Hi,
Is it possible to have Javascript compute a timestamp returned from php's time() function and present it in a readable format such as "Sun, 18th April 2010 at 4:00 pm"?
Thanks:)
On this website,http://www.webdavsystem.com/server/documentation/ms_office_read_only, it states that in order to open a writable version of a MS Office doc this condition has to be met:
Your WebDAV server must be configured on site root.
Is this still true? Because I tried the SqlStorage sample and it works fine. I deployed the application on IIS 7, under <server>/TestWebDav and MS Office 2010 opened the documents in the sample just fine.
Thanks
Hi all,
I am wondering what is the kind of object that shows up when in the Contact application, you hit search option, what is it ? a Custom Quick Search Bar, a custom notificaction bar, other idea ...
An image of what I am talking about is available here : http://www.developpez.net/forums/attachments/p60921d1270798944/java/general-java/java-mobiles/android/cet-objet-image-jointe/screen-shot-2010-04-09-at-9.37.38-am.png/
Thank you all
Why does the following line "alarm.AlarmEvent += new AlarmEventHandler(alarm_Sound);" gives me "An object reference is required for the non-static field, method, or property 'AlarmClock.Alarm.alarm_Sound(object, System.EventArgs)'"
public static void Main(string[] args)
{
Alarm alarm = new Alarm(new DateTime(2010, 4, 7, 23, 2, 0));
alarm.Set();
alarm.AlarmEvent += new AlarmEventHandler(alarm_Sound);
}

What is the most portable and "right" way to do conversion from extended precision float (80-bit value, also known as "long double" in some compilers) to double (64-bit) in MSVC win32/win64?
MSVC currently (as of 2010) assumes that "long double" is "double" synonym.
Hi,
I read a ton of pages and tried lots of solutions but none have worked yet!
My problem is that:
test.asifa.net/asifa-wp
Redirects to:
test.asifa.net/asifa-wp/
Which redirects to the first page.
What's a little bizarre is asifa-wp produces:
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//IETF//DTD HTML 2.0//EN">
<html><head>
<title>301 Moved Permanently</title>
</head><body>
<h1>Moved Permanently</h1>
<p>The document has moved <a href="http://test.asifa.net/asifa-wp/">here</a>.</p>
</body></html>
Whereas asifa-wp/ produces an empty page but the following headers (curl -v output):
* About to connect() to test.asifa.net port 80 (#0)
* Trying 69.163.203.138... connected

Any help at all would be tremendously appreciated!!!
When editing Silverlight XAML in Visual Studio 2008, the Document Outline panel is not supported by Microsoft.
1) Any helpful tip for navigating a deep XAML markup hierarchy without the benefit of the Document Outline tool?
2) Is this supported in Visual Studio 2010?
How can I parse a pubDate from a RSS feed to a Date object in java.
The format in the RSS feed:
Sat, 24 Apr 2010 14:01:00 GMT
What I have at the moment:
DateFormat dateFormat = DateFormat.getInstance();
Date pubDate = dateFormat.parse(item.getPubDate().getText());
But this code throws an ParseException with the message Unparseable date
I have an ASP.NET .ASMX web service that I converted to .NET 4.0 with VS 2010 and is hosted in an IIS 7.5 (Windows 7) application pool. I have a simple html page that I use to make the AJAX request to the web service.
How can I debug what's going on in the web service in Visual Studio? Because the HTML ajax request doesn't seem "tied in" to the web service, which is located on my local IIS service, I can't figure out how to debug it.
MSVC's "secure" sprintf funcions have a template version that 'knows' the size of the target buffer. However, this code happily paints 567890 over the stack after the end of bytes...
char bytes[5];
_snprintf_s( bytes, _TRUNCATE, "%s", "1234567890" );
Any idea what I do wrong, or is this a known bug?
(I'm working in VS2005 - didn't test in 2008 or 2010)
i am getting this error in my apache2 log
[Tue Apr 06 09:00:56 2010] [error] [client A.B.C.D] request failed: URI too long (longer than 8190)
what setting can i change to increase this limit?
We are currently building a WPF solution in Blend 3 and Intellisense is extremely slow.
Visual Studio 2008 and 2010 beta 2 do not have any problems, Blend 2 did not have any issues either.
How would it be possible to disable Intellisense in the XAML editor.
Many Thanks,
KShaban
Hi,
I am trying to set default value in DateField using the following statement
DateField dateField = new DateField("Birthday:", 567993600, DateField.DATE | DateField.FIELD_LEFT);
but when I run my application it shows me 7 Jan 1970 instead of 1 Jan 1988.
I checked the time stamp on http://www.onlineconversion.com/unix_time.htm
and it shows me correct expected date which is, "Fri, 01 Jan 1988 00:00:00 GMT"
I am using 8900 simulator and my date time is correct showing today's date 31 Dec 2010 in date time under options folder.

I'm trying to create a Export method of a VCF file to our CRM application.
I'm running the new VS 2010 but target the project as .NET 3.5
what is the technique to hook up into this context menu?
I'm very new to AddIns but as a logical line of thought is to create an Outlook AddIn, but I'm failing miserably to add a menu item to this context menu :(
Thank you for any help on this
Hi
I know Visual Studio 2010's STL has been rewritten to support rvalue reference to boost its performance a lot.
I am curious that STL of gcc 4.4 (and above) does support it?
Thanks.
My understanding was that the default encoding for wsHttp binding is text. However, when I use Fiddler to see the SOAP message, a part of it looks like this:
<s:Envelope xmlns:s="http://www.w3.org/2003/05/soap-envelope" xmlns:a="http://www.w3.org/2005/08/addressing" xmlns:u="http://docs.oasis-open.org/wss/2004/01/oasis-200401-wss-wssecurity-utility-1.0.xsd"><s:Header><a:Action s:mustUnderstand="1" u:Id="_2">http://tempuri.org/Services/MyContract/GetDataResponse</a:Action><a:RelatesTo u:Id="_3">urn:uuid:503c5525-f585-4ecd-ac09-24db78526952</a:RelatesTo><o:Security s:mustUnderstand="1" xmlns:o="http://docs.oasis-open.org/wss/2004/01/oasis-200401-wss-wssecurity-secext-1.0.xsd"><u:Timestamp u:Id="uuid-8935f789-fbb7-4c69-9f67-7708373088c5-22"><u:Created>2010-03-08T19:15:50.852Z</u:Created><u:Expires>2010-03-08T19:20:50.852Z</u:Expires></u:Timestamp><c:DerivedKeyToken u:Id="uuid-8935f789-fbb7-4c69-9f67-7708373088c5-18" xmlns:c="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2005/02/sc"><o:SecurityTokenReference><o:Reference URI="urn:uuid:b2cbfe07-8093-4f44-8a06-f8b062291643" ValueType="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2005/02/sc/sct"/></o:SecurityTokenReference><c:Offset>0</c:Offset><c:Length>24</c:Length><c:Nonce>afOoDygRG7BW+q8+makVIA==</c:Nonce></c:DerivedKeyToken><c:DerivedKeyToken u:Id="uuid-8935f789-fbb7-4c69-9f67-7708373088c5-19" xmlns:c="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2005/02/sc"><o:SecurityTokenReference><o:Reference URI="urn:uuid:b2cbfe07-8093-4f44-8a06-f8b062291643" ValueType="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2005/02/sc/sct"/></o:SecurityTokenReference><c:Nonce>l4rFsdYKLJTK4tgUWrSBRw==</c:Nonce></c:DerivedKeyToken><e:ReferenceList xmlns:e="http://www.w3.org/2001/04/xmlenc#"><e:DataReference URI="#_1"/><e:DataReference URI="#_4"/></e:ReferenceList><e:EncryptedData Id="_4" Type="http://www.w3.org/2001/04/xmlenc#Element" xmlns:e="http://www.w3.org/2001/04/xmlenc#"><e:EncryptionMethod Algorithm="http://www.w3.org/2001/04/xmlenc#aes256-cbc"/><KeyInfo xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2000/09/xmldsig#"><o:SecurityTokenReference><o:Reference ValueType="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2005/02/sc/dk" URI="#uuid-8935f789-fbb7-4c69-9f67-7708373088c5-19"/></o:SecurityTokenReference></KeyInfo><e:CipherData><e:CipherValue>dW8B7wGV9tYaxM5ADzY6UuEgB5TFzdy4BZjOtF0NEbHyNevCIAVHMoyA69U4oUjQHMJD5nHS0N4tnJqfJkYellKlpFZcwqruJ1J/TFx9uwLFFAwZ+dSfkDqgKu/1MFzVSY8eyeYKmbPbVEYOHr0lhw3+7wn5NQr3yxvCjlucTAdklIhD72YnVlSVapOW3zgysGt5hStyj+bmIz5hLGyyv6If4HzWjUiru8V3iMM/ss1I+i9sJOD013kr4zaaA937CN9+/aZ2wbDXnYj31UX49uE/vvt9Tl+c4SiydbiX7tp1eNSTx9Ms5O64gb3aUmHEAYOJ19XCrr756ssFZtaE7QOAoPQkFbx9zXy0mb9j1YoPQNG+JAcrN0yoRN1klhccmY+csfYXdq7YBB/KS+u2WnUjQ7SlNFy5qIPxuy5y0Jyedr2diPKLi0gUi+cK49BLQtG/XEShtxFaeMy7zZTrQADxww7kEkhvtmAlmyRbz3oGc+
This doesn't look like text encoding to me (Shouldn't text encoding send data in readable form)? What am I missing?
Also, how do I setup binary encoding for wsHttp binding?
This is what I see on my Mac:
$ uname -a
Darwin be-2.local 10.3.0 Darwin Kernel Version 10.3.0: Fri Feb 26 11:58:09 PST 2010; root:xnu-1504.3.12~1/RELEASE_I386 i386
I have Mac OS X 10.6.3. Why the kernel is of version 10.3? And how can I upgrade it? Thanks.
Using Visual Studio 2010 Professional, I have a ToString() method that looks like this:
public override string ToString()
{
return "something" + "\n" + "something";
}
Because there are several "something"'s and each is long, I'd like to see
something
something
Sadly, I'm seeing
"something\nsomething"
Is there a way to get what I want?
Hi,
I have downloaded the Visual Studio 2010 CTP along with Phone 7 emulator, but am finding writing code a little counter intuative (coming from a c++ background). Can someone direct me to some good intermediate-level resources / tutorials?
I read somewhere the you can't remove response headers once they've been added. Given that, I'm wondering where in a standard ASP.NET web forms application do response headers get added initially. For example, these:
Date Fri, 23 Apr 2010 16:25:56 GMT
Server Microsoft-IIS/6.0
X-Powered-By ASP.NET
Cache-Control private
And can I stop it from happening? Do subsequent headers override old headers? Does my question even make sense?
Thanks.
Hello,
I need to implement
File[] files = getFiles( String folderName, String ptrn );
Where ptrn is a command prompt style pattern like "*2010*.txt"
I'm familar with FilenameFilter class, but can't implement
public boolean accept(File dir, String filename)
because String.matches() doesn't accept such patterns.
Thanks!
Why in Windows 7 do I see the Data & Time in DateTimePicker inverse and in Windows XP it is fine? (the region and language are the same)
For example:
Win7: 2010/12/31 - 51:09
XP : 31/12/2010 - 09:51
Thanks in advance.
I am using Jquery datepicker plugin and my requirement is I want to allow user to select Month and Year when he click on the Header say 'May 2010'. I want to make the Header say 'May 2010' of datepicker as a link and when he clicks on it, it should display a small div or option to select month and year with Apply and close buttons and when he click on apply the dat picker should change with the selected month and year.
Is it possible?
what tokens do you find useful in visual studio?
(visual studio 2010 ? environment ? task list ? tokens)
currently i have only:
HACK - low
REVIEW - high
TODO - normal
WTF - high
(only these - deleted some default ones)
are you using any others?
are you covering any other important thing with comment tokens?
any best practices? thnx
