  • How can I express this nginx config as apache2 rewrite rules?

    - by codecowboy
if (!-e $request_filename){ rewrite /iOS/(.*jpg)$ /$1 last; rewrite /iOS/(.*jpeg)$ /$1 last; rewrite /iOS/(.*png)$ /$1 last; rewrite /iOS/(.*css)$ /$1 last; rewrite /iOS/(.*js)$ /$1 last; rewrite /Android/(.*jpg)$ /$1 last; rewrite /Android/(.*jpeg)$ /$1 last; rewrite /Android/(.*png)$ /$1 last; rewrite /Android/(.*css)$ /$1 last; rewrite /Android/(.*js)$ /$1 last; rewrite ^/(.*)$ /?route=$1 last; } There are some vanity URLs e.g. mysite.com/yourdetails which are handled internally by a router class (its a PHP app with index.php as the entry point) and they seem to work fine on nginx but not Apache :-/ I tried this but the vanity URLs are not working RewriteEngine On RewriteBase / RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !=/favicon.ico RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php?route=$1 [L] I'd like to rule out Apache config first before I get too deep into the code.

  • AT&T Application Resource Analyzer in NetBeans IDE

    - by Geertjan
Here at Øredev in Malmö I met Doug Sillars who does developer outreach for the AT&T Application Resource Optimizer. In this YouTube clip you see Doug explaining how it works and what it can do for optimizing performance of mobile applications. There's a free and open source Android app on GitHub that you can install on Android to collect data and then there's a Java Swing application for analyzing the results. And here's what that application looks like as a plugin in NetBeans IDE, click to enlarge the image, which shows the Android sources of the Data Collector, as well as the Data Analyzer ready to be used to collect data: Since the ARO Data Analyzer is written in Java and has JPanels defining its UI layer, integrating the user interface wasn't hard. Now working on the Actions, so there'll be a new ARO menu with start/stop data collecting menu items, etc, reusing as much of the original code as possible. That part is actually already working. I started up an Android emulator, then started the data collection process from the IDE. Now need to include the Actions for importing the data into the analyzer, together with a few other related features. A pretty cool feature in ARO is video capture, so that a movie can be made by ARO of all the steps taken on the device during the collection process, which will also be nice to have integrated into the NetBeans plugin. Ultimately, this will be handy for anyone creating Android applications in NetBeans IDE since they'll be able to use AT&T's ARO tool for optimizing the performance of the applications they're developing. It will also be useful for those using the built-in Cordova tools in NetBeans IDE to create iOS applications because ARO is also applicable to analyzing iOS application performance.

  • Antenna Aligner Part 6: Little Robots

    - by Chris George
A week ago I took temporary ownership of a HTC Desire S so that I could start testing my app under Android. Support for Android was not in my original plan, but when Nomad added support for it recently, I starting thinking why not! So with some trepidation, I clicked the Build for Android button on the Nomad toolbar... nothing. Hmm... that's not right, I was expecting something to build. After a bit of faffing around I finally realised that I hadn't read the text on the Android setup page properly (yes that's right, RTFM!), and I needed a two-part application identifier, separated by a dot. I did this (not sure what the two part thing is all about, that one my list to investigate!) After making the change, the Android build worked and created the apk file. I uploaded this to the device and nervously ran it... it worked!!!  Well, more or less! So, there was not splash screen, but this was no surprise because I only have the iOS icons and splash screen in my project at the moment. What was more concerning was the compass update didn't seem to be working. I suspect this is a result of using an iOS specific option in the Phonegap compass watcher. Another thing to investigate. I've also just noticed that the css gradient background hasn't worked either... These issues aside, it was actually more successful than I was expecting, so happy days! Right, lets get Googling...   Next time: Preparing for submission to the App Store! :-)

  • Programming Carreer. What should i choose? [closed]

    - by thenewbie
I have an experience in programming. Im not that experience but i have created some desktop application like payroll etc. In web i had created some websites. Now im studying java for android. I already created an application on android and submitted it on google play. However, i feel like the excitement in creating application for android or web is gone. What i think i like is to program in c++ language. but i have a doubt mastering it. Because nowadays only a handful of company hire a c++ junior programmer. I think only in gaming industry that they would hire a c++ programmer and has an 3 or more years of xp. While in java there are lots of oppurtuniy especialy for android. and I dont have a plan studying objective c cause i dont have mac. SO what should i realy choose? thank you..

  • How to programatically create and read WEP/EAP WiFi configurations in Android?

    - by Als
How to programatically create and read WEP/EAP WiFi configurations in Android? I have seen a number of people struggling on this very question on various forums and all across the community. I know this is not that straight forward(especially EAP) to figure out because When I wanted to acheive the same I too struggled quite a lot.Well, all the hard work of code analysis and searching various implementations on the internet done with I was finally able to acheive the goal. All the credit goes to number of open source projects and their developers. I would like to share this knowledge with all, Since SO encourages this: "It's also perfectly fine to ask and answer your own question, as long as you pretend you're on Jeopardy: phrase it in the form of a question." Part 1: Creating a WEP WiFi configuration programatically. Part 2: Read a WEP WiFi configuration programatically. Part 3: Read a EAP WiFi Configuration programatically. Part 4: Save a EAP WiFi configuration programatically.

  • Silverlight MergedDictionary - Attribute Value out of Range

    - by Wonko the Sane
Hello All, I have a Silverlight-3 solution that contains a few different projects. I want to have one "common" project for holding controls and resources that will be used by multiple other projects. Within the common project, there is a folder called Resources, which holds a ResourceDictionary (CommonColors.xaml). This is set to be built as a Resource, Do Not Copy. I add a reference to the common project in another project (call it UncommonControls), and attempt to add the ResourceDictionary as a MergedDictionary: <UserControl.Resources> <ResourceDictionary> <ResourceDictionary.MergedDictionaries> <ResourceDictionary Source="/Common;component/Resources/CommonColors.xaml" /> <ResourceDictionary Source="/UncommonControls;component/Resources/UncommonStyles.xaml" /> </ResourceDictionary.MergedDictionaries> </ResourceDictionary> </UserControl.Resources> When I try to run, I get an exception: Attribute /Common;component/Resources/CommonColors.xaml value is out of range. [Line: 14 Position: 44] --- Inner Exception --- The given key was not present in the dictionary. However, if I reference a ResourceDictionary local to Uncommon (such as the UncommonStyles.xaml, above) project, which is set up with the same Build properties, it works fine. I haven't seen anything that says SL3 can't reference an external ResourceDictionary (on the contrary, I've seen an example of using one, albeit with no downloadable project to verify the behavior). Thanks, Wonko

  • Grails, app-engine, jpa - beginner having trouble with grails generate-all

    - by John
I'm trying to learn about grails with Google App Engine and JPA by following a few tutorials: http://www.morkeleb.com/2009/08/12/grails-and-google-appengine-beginners-guide/ http://inhouse32.appspot.com/index.html http://grails.org/plugin/app-engine I've got grails 1.3.0 RC 2, and App Engine SDK 1.3.3, and I'm using Windows 7. The steps that I try are: grails create-app appname cd appname grails install-plugin app-engine. I answer jpa when asked about jdo/jpa. It appears to install the gorm-jpa plugin automatically, although the tutorials all suggest installing gorm-jpa manually. grails install-plugin gorm-jpa (just in case) grails create-domain-class test.Person Edit the grails-app/domain/test/Person.groovy to add name and address fields: package test import javax.persistence.*; // import com.google.appengine.api.datastore.Key; @Entity class Person implements Serializable { @Id @GeneratedValue(strategy = GenerationType.IDENTITY) Long id @Basic String name @Basic String address static constraints = { id visible:false } } grails generate-all test.Person I get errors during this final step: C:\Users\John\Workspaces\STS\appname>grails generate-all test.Person Welcome to Grails 1.3.0.RC2 - http://grails.org/ Licensed under Apache Standard License 2.0 Grails home is set to: C:\Users\John\Downloads\grails-1.3.0.RC2\grails-1.3.0.RC2 Base Directory: C:\Users\John\Workspaces\STS\appname Resolving dependencies...
