservableCollection so it seems like WPF is trying to do something magical when binding properties of this type and getting confused in the process. Anyone know what I need to do to make it work?

  • WebLogic job scheduling

    - by XpiritO
Hello, overflowers :) I'm trying to implement a WebLogic job scheduling example, to test my cluster capabilities of fail-over on scheduled tasks (to ensure that these tasks are executed on fail over scenario). With this in mind, I've been following this example and trying to configure everything accordingly. Here are the steps I've done so far: Configured a cluster with 1 admin server (AdminServer) and 2 managed instances (Noddy and Snoopy); Set up database tables (using Oracle XE): ACTIVE and WEBLOGIC_TIMERS; Set up data source to access DB and associated it to the scheduling tasks under "Settings for cluster" "Scheduling"; Implemented a job (TimerListener) and a servlet to initialize the job scheduling, as follows: . package timedexecution; import java.io.IOException; import java.io.PrintWriter; import java.io.Serializable; import java.text.SimpleDateFormat; import java.util.Date; import javax.naming.InitialContext; import javax.naming.NamingException; import javax.servlet.ServletException; import javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet; import javax.servlet.http.HttpServletRequest; import javax.servlet.http.HttpServletResponse; import commonj.timers.Timer; import commonj.timers.TimerListener; import commonj.timers.TimerManager; public class TimerServlet extends HttpServlet { private static final long serialVersionUID = 1L; protected static void logMessage(String message, PrintWriter out){ out.write("<p>"+ message +"</p>"); System.out.println(message); } @Override public void service(HttpServletRequest request, HttpServletResponse response) throws ServletException, IOException { PrintWriter out = response.getWriter(); // out.println("<html>"); out.println("<head><title>TimerServlet</title></head>"); // try { // logMessage("service() entering try block to intialize the timer from JNDI", out); // InitialContext ic = new InitialContext(); TimerManager jobScheduler = (TimerManager)ic.lookup("weblogic.JobScheduler"); // logMessage("jobScheduler reference " + jobScheduler, out); // jobScheduler.schedule(new ExampleTimerListener(), 0, 30*1000); // logMessage("Timer scheduled!", out); // //execute this job every 30 seconds logMessage("service() started the timer", out); // logMessage("Started the timer - status:", out); // } catch (NamingException ne) { String msg = ne.getMessage(); logMessage("Timer schedule failed!", out); logMessage(msg, out); } catch (Throwable t) { logMessage("service() error initializing timer manager with JNDI name weblogic.JobScheduler " + t,out); } // out.println("</body></html>"); out.close(); } private static class ExampleTimerListener implements Serializable, TimerListener { private static final long serialVersionUID = 8313912206357147939L; public void timerExpired(Timer timer) { SimpleDateFormat sdf = new SimpleDateFormat(); System.out.println( "timerExpired() called at " + sdf.format( new Date() ) ); } } } Then I executed the servlet to start the scheduling on the first managed instance (Noddy server), which returned as expected: (Servlet execution output) service() entering try block to intialize the timer from JNDI jobScheduler reference weblogic.scheduler.TimerServiceImpl@43b4c7 Timer scheduled! service() started the timer Started the timer - status: Which resulted in the creation of 2 rows in my DB tables: WEBLOGIC_TIMERS table state after servlet execution: "EDIT"; "TIMER_ID"; "LISTENER"; "START_TIME"; "INTERVAL"; "TIMER_MANAGER_NAME"; "DOMAIN_NAME"; "CLUSTER_NAME"; ""; "Noddy_1268653040156"; "[datatype]"; "1268653040156"; "30000"; "weblogic.JobScheduler"; "myCluster"; "Cluster" ACTIVE table state after servlet execution: "EDIT"; "SERVER"; "INSTANCE"; "DOMAINNAME"; "CLUSTERNAME"; "TIMEOUT"; ""; "service.SINGLETON_MASTER"; "6382071947583985002/Noddy"; "QRENcluster"; "Cluster"; "10.03.15" Although, the job is not executed as scheduled. It should print a message on the server's log output (Noddy.out file) with a timestamp, saying that the timer had expired. It doesn't. • How do I use Powershell to print a list of hyperlinks that appear in a Word document?

    - by dwwilson66
I asked this question last week, and my script cannot find any hyperlinks to change. Now I'm backing up and trying to simply open a single document and list the hyperlinks within. I've verified that the document includes hyperlinks to a number of anchors in the same document, and two hyperlinks to documents in the same directory. However, either Powershell isn't finding links in the doc or I'm outputting the list to the console improperly. Here's my bare-bones code $word = New-Object -ComObject Word.Application $doc ="R:\path\Reporting_Emergency_Or_Hazardous_Situation_-_BC_CC.doc" $hyperlinks = @($doc.Hyperlinks) $hyperlinks $word.quit() or, for line 4 Write-Host $hyperlinks or, again for line 4 $hyperlinks | % {Write-Host $_.address} No errors, just blank results. Not even an object reference to the $hyperlinks array. When I modify line 4 to % $address in $hyperlinks { Write-Host $._address } I get the following error...but it's unclear if I'm trying to read a null array? or if the value is blank. ForEach-Object : Cannot bind parameter 'Process'. Cannot convert the "in" value of type "System.String" to type "System.Management.Automation.ScriptBlock". At F:\path\HyperLinkScrub.ps1:46 char:2 + % <<<< $address in $hyperlinks { + CategoryInfo : InvalidArgument: (:) [ForEach-Object], ParameterBindingException + FullyQualifiedErrorId : CannotConvertArgumentNoMessage,Microsoft.PowerShell.Commands.ForEachObjectCommand What am I missing here? I've verified that the Word doc has hyperlinks, and ultimately, I'm trying to diagnose if my script isn't looking for them properly, or if I'm not outputting them to the console properly.

  • Undefined reference to 'glib'

    - by dali1985
I would like to parse a config file using glib in Codeblocks which I use. So I want to do exactly the example which is described here first. I have a file named myconfig.cfg and and a code programming.c. I just copy and paste the code to see if glib works but unfortunately it does not work. I did the installation of glib2.0 using sudo apt-get, I found where are the libs in glibs using pkg-config --cflags --libs glib-2.0 and in this path project->Build Options->Compiler Settings-> Other Options I added -I/usr/include/glib-2.0 -I/usr/lib/arm-linuxgnuebihf/glib-2.0/include When I build and run the programming.c I have these errors -------------- Build: Debug in programming --------------- gcc -Wall -g -I/usr/include/glib-2.0 -I/usr/lib/arm-linux-gnueabihf/glib-2.0/include -std=c99 -c /home/pi/Desktop/programming/main.c -o obj/Debug/main.o g++ -o bin/Debug/programming obj/Debug/main.o /usr/lib/libmysqlclient.so.16 obj/Debug/main.o: In function `main': /home/pi/Desktop/programming/main.c:22: undefined reference to `g_key_file_new' /home/pi/Desktop/programming/main.c:26: undefined reference to `g_key_file_load_from_file' /home/pi/Desktop/programming/main.c:28: undefined reference to `g_log' /home/pi/Desktop/programming/main.c:34: undefined reference to `g_slice_alloc' /home/pi/Desktop/programming/main.c:37: undefined reference to `g_key_file_get_string' /home/pi/Desktop/programming/main.c:39: undefined reference to `g_key_file_get_locale_string' /home/pi/Desktop/programming/main.c:41: undefined reference to `g_key_file_get_boolean_list' /home/pi/Desktop/programming/main.c:43: undefined reference to `g_key_file_get_integer_list' /home/pi/Desktop/programming/main.c:45: undefined reference to `g_key_file_get_string_list' /home/pi/Desktop/programming/main.c:47: undefined reference to `g_key_file_get_integer' /home/pi/Desktop/programming/main.c:49: undefined reference to `g_key_file_get_double_list' collect2: ld returned 1 exit status Process terminated with status 1 (0 minutes, 6 seconds) 11 errors, 0 warnings Am I missing something? I tried also to do in the same way with libconfig but again I have undefined reference. Is the problem the path?

  • NSFileManager works fine on simulator but not on device

    - by Jenicek
Hi, I have problem creating directories and files with NSFileManager on the iPhone device. My code, shown below, works fine on the simulator, but not on the device, could you please help me? Gimme some directions where the problem may be, thanks for every reply.. I'm first creating directories this way: NSFileManager *fileMgr = [NSFileManager defaultManager]; NSArray *arPaths = NSSearchPathForDirectoriesInDomains(NSDownloadsDirectory, NSUserDomainMask, YES); NSString *appPath = [[NSString alloc] init]; appPath = [arPaths objectAtIndex:0]; strDownloadsDir = [[NSString alloc] init]; strDownloadsDir = [[appPath stringByAppendingPathComponent:@"/Other"] copy]; if(![fileMgr fileExistsAtPath:strDownloadsDir]) [fileMgr createDirectoryAtPath:strDownloadsDir attributes:nil]; and then I'm trying to create new file in this directory this way: NSString *filePath = [strDownloadsDir stringByAppendingPathComponent:strDlFileName]; //Test whether this file exists, if not, create it NSLog(@"%@", filePath); if(![fileMgr fileExistsAtPath:filePath]) { if([fileMgr createFileAtPath:filePath contents:nil attributes:nil]) NSLog(@"Creating new file at path %@", filePath); else NSLog(@"Failed to create new file."); } It seems that there's something wrong with whole NSFileManager, because when I'm using fileExistAtPath with a path given by this NSArray *arPaths = NSSearchPathForDirectoriesInDomains(NSDownloadsDirectory, NSUserDomainMask, YES); NSString *appPath = [[NSString alloc] init]; appPath = [arPaths objectAtIndex:0]; it is not working too, I tried to change directory to NSDocumentsDirectory but it did not help

  • Silverlight - Access the Layout Grid's DataContext in a DataGrid CellTemplate's DataTemplate?

    - by Sudeep
Hi, I am using Silverlight 3 to develop an application. In my app, I have a layout Grid (named "LayoutGrid") in which I have a DataGrid (named "PART_datagrid") with DataGridTemplateColumns. The LayoutGrid is set a DataContext in which there is a Ladders list as a property. This Ladders list is set as the ItemsSource for the PART_datagrid. <Grid x:Name="LayoutRoot"> <DataGrid x:Name="PART_datagrid" ItemsSource="{Binding Ladders}"> ... <DataGridTemplateColumn> <DataGridTemplateColumn.CellTemplate> <DataTemplate> <Button Name="DeleteLadder" Click.Command="{Binding ElementName=LayoutRoot, Path=DataContext.DeleteLadderCommand}" /> Now in one of the DataGridTemplateColumns I have a button which should invoke a Command thats present in the LayoutGrid's DataContext. So I tried Element-To-Element binding on my DataTemplate button as follows <Button Name="DeleteLadder" Click.Command="{Binding ElementName=LayoutRoot, Path=DataContext.DeleteLadderCommand}" /> But this does not seem to work. What I want to achieve is to handle the event of deletion of a DataGrid row at the parent DataContext level using the command. Can someone pls suggest how do I proceed on this? Thanks in advance...

  • MKMapView memory usage grows out of control with setRegion: calls

    - by Kurt
Hi, I have a single MKMapView instance that I have programmatically added to a UIView. As part of the UI, the user can cycle through a list of addresses and the map view is updated to show the correct map for each address as the user goes through them. I create the map view once, and simply change what it displays with setRegion:animated:. The problem is that each time the map is changed to show a new address, the memory usage of my program increases by 200K-500K (as reported by Memory Monitor in Instruments). According to Object Allocations, it appears that a lot of 1.0K Mallocs are happening each time, and the Extended Detail pane for these 1.0K allocations shows that the Responsible Caller is convert_image_data and the Extended Detail pane shows that this is the result of [MKMapTileView drawLayer:inContext:]. So, seems likely to me that the memory usage is due to MKMapView not freeing memory it uses to redraw the map each time. In fact, when I don't display the map at all (by not even adding it as a subview of my main UIView) but still cycle through the addresses (which changes various UILabels and other displayed info) the memory usage for the app does NOT increase. If I add the map view but never update it with setRegion:, the memory also does NOT increase when changing to a new address. One more bit of info: if I go to a new address (and therefore ask the map to display the new address) the memory jumps as described above. However, if I go back to an address that was already displayed, the memory does not jump when the map redraws with the old address. Also, this happens on iPad (real device) with 3.2 and on iPhone (again, real device) with 3.1.2. Here's how I initialize the MKMapView (I only do this once): CGRect mapFrame; mapFrame.origin.y = 460; // yes, magic numbers. just for testing. mapFrame.origin.x = 0; mapFrame.size.height = 500; mapFrame.size.width = 768; mapView = [[MKMapView alloc] initWithFrame:mapFrame]; mapView.delegate = self; [self.view insertSubview:mapView atIndex:0]; And in response to the user selecting an address, I set the map like so: MKCoordinateRegion region; MKCoordinateSpan span; span.latitudeDelta=kStreetMapSpan; // 0.003 span.longitudeDelta=kStreetMapSpan; // 0.003 region.center = address.coords; // coords is CLLocationCoordinate2D region.span = span; mapView.region.span = span; [mapView setRegion:region animated:NO]; Any thoughts? I've scoured the net but haven't seen mention of this problem, and I've reached the limits of my Instruments knowledge. Thanks for any ideas.

  • Using Ninject 2.0 with ASP .Net 3.5

    - by GK
Hi, I am trying to use Ninject 2.0 with Asp .Net 3.5 web application. Following are the DLLS and it's versions I am using. Ninject.dll - v2.0.0.0 Ninject.Extensions.Logging.dll v2.0.0.0 Ninject.Web.dll v1.0.0.0 In my global.ascx.cs I have following method. protected override IKernel CreateKernel() { IKernel kernel = new StandardKernel(); kernel.Bind<IDataAccess>().To<DataAccessEntBlock>().InSingletonScope(); return kernel; } When I run the application I get following error. Error activating ILoggerFactory No matching bindings are available, and the type is not self-bindable. Activation path: 1) Request for ILoggerFactory Suggestions: 1) Ensure that you have defined a binding for ILoggerFactory. 2) If the binding was defined in a module, ensure that the module has been loaded into the kernel. 3) Ensure you have not accidentally created more than one kernel. 4) If you are using automatic module loading, ensure the search path and filters are correct. I am not understanding even though I am not trying to register Logger, it seems it is trying to create it's own. How can I resolve this error ? Do I have to use any of the Ninject's extension Logger ? Thanks GK

  • HRESULT of 0x806D0005 from Microsoft's Dia2Lib

    - by Aeolien
I'm trying to read a PDB file into a C# application. When I call loadDataFromPdb or loadAndValidateDataFromPdb with a file that I know exists, I get an HRESULT of 0x806D0005. Unfortunately, I have no idea what that means. I have the list of possible results [here](http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/2008hf0e(v=VS.80).aspx) but I'm afraid I can't conclusively determine the problem. Does anybody know what I'm doing wrong? Or at least a method of checking what that corresponds to? Exception: System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x806D0005): Exception from HRESULT: 0x806D0005 at Dia2Lib.DiaSourceClass.loadDataFromPdb(String pdbPath) Code Sample: public static void LoadSymbolsForModule(uint baseAddress, uint size, uint timeStamp, DM_PDB_SIGNATURE signature) { IDiaDataSource m_source = new DiaSourceClass(); //m_source.loadAndValidateDataFromPdb(signature.path, ref signature.guid, 0, signature.age); m_source.loadDataFromPdb(signature.path); IDiaSession m_session; m_source.openSession(out m_session); m_session.loadAddress = baseAddress; modules.Add(new Module(baseAddress, size, m_session)); } Thanks in advance, guys. This problem has been killing me all day.

  • Intellij Javafx artifact - how do you make it?

    - by Louis Sayers
I've been trying all day to turn my javafx application into a jar file. I'm using Java 1.7 update 7. Oracle has some information, but it just seems scattered all over the place. Intellij is almost doing the job, but I get the following error: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: javafx/application/Application Which seems to say that I need to tell java where the jfxrt.jar is... If I add this jar to my classpath info for the manifest build in intellij - ctrl+shift+alt+s - Artifacts - Output Layout tab - Class Path, then I get another error: Could not find or load main class com.downloadpinterest.code.Main It seems strange to have to include jfxrt.jar in my class path though... I've tried to create an ant script as well, but I feel like IntelliJ is 90% of the way there - and I just need a bit of help to figure out why I need to include jfxrt.jar, and why my Main class isn't being found (I'm guessing I need to add it to the classpath somehow?). Could anyone clue me up as to what is happening? I had a basic gui before which worked fine, but JavaFX seems to be making life complicated!

  • ListView + MultipleSelect + MVVM = ?

    - by Dave
If I were to say "the heck with it!", I could just give my ListView with SelectionMode="Multiple" a name, and be able to get all of the selected items very easily. But I'm trying to stick to MVVM as much as possible, and I want to somehow databind to an ObservableCollection that holds the value from the Name column for each selected item. How in the world do you do this? Single selection is simple, but the multi selection solution is not obvious to me with my current WPF / MVVM knowledge. I read this question on SO, and while it does give me some good insight, I don't know how to add the necessary binding to a row, because I am using a ListView with a GridView as its View, not a ListBox. Here's what my XAML basically looks like: <ListView DockPanel.Dock="Top" ItemsSource="{Binding ClientPreview}" SelectionMode="Multiple"> <ListView.View> <GridView AllowsColumnReorder="False"> <GridViewColumn Header="Name"> <GridViewColumn.CellTemplate> <DataTemplate> <TextBlock Text="{Binding Path=Name}" /> </DataTemplate> </GridViewColumn.CellTemplate> </GridViewColumn> <GridViewColumn Header="Address"> <GridViewColumn.CellTemplate> <DataTemplate> <TextBlock Text="{Binding Path=Address}" /> </DataTemplate> </GridViewColumn.CellTemplate> </GridViewColumn> </GridView> </ListView.View> </ListView> It sounds like the right thing to do is to databind each row's IsSelected property to each object stored in the ObservableCollection I'm databinding to. I just haven't figured out how to do this.

  • Dynamic Programming Recursion and a sprinkle of Memoization

    - by Auburnate
I have this massive array of ints from 0-4 in this triangle. I am trying to learn dynamic programming with Ruby and would like some assistance in calculating the number of paths in the triangle that meet three criterion: You must start at one of the zero points in the row with 70 elements. Your path can be directly above you one row (if there is a number directly above) or one row up heading diagonal to the left. One of these options is always available The sum of the path you take to get to the zero on the first row must add up to 140. Example, start at the second zero in the bottom row. You can move directly up to the one or diagonal left to the 4. In either case, the number you arrive at must be added to the running count of all the numbers you have visited. From the 1 you can travel to a 2 (running sum = 3) directly above or to the 0 (running sum = 1) diagonal to the left. 0 41 302 2413 13024 024130 4130241 30241302 241302413 1302413024 02413024130 413024130241 3024130241302 24130241302413 130241302413024 0241302413024130 41302413024130241 302413024130241302 2413024130241302413 13024130241302413024 024130241302413024130 4130241302413024130241 30241302413024130241302 241302413024130241302413 1302413024130241302413024 02413024130241302413024130 413024130241302413024130241 3024130241302413024130241302 24130241302413024130241302413 130241302413024130241302413024 0241302413024130241302413024130 41302413024130241302413024130241 302413024130241302413024130241302 2413024130241302413024130241302413 13024130241302413024130241302413024 024130241302413024130241302413024130 4130241302413024130241302413024130241 30241302413024130241302413024130241302 241302413024130241302413024130241302413 1302413024130241302413024130241302413024 02413024130241302413024130241302413024130 413024130241302413024130241302413024130241 3024130241302413024130241302413024130241302 24130241302413024130241302413024130241302413 130241302413024130241302413024130241302413024 0241302413024130241302413024130241302413024130 41302413024130241302413024130241302413024130241 302413024130241302413024130241302413024130241302 2413024130241302413024130241302413024130241302413 13024130241302413024130241302413024130241302413024 024130241302413024130241302413024130241302413024130 4130241302413024130241302413024130241302413024130241 30241302413024130241302413024130241302413024130241302 241302413024130241302413024130241302413024130241302413 1302413024130241302413024130241302413024130241302413024 02413024130241302413024130241302413024130241302413024130 413024130241302413024130241302413024130241302413024130241 3024130241302413024130241302413024130241302413024130241302 24130241302413024130241302413024130241302413024130241302413 130241302413024130241302413024130241302413024130241302413024 0241302413024130241302413024130241302413024130241302413024130 41302413024130241302413024130241302413024130241302413024130241 302413024130241302413024130241302413024130241302413024130241302 2413024130241302413024130241302413024130241302413024130241302413 13024130241302413024130241302413024130241302413024130241302413024 024130241302413024130241302413024130241302413024130241302413024130 4130241302413024130241302413024130241302413024130241302413024130241 30241302413024130241302413024130241302413024130241302413024130241302 241302413024130241302413024130241302413024130241302413024130241302413 1302413024130241302413024130241302413024130241302413024130241302413024 02413024130241302413024130241302413024130241302413024130241302413024130

  • mysqld crashes on any statement

    - by ??iu
I restarted my slave to change configuration settings to skip reverse hostname lookup on connecting and to enable the slow query log. I edited /etc/my.cnf making only these changes, then restarted mysqld with /etc/init.d/mysql restart All appeared to be well but when I connect to msyqld remotely or locally though it connects okay a slight problem is that mysqld crashes whenever you try to issue any kind of statement. • ASP.NET Create zip file for download: the compressed zipped folder is invalid or corrupted

    - by Jason Braswell
string fileName = "test.zip"; string path = "c:\\temp\\"; string fullPath = path + fileName; FileInfo file = new FileInfo(fullPath); Response.Clear(); Response.ClearContent(); Response.ClearHeaders(); Response.Buffer = true; Response.AppendHeader("content-disposition", "attachment; filename=" + fileName ); Response.AppendHeader("content-length", file.Length.ToString()); Response.ContentType = "application/x-compressed"; Response.TransmitFile(fullPath); Response.Flush(); Response.End(); The actual zip file c:\temp\test.zip is good, valid, whatever you want to call it. When I navigate to the directory c:\temp\ and double-click on the test.zip file; it opens right up. My problem seems only to be with the download. The code above executes without any issue. A file download dialog is presented. I can chose to either save or open. If I try to open the file from the dialog, or save it and then open it. I get the following dialog message: The Compressed (zipped) Folder is invalid or corrupted. For Response.ContentType I've tried: application/x-compressed application/x-zip-compressed application/x-gzip-compresse application/octet-stream application/zip The zip file is being created with some prior code (that I'm sure is working fine due to my ability to open the created file directly) using: Ionic.zip http://www.codeplex.com/DotNetZip

    Hi there! I've been trying to retrive attachment from message in Exchange server using WebDAV.I don't know which version of Exchange the company is running. I'can successfully read messages and retrive list of attachments. However I am failing to save attachments. In both cases errors is: "The remote server returned an error: <403 Forbidden. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? My code: static void Main(string[] args) { HttpWebRequest Request; WebResponse Response; CredentialCache MyCredentialCache; string attachment = "http://mailserver/Exchange/Username/Inbox/Test.EML/Test.txt"; string strUserName = "username"; string strPassword = "password"; string strDomain = "domain"; try { // HttpWebRequest MyCredentialCache = new System.Net.CredentialCache(); MyCredentialCache.Add(new System.Uri(attachment), "NTLM", new NetworkCredential(strUserName, strPassword, strDomain)); Request = (HttpWebRequest)HttpWebRequest.Create(attachment); Request.Credentials = MyCredentialCache; Request.Method = "GET"; Response = (HttpWebResponse)Request.GetResponse(); } catch(Exception ex) { Console.WriteLine(ex.Message.ToString()); } try { //Web Client string downloadPath = "D:\\Downloads"; WebClient wcClient = new WebClient(); wcClient.Credentials = new NetworkCredential(strUserName, strPassword, strDomain); string file = Path.GetFileName(attachment); string filename = Path.Combine(downloadPath, file); wcClient.DownloadFile(attachment, filename); } catch (Exception ex) { Console.WriteLine(ex.Message.ToString()); } Console.ReadLine(); }

  • How is counting sort a stable sort?

    - by eSKay
Suppose my input is (a,b and c to distinguish between equal keys) 1 6a 8 3 6b 0 6c 4 My counting sort will save as (discarding the a,b and c info!!) 0(1) 1(1) 3(1) 4(1) 6(3) 8(1) which will give me the result 0 1 3 4 6 6 6 8 So, how is this stable sort? I am not sure how it is "maintaining the relative order of records with equal keys." Please explain.
